The land Of Birds

"So ,I guess I am not dreaming. "Said Alistair , looking at the forest and the abnormal orange sky .

"Ahh ,it hurts so it's real. " said Alistair while slapping himself to see if he could feel the pain,normally people would pinch their cheeks to see if they are dreaming but Alistair was a bit too confused and decided to be violent with himself.

"Now , before finding her I have to find a way for myself. " said Alistair while, scratching his skull.He herself was in a condition where she didn't even know what to do let alone find others.

"I should have brought some food, water and ropes.How can I be so foolish that even after watching movies I followed in their footsteps. "thought she and a sigh escaped from his mouth.

He then thought that there was no time for him to think about this and looked to hus side. The only thing she could see was dense forest.

Tropical trees with long branches and bark , a damn dark weather , strange sounds of quirking but she couldn't see any animals but only saw some insects , and sounds of birds.

"So,A dark forest yet no animals to be seen." He said,his remark was sarcastic and he himself didn't understood his remark.

He then heard a very distant humming sound and some music ,it was faint but it could be heard ,he thought that he would go towards that direction. 

He started walking but after going some steps he fell down ,his legs gave up and he could feel that blood was coming out from his legs .

"Damn ,how can I walk?" Said he in a frustrating tone.

Then suddenly he saw a ray of light flashed upon his tired face and a voice emerged from that light.

"Child,just try to think about your friend and put your palm in the wounded area and think deeply ."said the voice and with a bright flash the ray disappeared .

"Wait, what do you mean ?Who are you?" Said Alistair ,but it was too late and the light had disappeared. 

Strangely enough his wound was healed .

"How ? What happened?" Said Alistair, he was too shocked to even utter a word.

Then again he thought about Rose , afterall it was his mission and those strange things that just happened and their explanation can wait ,at least now he was healed and can walk.

He rose up and started walking towards the humming noise.

"Go,you have a lot of work." Said a lady wearing a blue dress and surrounded by white colour bird-like creature but not exactly a bird.

Her face was covered with the bright sunlight ,hairs were floating with the wind.She smiled and disappeared.

Alistair walked for a very long time and soon ,found that the humming noise came closer.

He saw that many birds flying were all of different colours and the most unusual thing was that all the birds were landing and becoming humans.

Some children were playing ,they all were turning into birds and becoming human again.

"So,basically fantasy is all real not lies ,so in which land am i?" he asked himself as he peeked from a tree bark.

"Is Rose all right or Is she turned into a bird too." Alistair imagination  was running wild and nothing seems impossible to him now.

He then heard a mother telling her children something. 

She said "Go get ready, we have to go to the palace ,today is the ritual day." 

"Mom ,mom what is 'Phoenix day' " asked the younger one ,her little eyes were glittering .

"Phoenix day is celebrated because it was believed that our race was founded on this day by the first princess ." Said she.

"Mom,why princess why not queen.?"asked the little girl.

The mother picked her up and smiled but didn't answer and holding them flew towards the palace .

"Palace ,ritual ,my intuition is telling me I might found Rose there."said He ,his mind was confused

The problem was that how can he find her because he didn't have the slightest nor did he have wings.

He knew if he searched, he would be found out easily and may even lose his life.

"I don't have that much time ." Said Alistair, he ran without thinking .

He was careful as he ran and tried his best to not arouse any suspicion. 

He reached a market-like area but it was really different from Earth .Birds carrying vegetables, fruits and only some things are down yet people rather than bird humans still shopped as humans .

"I think that first i need a dress, then only

I could mingle and go to the palace." murmured he ,as he walked past the forest and market border area

His clothes were already torn from all those walking ,running, dragging and falling.

He then saw an old lady drop her fruits into the ground and ,he ran there and helped the lady pick up the fruits .

The fruits were looking like oranges but they were much bigger ,more reddish and a fresh aroma was coming out.

The lady was still a few steps away from the bazaars and it helped to not take attention from the crowd.

"Here , mam, please be careful. " He said, in a soft voice.

"Thank you! Pretty boy but you don't seem like a local." The lady said, looking at Alistair .

"Oh ! ,I was not careful, did she suspect something. " thought Alistair and his heart skipped a beat.

"Ah I…" Alistair stammered, thinking of the worst case scenario and that was a rope and gallows.he gulped .

The lady understood something and she said,"Oh,maybe you are robbed right ." Said She .

Alistair was amazed hearing this and he remembered that he saw some birds dancing and singing in the forest .

"Mam, I am new here, I live in the forest." Said he was making anything ,he could.

The lady smirked and said "I see then you might need a dress and I'd be right." 

"Ahh..yes." said Alistair, looking at her with a confused reaction. 

"Here take my I'd, I was not going anyway and yeah I have some old clothes of my son's was going to take them and dry clean. " said She.

Alistair couldn't believe his ears; it was rare for him to see such kindness, it almost felt unreal .

The lady was so gentle that Alistair almost got tears but he somehow calmed down.

"Are you sure ?" Alistair asked , his eye still wide opened In amusement.

The lady nodded and gave him the clothes and the I'd card. Shre gave him two fruits to eat on the way.

She then wished him well and went away.

Alistair, stared at the back of the lady which slowly vanished away.

"Rose ,I am coming. " thought he and, thanked the lady. 

His fist clenched and his eyes gratefully stared at the wide area where kindness still exists. He was now less scared and more determined.
