Chapter 1Eren Idril

"Aaaaaaargh…!"

An ear-piercing cry echoed through an untamed wilderness, away from the touches of civilization.

"Just bite my head off you dumb beast and end my damn life. Why are you chewing on my ripped arm where the least amount of meat is?"

Eren complained to his killer because he was dying slowly. The least this stupid beast could do was kill him first before making a buffet out of him.

But Eren was used to having the shittiest of lucks his entire life anyway. This didn't come as a shock to him.

Eren could have easily handled a D Rank beast. But that was in the past when he was young. He had attended a prestigious academy famous for giving stellar hunters and adventurers to the kingdom, after all.

But between his over-indulgent life and his lack of will to take risks, Eren couldn't grow further beyond a minor D Rank berserker. When he realized his past mistakes, his joints were creaking and his hair had receded further back, almost making him bald.

And now due to the curse of old age, a pathetic D-Rank beast had turned into his grim-reaper.

Eren didn't want to come to this damn place and meet his eventual slayer but he didn't have a choice.

He was injured due to his last hunt. But he was running low on cash and there was no other source of income for him other than hunting the beasts and selling them in the city's market.

The old adventurer was going to get kicked out of the city if he couldn't find money to pay the monthly city tax for next month. The situation had forced him to come here, only to die by the beast's maw.

Eren observed that the wolf-like beast was not chewing his ripped hand anymore when he was done reflecting on his past life. It was all bones now. It had moved his attention to the rest of Eren's body.

Eren only wished for a swift death at this point. That's why he had raised his head upwards, hoping the beast would target it first.

But the beast didn't like to be led by the nose it seems. It completely ignored Eren's head and attacked his prey's most vulnerable spot: his groin.

Eren was first shocked, then scared before finally feeling unrestricted wrath towards this beast. It could have enjoyed eating its prey in silence. But it had to just mess with him before finally killing him.

Eren tried his hardest to make the beast change its target but it was of no avail. It was like the beast had found some kind of elixir at the place of his groins.

And finally, the unthinkable happened. The beast had bitten off Eren's little beast. He was chewing on it and Eren was sure it was laughing at it.

Eren couldn't control the pain. He just took an old gem necklace he was wearing at the time and bit on it to control the pain.

Eren had bought that necklace on a whim while he was drunk, from a pawn shop. Part of the reason he ran out of money was this uncalled-for purchase.

When he realized his mistake after getting sobered up, Eren had gone to the pawnshop to return the necklace. But unsurprisingly, the shop wouldn't buy back the item they had already sold. It was obvious they had succeeded in making a fool out of Eren that day.

Eren could only start wearing the seemingly-useless necklace. And now the same necklace was being used as a silencer and pain reliever by its wearer.

Eren's mouth was now filled with the taste of iron. The area around it had been painted red by Eren's blood. And he could feel his consciousness fading, which he welcomed with opening the only remaining arm.

The almost-dead adventurer cursed at the beast in his head. With his drowsy and dying thoughts, he was talking about revenge on the beast and its kind if he survives this ordeal. If he is given a second chance, he'll kill every beast of its kind by first targeting their groins, busting their cojones before chopping their things into pieces.

Eren started indulging in a lot of fantasies, thinking he would make sure to fulfil them provided he somehow 'makes it back'. He wanted to complete his chain of thought, stating 'if he makes it back to the city' but he was interrupted by the beast's next set of actions.

The beast had finally taken notice of the shiny thing its prey was biting on. Its primal instincts told the beast to have it. Therefore, it aimed to snatch the necklace from Eren's mouth. But Eren somehow understood the beast's mindset.

As a final form of revenge, Eren took off his necklace and gulped it down his throat. Then he laughed at the beast-like he had finally achieved something to be proud of.

The beast didn't like Eren's actions. It growled at him before jumping on him at full force. Eren knew his end had come, but he had gotten fearless by now.

Eren just moved his hands and targeted the beast's eyes with the dagger in his remaining hand. He had stored that dagger inside his boots and taken it out a while ago.

The dagger wasn't something special. Just a simple weapon used for skinning the beasts after the hunters killed them. Therefore Eren wasn't expecting a one-hit kill with it. He just wanted the beast to suffer the consequences of killing him.

The beast had finally targeted Eren's unprotected neck. But the moment it had bit Eren, Eren's dagger had pierced the beast's eyes, drove through it, past the skull, and lodged itself inside the brain matter.

Eren's last-ditch effort had paid off. The one-hit-kill he wasn't expecting had been added to his list of achievements.

The beast died immediately, leaving Eren to die slowly and excruciatingly. Now Eren had to experience the beast's dead body weighing on him with his dying breaths.

Eren cursed at the beast even more. Then he just closed his eyes and indulged in his fantasies about what he would do if he could survive this death trap.

Eren had died. He died as an old, alone man who had no friends and the money required to make friends. He died so pathetically that he couldn't even save his di*k from being chewed on by the same beast that had killed him.

But at least Eren had taken revenge for his Lil bro. He had also succeeded in not letting the beast have its way with the necklace he had been wearing and owning so begrudgingly.

Eren had gulped down the necklace and all the content stored within it. That included the big gem that served as the centre of attraction for that jewellery.

What Eren didn't know was that there'd be no necklace to be found inside his corpse anymore, even if someone comes looking for it. It had vanished into thin air after Eren gulped it down.

But all that couldn't change the fact that Eren had died here. It was a tragic end. Although Eren was overindulgent, he had not harmed anybody unnecessarily.

The now-di*kless dead guy had always kept things to himself. But troubles would just come to find him at his doorstep. Therefore, before he died, Eren had decided to change that side about him the most. if and when he survives this ordeal.

With thoughts of regrets and reveries running through his head, the final chapter on Eren Idril's life was concluded with his last breath.

Or so he thought!

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a mix of annoyance and disappointment. "You can't outsmart Scrients! They're the most intelligent beings across the two realms." "You're right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a heavy sigh. "I made a mistake. I was too arrogant to think that a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "Heik! Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I'm not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait, you can't. I killed them all.” ______ My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid, pointless scuffle, and in the middle of it, I tripped and hit my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in - the memories of another life, of a different world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First, I was in a game I used to play in my past life. Second, I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool and mysterious kind, either. No, my destiny was to be manipulated and die a dog's death! I was the worst type of cliché: an ungrateful, privileged, insufferable young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. The kind everyone hates — a snobby brat from a powerful noble family who thinks he owns the world just because he was born with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth. You know the type. The one the hero beats to a pulp to prove his worth. Yeah, I was that guy. And the hero? The hero was the kid I’d been bullying all this time. The same one I got into a fight with. He was the supposed savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And at the end of it all, the final antagonist of the game, the undefeatable boss… the Spirit King, was waiting. But could I even make it to the end? Could I conquer a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that was now my reality! “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could, but I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, twisting the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains before they could become threats - nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected? Who cares! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me—my survival, my life, my choices. “I will live this life with no regrets.” …But as I soon discovered, fate was not easily changed. And the price of altering one's destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR

Hi, readers. Thank you for reading or at least checking out Vile Evil Hides Under Veil. It's about the main lead who died with a lot of regrets and decides not to have them when he is given a second chance. It's a typical fantasy work with a typical fantasy setting but with an atypical level of world details usually not found in other novels. Although there will be a larger plot at play in the background, it will be filled with fun moments. It'll be a pun-riddled, fun-filled, troupe-busting, and fantasy-fulfilling ride meant for mature audiences. A few FAQs: 1) System? No 2) Relation to Anime Eren? Almost none. 3) Relations with Female Leads? Intimate with multiple women without marrying them. 4) OP MC? No 5) Edgelord MC? No 6) Evil MC? Duh! 7) Cliched time travel theme? Yes 8) Cliched plot? No 9) Young Master Troupes? Almost none 10) Weak to strong progression? Yes 11) $mut novel? Not really. Sparsely included as a way to highlight Eren’s journey on the path of seven sins. 12) Info-dumps? Optimally placed and Incorporated into chars' dialogues at the start and mostly as a third person POV later on. Dialogues become more concise after chapter 125. 13) Slow burn? Kinda yeah. But not really if you like the storyline to make sense with in-depth details. 14) Daily schedule? 2 chapters/day + Bonus release 15) Is this novel worth reading? Yes 16) Replies in memes? Memes are justice! You can open up the novel’s auxiliary volume and read the Author's Review for more in-depth details. It is recommended that you do that. But can be skipped if you have your queries answered in the FAQs above. Read the FAQs and author review in the auxiliary volume before raising a query That's it. Happy reading! ;)

I always give detailed reviews. But for this novel, I wanted to make an exception. It is that good, and has a huge potential. Now, I'll talk about it one pointer at a time. nothing to complain when it comes to writing quality. i know that grammatical errors and glaring typos can affect a reader's experience. this didn't happen with me for this novel. story development is solid and firm. but it hasn't progressed much. as I'm writing this review, the novel is 40 chapters deep. the mmc still hasn't left what we call the newbie zone. I see that the writer is talking about starting a new arc. hope that changes this thing. we want the mc to explore the world some more. the character design is just like story dev. it is nuanced and in depth. and so far, every character has been given a particular shade. but since mc hasn't left the beginners area, there aren't many characters to talk about. till now I can only remember the names of Eren, Nina, Dom, and Lin. it's not a bad thing per se. but we already know so much about these characters now. it's about time the story introduces some more chars. updating so far has been stellar. i see the release rate of 23 chapters/week as I'm writing the novel. world background is intriguing. i like that the author has kept things straightforward. we still don't know the exact power structure as of now. but i for one am not in a hurry. wishing the author all the best and may this review help you and your novel grow further [img=update][img=coins][img=fp][img=exp][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend][img=recommend]

While I can go on about alot in this novel as all aspects of this novel are above average. The world design is your classic fantasy adventure type it's solid but not expectinal and will act as a good foundation to the truely best part about this novel. The plot so far is a perfect mix of short term, medium term and long term plot lines. There's lines I can see coming to a close in 20 chapters while there's an over arcing plot line that's far into the future while right now it's hidden in mystery parts do get exposed within short term plot lines that other novels would treat as a separate plot line with no interaction. While I won't comment on each arc due to spoliers they are well thought out and executed. This is exactly what you want to see from a long term perspective this novel will happily go to 1000 chapters plus. The character design and development is the standout feature in the first 200 chapters some of the best I've seen it would be able to turn a novel that is weak in other areas into a good novel. The MC his personality is some of the finest I've seen to the level I assume its been all pre planned before the novel was even started. The MC isn't OP his major advantage is his experience and all the other reborn advantages of which the MC uses them all to his advantage. But that also comes with flaws the MC isn't reborn and is somehow naive again. He is mentally scared which leads to problems where he is over zealous with his pre rebirth enemy's to the level where he can cause future problems to himself not because he's dumb or this is just the way it is. It's because his past experiences and the imprint it's left on him he can't control his response it's carthic to him. This novel is worth a read based on the MC alone but the other areas are just as strong.

Review after 80 chapters into the storyline! The novel has outperformed in most segments so far. It also has a few shortcomings. I'm assuming that the new readers must have seen the book tags, so I'll not talk about mc's antiheroism, his views and all that. I'll mention everything that is apart from antiheroism below so that potential readers can decide better wether they want to invest time in this work or not. Shortcomings 1) Slow burn: the storyline takes it's time to unfold. I don't feel it to be slow paced but just detail oriented. Others might not feel the same tho. 2) Limited fight scenes- again not an issue for me but most readers would prefer the novel to change this aspect about itself the most. but author has hinted about something called ranking war, which will appear in the upcoming chapters. Hopefully, the figh scene seeking audience can be pacified whenever that plot starts. 3) lack of culture plot- this is a problem for me as well. i don't like plots without any stories behind them. but the novel has left it's culture plot fans high and dry after chapter 53. 4) TMI- too much information is observed to being given seldomly in this novel. building a lore is fine. but sometimes the information needs to be introduced at the right time for it to make sense and have maximum impact. thankfully, i only observed two three such instances. so till now it's no biggie. hope author san takes heed from this comment. it'll definitely benefit him as well as us the readers. 5) comic relief has dropped down- volume one had a lot of comic relief moments that are lacking in the second volume. Now the plus points 1) writing quality- top-notch from my perspective. English is not my first language, so I might glide over a few obvious grammatical errors. But if there are errors, I can't spot most of them. There are sporadic cases of name swap maybe. But it should be counted as an ATD error, not a writing quality one. Solid 5/5 2) Story dev- author has placed heavy importance on the story development of the novel. He has made an intricate world with it's own set of laws and culture, which is not all that different from what we can relate to. I've gone through the entire ranking system and it's in depth and intriguing. But maybe author san needs to dial down on this aspect to focus on making the plot a bit fast paced for it's current and upcoming audience. 4/5 3) Character Design- The characters have enough info about them to make us readers imagine them into almost tangible personalities in our heads. author had only focused on the mc in the first volume, but thankfully he has started exploring the niche characteristics of other side characters. The interactions among them are driven by logic and rationality. They don't sound dummy and synthetic like most wuxia novels. Plus the in-novel characters don't go out of characters, ever. So that's a relief one seldom finds in newly published works. All in: 5/5 4) Updating stability: the novel is barely a month old and it has 80+ chapters as of now. And this is after the author declared that he has dropped his speed to focus on making the story plothole proof in one of his notes. So obviously its a 5/5 from me. 5) World background- most of the shortcomings I've enlisted above are from this segment. But their instances are rare and ignorable. Plus, I've read the entire ranking/cultivation chart of the novel. Least to say, it is intriguing. 4/5 In short, Vile Evil has all the qualities in it to break it big. It's a treat for the readers of antihero works. Hope the novel goes pro so that readers can expect a consistent release from the author. I think I'm forgetting something else to add, but whatever! Wishing all the best to the author.
