Low Key Start

Chris talked with Kyrie as they head towards their classroom. Kyrie was telling him about what happened yesterday and how great the view was during their PE. Chris ignored what he said last as he already knew that Kyrie was a natural-born pervert.

What caught his interest is that they seemed to have a transferee. A girl transferee to be exact and it was surprising that Kyrie was not into her, even though he was nonstop talking about how beautiful she is.

There are only two reasons for that. One, she already has a boyfriend, as even though Kyrie is a pervert and changes his girlfriend faster than the season, he has his own bottom line. Because Chris wouldn't recognize him as a cousin if he doesn't have one. The second reason is that she had already rejected Kyrie.

The two of them soon arrived at their classroom, it was not that far from the gate since it is on the second floor of the nearest building. The layout of their school is that at the front of the entrance gate would be the faculty building. Behind the faculty, the building would be a large oval field surrounded by buildings.

Their classroom is on the second floor of the faculty building, at the leftmost corner.

As soon as Chris and Kyrie entered, everyone in the room turn to look at them. Most of them just smiled at Chris and nodded their heads as a greeting before they continued talking. Chris also greeted them with a smile.

While some of them remained silent, still staring at Chris.

"Morning guys," Chris said with a smile.

A girl with a petite body, her height reaching about 150 cm, her hair was tied into a bun as she wore the school uniform for girls. Which consist of a grayish-blue skirt and shirt, underneath a very dark blue coat, together with a necktie. She looks cute in uniform as she is in other dresses, her name's Eva.

"Chris, are you okay now?" Eva asked worriedly. One would think that they're a couple if they saw her face filled with worry, but that is just how Eva is. She is also the most innocent person in the whole classroom that even the perverted Kyrie is afraid of her.

According to his words, 'She's too pure that my eyes hurt and my heart burns.'

Chris reassured her with a smile and said, "I'm really fine, don't worry." He then patted her head, a habit of his predecessor which had become his now.

"That's great then." Eva nodded as she smiled brightly.

"Look at them, looking like a couple again. I wonder why they haven't started dating yet when they are that close." Nachtan, one of Chris' friends said.

Nachtan is just a few inches taller than Eva, about 160 cm in height, and was slightly chubby. Nachtan is one of Chris's gaming buddies and was also a techno-geek. Loves photography and video filming. He has a slightly thicker eyebrow which is his most defining feature with a slightly average look.

"Who knows? Chris is just too much of a loner while Eva is too pure." A girl shrugs as she looks at the two, who look likes a couple and siblings at the same time.

Her name is Roda, and she is also one of Chris's friends. She lives near the school, so she is always the earliest to come. She has a height about the same as Nachtan but was thinner than him. She was also beautiful with her dimples as her most defining feature.

"It hurts me that you guys forgot about me the moment Chris entered. I'm also here you know!" Kyrie complained as he got ignored. Though he was only joking as he knew that they were worried about Chris.

Roda stared at Kyrie with a disinterested look and said, "Too bad for you."

Nachtan just smiled at Kyrie as he went to Chris.

"Hey Chris, long time no see." He greeted.

Chris turned to look at him and said, "Firstly, we just met last Friday. And secondly, we had a video call last Saturday."

Nachtan laughed, "Haha, don't mind the small stuff. How you are feeling now?"

"I'm fine now, thanks for worrying," Chris said.

"Well, if you say so. And you're welcome." Nachtan said with a smile.

They then all sat down, with Eva telling stories of what they did yesterday when he was absent. She also said that she caught Kyrie trying to peep at the girls while they change into their PE uniforms. They laugh when Kyrie started complaining and then talk about the lessons he had missed.

As it was only the first week of school, there was nothing much to teach as the teachers just did an orientation for the subject and what they will be discussing in the future. Though in PE, they had to do some exercise before they were dismissed.

There will be no flag ceremony today as it is only held on Monday morning. Though there will be a flag retreat every afternoon if they are still in school at 5 pm.

"Hey, I heard that our math teacher this year will be Miss Smith." Nachtan suddenly said.

"Which one?" Kyrie asked.

"I already said miss, who do you think it would be?" Nachtan stared at Kyrie with an 'are you serious look'.

Kyrie laughed awkwardly at that, "My bad. Hehe"

Chris asked, "I thought she was going to transfer to another school, what happened?"

"I also have no idea, but our seniors said that this was a decision by the principal and was the condition he had given her," Roda said.

"Condition for what?" Chris asked.

"Who knows." Roda shrugs.

"Miss Smith is so beautiful; I wonder why she's still single." Eva wondered out loud.

"That's because she's waiting for me," Kyrie said confidently.

Nachtan said, "You just don't learn your lesson huh?"

Chris also nodded as he had remembered last year, Miss Smith heard Kyrie saying something about how he will court her and then bring her home. He had even boasted that he will surely succeed as she must be lonely.

He had no idea that the person he was talking about is just behind him as was staring at him with a death glare. They can still remember how Kyrie screamed like a little girl at that time.

Hearin what Nachtan said, Kyrie also remembered what happened at that time, he can't help but scratched his head.

"I was careless at that time and didn't realize that she was already behind me. And you guys didn't inform me."

"It was your fault for bragging so loudly," Chris said to which the others nodded.

They laughed at Kyrie's speechless face as Chris looked around the classroom and saw the transfer student sitting at the front. She was also talking to Ritzel, the class president, and Juliana, the vice president.

To be honest, the transfer student was as beautiful as what Kyrie told him. Her long braided black hair matches the uniform she was wearing and her small face. She was quite well-endowed, and he noticed that some of the boys in the class were also staring at her from time to time.

Just as he was about to ask his friend her name. Their math teacher, Hillary Smith entered the classroom as it descended into silence.

Everyone immediately went back to their seats and remained quiet. Their seat arrangement for the first month was alphabetical and will be changed every month. In this way, it will make sure that students will be able to interact with their classmates more and not just in their circle of friends.

Ms. Smith stared at her class who had quite down by now before speaking.

"All of you here must have known me by now but I will still introduce myself anyway. My name's Hillary Smith, a BS in Mathematics Education graduate three years ago. I won't be expecting much from you, but I hope everyone will do their best to learn. I will not be teaching you anything today."

Everyone immediately smiled at this.

"But I will be asking everyone to answer this test paper so that I can measure your level of understanding and prepare the necessary learning materials." She then started distributing a test paper, which is no doubt something she had created herself.

Hillary Smith is known in school not just because she's a beautiful teacher but also because of her seriousness and strictness. She will not tolerate any lazy students, cheaters and will be giving tests she had personally created every time.

This ensures that students will not be able to cheat by asking their seniors and was also a great thing as it only contains questions of what she had taught them.

Everyone released a groan when they heard that they will still have to take a test, although it will not be recorded for their grades. The first impression will always last, so if their first impressions to Ms. Smith are bad, then they will expect things to be harder for them in the future.

As Chris received the test paper, he heard Ms. Smith said.

"You may start now; you only have 1 hour to finish answering."

His classmates then started taking out their calculators and began answering while Chris stared at the questions on the test paper. Not because he can't answer it but because he couldn't believe how easy it was.

It was like he was looking at an elementary student's test paper. The Proficiency System is really OP. He would be having a hard time already and be rushing to finish answering.

Chris put these thoughts behind as he smiled and began answering just like his classmates. Though he would not be perfecting this as this would only increase the difficulty of the lessons in the future or would attract unwanted attention. Just about 80% should be good.
