Deji watched as Anita left, but he laid no mind to it he had finally given up on his dreams and ambitions.
It just wasn't worth the pain, Deji thought to himself every time he thought he was going to regret his decision
After all there's nothing wrong with working in an office or factory collecting enough salary to survive and build a family on, Dej I had set a new goal in mind
He was going to focus on his studies in hopes of getting hired in a firm that pays well, after he was able to go independent he wouldn't bother himself with family matters anymore, he was going to become successful and make them wish they tested him better
Is what he hoped… He knew that all of his dreams could only become reality through his family's efforts. It would be writing to abandon them after paving his path, even if it was painful or they went about it the wrong way, Deji couldn't bring himself to leave his family

Anita was strolling to work even though she was almost late, it would take about ten to fifteen minutes to walk from her house to her work place, but she needed sometime to clear her head
She wasn't exactly upset with Deji, But what hit the mail on the head was that what he said about her pushing her ideals onto him was right
She had little to no talent regarding extracurricular activities and her hobbies weren't what you could call productive,
When she first saw Deji she thought they were the same quite and lonely, children who just wanted to keep to themselves and their devices
When they first meet in Junior school it was on the school playground Deji had an injured leg and was watching the kids play from afar while scribbling ont the sand with a stick
12 year old Anita felt pity for the boy who was left alone but didn't go to him she simply watched from afar while chatting with her friends. But as time went on she noticed that the boy was focused and mesmerized in the sand
"What a baby playing with sand at his age" One if the girls scoffed
"You can't blame him, the other kids probably don't want to play with him" another one said
The two of three girls with Anita were twins with long black hair and another girl with her hair tied up into two balls at the sides of her head
For now they'll be referred to as T1 and T2 and G1
With Anita the four of them gossiped and dissed all the people who seemed to be having a bad time in the playground
After recess was over and Al the students went into their various classes, Deji got up looking at the sand and lightly kicked it to erase the things he had written in the sand. He then ran towards the area if his classroom.
The curious Anita went towards the sand and when she looked at ut the only thing she could make out was that it looked like a map of the playground
While it wasn't detailed, the terrain matched it.
"Wow" she gasped, someone she thought was just idly playing in the sand was actually making a map of only she had paid attention to his face…..
The next Day at recess the same thing happened, they saw a boy sitting at the staircase writing in the sand with a stick, T1 and 2 laughed that the boy must have no friends and G1 supported the motion
But before they could finish talking, young Anita had already left the scene walking towards the staircase. While she didn't talk to the boy she merely sat behind him on the upper stairs looking at what he was doing
She would later find herself doing this for the rest of the term, And throughout their first year of Junior high the two began waiting for eachother at the staircase during recess and from one point in time they had made small talk
By the time they entered they entered thier third year of junior high that had become friends talking about random stuff and thier aspirations
Anita was loved to find someone who was sure if what he wanted to do with his life, unlike her who was contemplating her different options. From that point she said she would support him in any way that she could

Fast forward four years and her best friend, Deji, said he wants to give up on his dreams and focus on reality and later went on to basically insult her -from her perspective-
"I can't believe him" Anita frowned as she entered her workplace, greeting the cleaners at the lower floors and making her way to the staircase to reach the top floor where she worked
She opened the door and got to work cleaning and arranging….
"Look who finally showed up"
An arrogant voice called out from the staircase followed a familiar shadow, which made Anita twitch where she stood
"It's just one thing after a f**king other"
