Additionally, I didn’t discredit the author. I simply stated that he is not qualified to be called a psychologist, meaning that there’s a higher chance for his research to possess significant flaws.

It’s popularity and understanding is misplaced as most people(99%) believe it’s how well one person can empathize with another. In fact, it’s quite the opposite as the researcher who popularized the theory mainly focused on how well a person understands themselves. So if the understanding of the concept is misguided to such a degree, then EQ is not a valid concept. And as to wether IQ is real or not is irrelevant as I didn’t even mention it.
