Very good questions. They will be answered as the story progresses and Jarte himself discovers more of how the kingdom works. So far, his knowledge of the kingdom only comes from textbooks and nonfiction/historical fiction books he has read out of curiosity. But now he's experiencing them first-hand and discovering more about both realms. So, I will touch upon the subjects you have mentioned as Jarte learns what it means to be a king of both realms.
