i ended up dropping the novel because it just gets worse. The last chapters I had read were of the beach games tournament arc and it was complete garbage. i -loved- the author's concept of the worlds and many of the characters but starting with Apeps arc the author seems more interested in it being about the side characters and relationships and pointless idle conversations. The author just seems to disregard so many wonderful possibilities in order to make it seem like I'm listening to high schoolers gossiping about relationships. Yes, I'm a bit bitter. I hate seeing a good story go to waste.

it all goes to complete shit at the apep arc and keeps going downhill. Just save your time and move on. I should have about a year ago. I wanted to like this book so much but it was a huge letdown. The MC doesn't use skills they are given, character development is stale in place of just adding more overly detailed side characters we are unlikely to see again. The Author neglects facts and details given through the story and just lets things drop like the MC bloodline, abilities, job that was supposed to happen when reaching rank 3, etc... Today was the day I finally said goodbye and completely dropped the book. Thanks for the earlier parts of the story as they were fantastic. The rest... well... good luck.

She doesn't necessarily know the significance of it otherwise I'm sure she would.

yeah! Yanderes are the best! you just have to be stronger than they are. ;) Yesterday marked 23 years together. She has mellowed out over the years so the body count keeps dropping

Agreed. There just doesn't seem to be much at stake in most of these arcs. It ends up feeling like they are summoned for little more than casual conversation and no real consequences. I mean there are so many opportunities. imagine if Lily was injured causing them to be sent back and fail a contract, and Kat and Lily both go into heavy training of her abilities and fans in order to go back to take revenge after she is healed, etc...

I would love to see the MC actually make use of the abilities the Author seems to forget about. I don't understand why Kat hasn't been able to become proficient with her fans yet for that heartfelt contract. I miss chapters like those.
