Chapter 32

Sitting on the back of the wyvern, Grant felt his strong attachment with the particles of water in the atmosphere, completely unlike his affinity with the spirits of the other elements.

"What are you thinking about master?", Mio asked as her head popped up from behind his shoulders.

"Why do you ask?"

"Mio is just getting bored with the flying.", Mio said as she puffed up her cheeks to show her dissatisfaction.

"Don't worry we should be reaching the capital soon.", Grant said a he took out the world map from his storage.

Seeing the map Mio's eyes started shinning as if it was her first time looking at a map.

"We should reach before the sunrise", Grant said before handing the map to the curious Mio.

A smile unknowingly appeared on Grant's face when he saw Mio playing around with the map.

"We're here."

The wyvern circled above the sky of the royal capital as the magnificent view entered their eyes, beautiful enough to captivate one's heart.

*Roar*

As if signally their arrival, the wyvern roared before landing landing on the royal garden.

The old king and his attendents soon arrived followed by the queen Maria and her daughter Lily Front Gritonia.

"Hero what happened? why did you return so soon?", The old king asked in a hurry, his voice seemed restless as if worried that he will receive a bad news.

"The battle for the Stella Fort has ended, the Empire managed to gain a complete victory."

Grant said as he jumped down from the back of the wyvern.

Hearing his words the old king's body started trembling in excitement, but he wasn't the only one, everyone present couldn't help but clench their fist when they heart the words.

Complete victory.

Meaning the Empire's army didn't loose a single soldier.

Just then Mio also jumped down from the back of the wyvern and stood behind Grant attracting the crowds attention.

"Hero this is?...", Queen Maria asked as she looked at Mio's beautiful face.

"This is my attendent Mio, Mio this is the queen of the Gritonia Empire Ms Maria.", Grant gave simple introductions before walking towards the king and telling him why he returned in a hurry.

Superior Dragon Sandstorm.

Grant needed to meet another Superior Dragon to confirm his doubt, that was his current priority everything else was secondary.

While Grant was talking to the king, Queen Maria continued to stare at Mio, only she knew what was going through her mind.

The shy Lily on the other hand only looked at Grant from the start, his divine face seemed to make her heart beat faster and her mother's previous words only seem to continuosly resonate in her mind.

'Lily me and you're father have decided to set your marriage with the Hero, so remember you must try you're hardest to become the most perfect woman in every way okay?'

Lily's face turned red before she hid behind her mother.

On the other hand, Grant was getting annoyed by the fact that the emperor was hesitating in letting him meet the Superior Dragon.

So Grant decided to party reveal the truth to help the old man make decision.

"Meeting the Superior Dragon Sandstorm might help me increase my strength."

Hearing Grant's words the Emperor finally decided to comply.

If the Hero became stronger than so will the empire, there was no reason to hesitate at all.

Thus after Grant said his farewell to the Queen and the emperor he left being led by an attendee.

But just as Grant was about to leave.

"H-hero!"

A sudden voice made him stop in his track.

Grant turned back and what greeted him was was a young lady with Bob cut golden coloured hair, Lily.

"L-Lily Front Gritonia!", Lily raised the corners of her skirt before doing a somewhat awkward nobel greeting.

Seeing her face turn red, Grant decided to not embarass her as he placed his hand against his chest and also got in a noble's greeting pose.

"Grant Ashdown, nice to meet you my lady."

"S-same! nice ti meet you too!"

Seeing her hurried actions the emperor and the queen burst out laughing making Lily die of embarrassment.

"Master.", Mio said as she followed behind Grant.

"What is it?", Grant asked without turning back.

"I was able to sense killing intent from that old lady from before."

Hearing the word "'killing intent' made Grant stop for a moment before he turned his head half way and asked.

"Queen?"

Mio nodded in response making Grant frown.

'Why would Maria want to kill Mio? Has the queen finally lost her mind?'

Grant felt speechless but decided to put the matter at the back of his mind, after all even if the queen was to deploy the entire Empire's military she would still not be able to put even a scratch on Mio much less kill her.

Mio isn't known as the Black Spider Of Calamity for no reason, even her name has calamity in it, anyone who underestimates her is a fool.

Led by the attendent Grant and Mio traversed the White Sand Sea, the desert seem to stretch out endlessly with no sign of the superior dragon Ground in sight, with Grant and Mio's inhuman strength it felt like a walk in a park at most but the same couldn't be said about the poor attendent who appeared to be at his last breath already.

"Humans are such weak creatures.", Mio commented with disdain as she looked down at the attendent who was suppose to lead them, currently sprawled on the ground with Grant constantly throwing water balls at his face to keep him alive.

"You do know that I am also a human right?", Grant casually said as he formed another water ball and dropped it on top of the attendent's head.

"Don't lie to me master! Mio still clearly remembers the divine taste of your blood! it is simply incomparable to that of a human's!"

The more she spoke the more exited she became, he could literally see droll coming out from the corner of her mouth making Grant wonder whether his blood really tasted that good.

He almost had the urge to cut open his wrist and check it for himself.....

But just before he was about to do so the calm sea of sand in front of them trembled before a majestic voice resounded throughout the place.

"Humans your will has impressed me, even after traversing the harsh White Sand Sea for a week the three of you didn't gave up....."

The voice of the superior dragon Grount became smaller and smaller as she looked at the perfectly fine condition of Grant and Mio, hell they weren't even sweating, there was no sign of the endured 'hardships' on their bodies at all.

While Grant on the other hand.

'It really is true....'

He covered his mouth with his hand before staring at the superior dragon Grount with the eyes of a predator.

'The urge to eat her up and become complete has returned.'
