After few days of traveling, we finally manage to arrive at the capital city of the Adernul kingdom.
"Okay. We finally got here. What was this place called again?" – asked Shri.
"If I'm not mistaken, this city is called Nait." – said ClownFrog.
"Oh. Okay. Anyway, now that we are here, what do we do? Do we look around for the info again?" – asked Shri.
"Nah. First thing first. We need to find an equipment shop that can either sell good stuff or make us costume made equipment. Most of our items are common rarity and we need to change them quite often. It would be good idea if we manage to get a hold of some proper equipment and weapons that we can use for much longer." – said ClownFrog.
"I agree. Replacing equipment so often is very annoying. Plus. We earned a shit tons of money recently, so we are kind of rich right now. So, we can go wild a bit and order entire equipment for all of us to be costume made." – said GreyHunt.
After getting to the city, we instantly and split up in order to find the equipment selling shops and try to find one that can take costume orders.
"You know that costume order equipment cost a bit? Do you have any materials at least or something?" – asked the blacksmith.
"Nope." – said GreyHunt.
'Sigh'
"Look man. You do realize you will have to have a lot of money if you want me to make costume equipment. I need a proper materials for each piece of equipment, so I have to find it and buy if I don't have anything. Normally people bring the people bring materials or something that can be used since it reduces the price of the costume equipment signific, but if you want to order something, without giving me a proper materials, that means everything will be VERY pricy. You got that?" – said blacksmith.
"We know. We came prepared." – said ClownFrog while putting a bag of money on the table.
"Oh… There is a lot golden coins inside. You really did came prepared." – said the old blacksmith while looking inside the bag filled with coins.
"Yeb. We have a lot of money on us, so don't worry. Are you up for it?" – asked GreyHunt.
"…Okay. It will take some time since I have to other stuff as well, so I don't know how long it will take. Maybe it will be done or maybe tomorrow or maybe day after. Don't know. Try to visit me from time to time and see if the stuff you ordered is finished." – said the blacksmith.
Thanks to the fortune we manage to acquire from that treasure chest we found, we ended up quite rich and thanks to that, we were able to order whole costume made equipment set and weapons. The cost for everything will be pretty high, but its no problem for us right now.
We also bought some rings and bracelets that give us a little boost. We also wanted to order costume made rings and bracelets, but the old man blacksmith said that he don't accept a costume order commissions for accessories like these, unless we bring some necessary materials.
Well, we still manage to order the stuff we wanted, so it is all good.
Anyway, after we left the blacksmith shop, we decided to do some quest from the adventure guild.
THIS TIME there were no scam quests. Well, there were two scam quest, but we noticed them just in time before accepting them.
Anyway, we accepted some quest and went straight to the grass field to hunt monsters called sky hawks.
The average level of the sky hawks was level 152 while our party members levels were 135, but we manage to easily defeat all sky hawks with ease.
Reason?
[Title: The One Who Helped The Crushing Hooves Tribe]
[Title: Chaos Maker – Tier 1]
[Title: The One Who Sabotaged The City Of Trade]
Thanks to the 3 titles we recently mange to get a hold of, we gained a power up equal to 30 level ups and if we count the title [Amaran Helper] that give us power up equal to 5 level ups, our current power in levels is equal to a level 181.
We are very strong right now, however sooner or later we would end up dealing with somebody who also have multiple titles or for example that bite ant queen we fought that time. That boss monster was above any normal or boss monster around her level, pretty much, she was a very powerful like high level monster but she did not had that high of level.
Or the minotaurs. They were back then higher level than us, but that wasn't the thing that made them strong. They were just straight up strong not because of their high level. Even though we didn't a real fight with them or something but one of them that ended up taking all of our hits manage to survive our assault and not only that but 3 attacks from the minotaurs it was all it took to take my strongest undead at that time.
The ant queen and the minotaurs are example of: "Same level but different power level". Same thing could be say about us technically.
But we don't know how many people on the average have a title or two and what does their title do. For example, my first title I ever got is called [Necromancer Over Necromancer] and it doesn't provide either stat or skill points but instead passive effect. What if one title give you free 30 level buff while other give you OP passive?
There is still a lot we don't know about the titles.
But we found out something recently. We received 2 titles from a quest and I received 1 from beating solo a boss monster that was a necromancer. And now we received 2 new titles for doing something that was neither a quest or anything else. That means that there are many means of getting a titles and we have to find out how.
Anyway, let's stop talking about tiles for now and focus on the current situation.
We continue hunting for the rest of the day and we did not encounter even a slightest problem. The hunt was extremely easy for us all and we manage to even level up few times.
However, the next 3 days we wouldn't focus on hunting but instead focus on the information gathering.
We decided to finally start gathering some info about the old territory of the Umil kingdom that we desperately need before going there.
Unlike before in the Emerald city where we couldn't find anything useful, this time the results were extremely good. We were able to get a hold of some important information that may help us big time.
First thing first is the terrain.
Around 80% of the territory of that old kingdom is a desert. Well, we already kind of knew that place is a desert from Amaran notes.
The next thing we found was about the people of the destroyed kingdom.
From the stuff I manage to find in the library, I've found out that population of the old Umil kingdom was mostly consisted of humans, around 60% the people living there were humans. There was also some other humanoid races like, dwarfs, elves, lizardmans and others but it is not all. Around 30% or maybe 40% of the population were demi human monsters like lamias, harpies or some races called sobek. The lamias are half snakes half humans while harpies are half human half female. Both of these races only consists of females, there is no male harpies or male lamias.
As for the sobeks, they are also a demi human monster. They are humanoid crocodile monster. Their race was quiet well know during a war between two kingdoms. Many books says that they were a race of warriors or something. Apparently, a royal guard of the queen were completely composed of the sobeks. I guess they must have been very powerful if the queen assigned them such positions.
Anyway!
After the entire kingdom got taken over and absorbed by the Adernul kingdom, the demi human monsters were hunted down.
Probably a lot of them died, while some fled the country all together, but I can bet that there are still some hiding and living in that land.
Thanks to the title [The One Who Helped The Crushing Hooves Tribe], we have a slight bonus favorability while dealing with demi human monsters, so maybe trying to find some survivors of the old Umil kingdom, we maybe able to get them to help us.
We already experience firsthand that the minotaurs were strong. Not in the terms of levels but just straight up strong. I don't know if all demi human monsters are strong as minotaurs, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try and have them become our friends even if they are weak. The connections in this world is extremely important.
If we would somehow mange to find the demi human monsters that served once the queen, we maybe be able to recruit them to our side and gain a powerful allies and they maybe lend us a hand when we will try to fight this kingdom.
But there are obviously some problems.
First, we don't know if there is any alive or if they not all fled the kingdom after it fallen.
The second problem would be if they are even willing to join us. Many freaking years passed, so they maybe say that they don't want to join us.
Third problem is that we need to find them first. We don't freaking know where any of them are.
And the final problem would be about convincing them. I mean, meeting a total stranger out of the blue that ask you to help out in war and all? Yea… This will be bit problematic. Even if we do have title effect, that doesn't mean shit if we won't be able to earn their trust. Maybe the talk would go smoother if we would resurrect the queen first, but I don't know if that would even work or not.
Well, we still have a long way to get to the old territory of the Umil kingdom and we still have to find the tomb where the queen is located.
So, yea…. There would a shit tons of traveling.
Anyway, Oron and GreyHunt manage to find something important that we wanted.
Apparently, the monsters living in the territory of the Umil kingdom are not only a high level but quite powerful.
Because of the monster threat there, the kingdom had no choice but to dispatch a lot of soldiers there.
I guess the info about powerful monsters is probably true, since the kingdom it self had no choice but to dispatch soldiers there for safety.
However, that is quiet problematic for us. Since we would try to resurrect the queen and all, we would end facing monsters along the way and not only that but we would probably end facing the soldiers there and I already fuking saw myself a powerful NPC city guard capitan that manage to kill my undead faster than the harem fucker.
I don't honestly know if I would win against him 1vs1 if I fought him back then.
What if there would a people like him in the desert working for the Adernul Kingdom? Obviously, it could probably mean even bigger trouble that the monsters living there.
We really need to be prepared well enough before going there, since by the look of things, that place will be very problematic for us.
And that obviously means getting stronger. We are definitely stronger than before, but I don't know if that is enough. We need more! We need more power if want our plans to succeed.
"…"
"Fuck. The things started to look an easy right now, but now after thinking a lot, our situation is still extremely difficult." – said ClownFrog.
"Yea…. That kind of killed the mood if I'm being honest." – said Shri.
"Well, I'm sorry, but this is reality. Leveling up alone won't work. Items, titles, classes and some other stuff, we need to get before getting to the desert." – said ClownFrog.
"So, should we cause some chaos again? It did gave us two titles?" – said GreyHunt.
"Nope. This place is literally a capital city. There is obviously way more guards and soldiers here. If we try to pull the same shit here, we maybe end up being caught and it may even reveal us to the public that we were responsible for fuking the Emerald city." – said ClownFrog.
"So once again, we stay low?" – said Shri.
"Pretty much. Unless something special happens like a quest, where we have to do bad stuff, we have no choice but to stay low as possible." – said ClownFrog.
[Meanwhile, somewhere in the city.]
"SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! SHIT!"
A female wearing a robe was hiding in the alleyway and hitting a wall reputable until the brick wall began taking damage.
"This is just stupid! How in the?!"
"FUCK!"
"How the fuck I'm supposed to complete this stupid quest?!" – said a female player with red eyes and fangs
