It's trauma, it seems annoying from our and MC perspective I agree but it makes sense. After years of abuse and fear having it change out of the blue is suspicious and once it is proven not a trick then comes the worry it will all disappear as suddenly and unexplained as it appeared. I get petty fights at home may not seem as big and can take up more time then they're worth but when you have a recurring problem you're told about that should be your top priority especially as the kids are still young and teachable. It might not be solved easily but given his position in the house he could certainly lay down the law and have a trusted confidant watch over them... what is the money business for if not your family so therefore they should be top priority. You can always make time... sacrifice something. As a child of an absent parent (due to work) I get how it can hurt. I saw cousins and friends who's parents were just as busy and still made time for them. I know it's possible. Luckily my other family members got along and my other parent solved disagreements.

It's some sort of odd translation, it seems common in Chinese novels...The dental clinic is where they sell properties (houses/shops) and slaves, not sure if they sell both or if it is just the same mistranslation for both.

For example the in depth teaching, traveling with and overall interactions with disciples has diminished to updates and asides and the 'young masters' thing as well as the disciples pasts and families and perspectives seem to be plentiful at the start of each new discipline but then they're gone ... I love our mc and his chapters and the pacing and progress are fabulous, just miss the interactions.

I agree ... same with the disciples and their roles...not mad about it and still really enjoy the story it's just shifted in feel.
