Writing is actually not easy. The more knowledgeable you are the more mistakes you'll find, the more you want to correct it. On average, it takes me about 5-6 hours just to finish writing. So I don't think a college professor would be much better than that, I mean, I have a professor in college who likes to write short stories. And it takes her days to finish one. ^_^
