Oh... Curse my Bad Luck!

I groan as I try rising from the blood Dropping from the slaughtered knights that I lay on. Rising to my knees, I put a hand out while the other was around my waist as I barely stood up.

When I stood up, Sir Galahead marched over to me.

"B-but Why?" I find myself asking as I look at him.

He has deep set eyes with a black beard around his jaw, while his hair was tied back into a shoulder length pony. His armor looks peculiar from the others because one, he doesn't wear a helmet and two, the red eye pentagram on his chest which was engraved on his breastplates.

Yes, the red eye pentagram on his breastplates appear to have a deeper hue than the others.

Galahead's dark armor makes him stand out as against the mix of fallen silver steeled knights around me, on the ground. He has this arrogant, self accomplished airs about him as he places his gauntlet hands to rest in the hilt of his horizontally thrusting blade --I don't know if blade qualifies for it but the sword has seven Ruby like items in the center of the large blade that appear to be absorbing the spilled blood on it while it's handle is just a thin, not so special hilt.

He has these two brown leather belts, one which is laced about his waist  and the other at his lower torso, diagonally, just above the segmented waist guards- I don't know if that is the appropriate word too.

Yes, that description doesn't just cut it but cut me some slack. I barely know what these armor platings are called.

However, aside from these, his armor is the same as the rest of his colleagues who are busy, occupied with slaughtering in the background. But it doesn't look like they are having a good time as they keep launching spells and weapons at the flying black dragon.

Unfortunately for them, the Dragon does not hesitate to return the favor with its flames and occasional chomps.

And this Guardian Dragon is the only thing keeping the Scanty Knights of Titledom still fighting.

"Why? Why?" Galahead saidas he looked at me with mockery in his eyes.

No... Scrap that!

He is looking at me with l**t all over his face as he scrutinizes my body while l*****g his lips.

Gee.. I am disgusted! Is this how ladies feel when guys look at them like this?

Is this what eye r**e feels like? Damn... When I get back, I promise not to stare too hard at ladies with that scrutinizing eye anymore...

What? Don't give me that look…" I murmured, crossing my arms.

"What do you know about Hearth, Samantha?" He looks me in the eyes, as if expectant of an answer.

But What do I really know about this game? I mean, there's no back data or anything.

You know, games like this usually start with a briefing on how the game system works. Stuffs like, mission, about, story... you get the drift, right? But these Knights of Destiny just started immediately and brought me here eventually. Now I am trapped in a female body but l feel everything like it's mine which I still find hard to believe because it is not an VR game.

" Because if you do know anything, you would understand that My Cause is for the greater good!"

Beep... Boop... Boop Beep!

The sound rang faintly again as I stood up from the ground, having little or no idea of what it was. It's that stupid system and I am not wrong as a blue text dialog box opens before my eyes.

As Expected!

But what I don't expect is the loud…

DING!

... That almost shatters my ear drums as I reel over in pain.

"Way to go System... Just when this guy is hell bent on killing my character, you pop up?

Classic Game Hack!

[System has recognized Gamer xx65 desire for World Building and Gaming System. System will begin to address this matter promptly by loading Gamer XX65 with the necessary basic information.

During this time, Gamer xx65 will be rendered immobile.. ]

Wait... What?

Immobile? What about Galahead? Does he get to freeze too?

The system does not reply but I am very certain it can. It just chooses to ignore me.

Really?

"Helloooooo, System... He's right in front of me…"

[Gamer XX65 is asked to remain still and not exit the Basic Information Logging as doing so may result in catastrophic results... Please Wait...]

That proves it… The System can reply to me... See?

Hey, hey, system...

"Wait, Catastrophic? What's that to mean?

DINGGGGG...

[...]

Aaaaaaarggghhhhh... My head!

" System, you did that on purpose! I yell mentally at the sudden unwarranted ding in my head.

But as usual, it ignores everything.

I don't know if it's just me, but this weird numbness overtakes me and I arrive in a space made of distorting pixels of blue and of course, the blue text dialog box is here in front of me.

Just What is this place?

[Welcome, Gamer XX65 to the Gamer Information Bank. Your Gamer Information log is Titledom Basic History!] The dialog box reads, the entirety of the blue pixelated space about me fading off into white fog.

[Location: Titledom, Kingdom Xerxes

Development Status: Town

Governance: Lady Samantha- Duchess/Lady

Setting: Alternate Medieval World, Kingdom of Xerxes, Continent of Heuropeh.

A typical kingdom in Heuropeh is made of an alliance of Several Lords pledging allegiance to a central figure which is decided by wealth and military capacity, a government of feudalism.

Strictly Patriarchal Society and heavy reliance on the Knight System.

The Church plays a major role in its campaign in purging the dungeon spawning points, thus making Xerxes and other Kingdoms to the North, a safe place to be.

Basic History Loading...]

The dialog box has its words blinking once I read to the end.

[Decades ago, King Levi of the City State of Athan came into power after overthrowing the then King of Xerxes.

In his rewarding of his allies, he gave lands and gold and many other gifts. But to his most trusted Knight, which he feared would one day supersede him, Levi sent Sir Ade to the Village of Cornwall, one of the border villages of Xerxes against the sea from which mythical and strange creatures wreaked havoc.]

As I read, the space shifts and I see the image of two men together, one having more presence and beards and sinister look with a hand raised, pointing into the distance.

Ahhhh... My Head!

[By the King's Words, Sir Ade was sent there to find out about the appearance of strange and mythical creatures and beasts that occasionally rampaged the area, but...

In more practical terms, Sir Ade was sent to Cornwall to die.

However, the wittiness and practicality of the new Count of Cornwall enabled him success, even to his finding a dragon egg, and as result, two more border villages with Coronwall had their Counts coming to pledge loyalty to him.

Thus and thus, promoting the prosperous Count of Coronwall into Dukedom, Duke Ade of the Duchy of Titledom.]

The scene warps now, fizzling out to form the image of a Knight seated on a wooden throne while two more people kowtow to him.

[The New Town of Titledom, as was called by Sir Ade as a reminder to him to live up to his Title, had many needs and wants, many of which were ignored by King Levi of Athan. ]

And once again, the space warps showing the two men from earlier, the one who was pointing to a distance now  raising the flat of his palm into the speaking lips of the other.

This stuff is actually interesting...

Assuming I can ignore this constant ringing in my head.

Ahhh!

[In desperation, Sir Ade reached to the Pope, sending his first child and daughter, Dominica, to entered into the Convent to please the Pope as well as incur favours.

In return, the Pope assigns a Chaplain to Titledom, one who would be vital in lending all help possible by aid of magic and will.

Thus and thus, Titledom prospered, Until...]

Until Sir Galahead went rogue?

Wait... Is that supposed to be suspenseful?

'Come tell it already' I frown mentally at the dialog box that refuses to change even after I am done reading.

Uh...System?

If you're not going to say, at least get me out of this place.

Luckily for me, the text dialog box changes its wordings again as the scene shifts to that of Sir Ade helping another fallen male from the ground.

[Until Sir Ade teaches his finest knightage skills to the aspiring Knight, Sir Galahead, in thoughts of developing his army to be up to standards in protecting the people from the spontaneous dungeon beasts and demons about.

But, unfortunately, Galahead had plans on the Lord's Throne.

Galahead wanted to be Lord!]

The scene shifts to the previous man with his box like beard now emphasized more, shouting to the face of Sir Ade.

[Seeing the desires of his supposed trusted Knight, Lord Ade banished Galahead from Titledom, only for Sir Galahead to return...]

The pixel space rearranged themselves to form Sir Galahead now, standing with a sword arm raised high and the red eye pentagram on his chest, basically his current version.

[... backed up Dark Knights with goal of Destroying the lineage of Lord Ade and becoming the self proclaimed Lord in the Name of the Order of the Sorcerer Supreme]

This time, the space doesn't warp at all. It remains the same and before I can put one plus one together, the whole place begins to fade out.

Leaving what I saw as the image of Sir Galahead getting fused into the real Sir Galahead who stands as if he has been talking, the smell of blood, a solid reminder that I am still in a battle field.

Gee... My Head...  Aaaaarghhh...

I reel over, holding my head with both hands because it hurts like crazy. It is almost as if someone placed my head on a board and is nailing 6ft nail points into the temples of my head.

DINGGGGG!!!

Very Sharp!

Damn you... seriously, what's this?

My Head!

[Game r XX65 has been updated with basic Information Logging.  Gamer XX65 has been randomly awarded System Reward: 'Body Tempering Strength' for remaining still.]

Oh, this feels good.

I can almost feel my body rearranging itself.

Oh... Who am I deceiving? I feel even horrible... If there's a word like that, that is.

I mean come on, my head hurts...

Is there something like Paracetamol here? A-ha, there should be Aspirin right? I mean, Aspirin is pretty popular and I'm guessing even in Medieval Times, that that would exist right?

DINGGGGGGGGGG....!!

AHHHHH HHH.... Curse you and your Dings!

No, seriously, need joke!

What that f**k? I can still see the dialog box that always pops out in my front, so why the hell does it have to Ding ding me, increasing the horrible aches in my head.

[Gamer XX65 has been randomly awarded System Skill 'Pet Communication' for completing the Basic Information Logging. ]

I am drained but I still got to ask... What is pet communication?

[Pet Communication is a skill whereby a Gamer may send his/her thoughts to their pet.]

Well, that's a good one.

Congrats, Sam...

But however I barely have time to congratulate myself when I see Sir Galahead with a frustrated look-- the look you have when the person you're talking to is totally ignoring you- as he rushes towards me, his sword raised high up.

And I am totally not ready..

[Gamer will be rendered immobile for a few seconds.]

What?
