Another excuse to explain away a poorly written protagonist. This and gamers mind just completely remove the need for the author to put any effort into dialogue and character development. Literally anyone could write a fic if the just used those as their excuse for poor dialogue.

The gamers mind ability is just the authors excuse for making shallow and boring protagonists. It basicly just writing a character from a Chinese MTL but just using that ability as the excuse. The only time I’ve seen it used for a well written character is when it has limits and fails under intense emotional stress.

He truly doesn’t have the time. They seemed to barely be getting by as is. They couldn’t even affford new supplies for school. Though I do see one loophole in this analysis, that being the flying car. If he had time to make the flying car he could have instead used that to gain a better understanding of the situation inside his own home.
Soon he saw Weasleys enter the store, standing in line. He kept an eye on them and he was disgusted by Molly Weasley. She was effectively brainwashing her daughter to go after him. He also found that Ron and Percy had a fight because Ron lost his rat. The twins seemed to be entering their real rebellious stage, disliking Molly's habits and extra forceful nature. Arthur Weasley didn't know anything going inside his family, busy with ministry work but Harry still despised the man. A man needed to know how to balance family and work.
