The Society for Creative Anachronisms, aka the SCA. It's a world-wide roleplay group, taking the better parts of medieval society and sculpting it to their own purposes. A lot of famous people are in it. For instance, Sean Connery (RiP) was in the SCA.
So far so good, but oi! I'm longing for chapter 5! The bad: I need more updates. I can stop whenever I want, you're addicted! The word choice is poor in places, like to the point where I've noticed, but the story is so enthralling that it makes up for it. The meh: I need more, come on mei, please? D-don't make me beg. The good: I love the characters and the story! I love how it all comes alive in my head without me needing to go insane trying. Honestly, if you give me more... and maybe let me suggest some edits... s-say, c-can I get a new chapter?
To the review! The good: I like the overall story. The hints of things past and things to come, the troubled heroine, her interactions with various characters, these all help make the world come alive for me. It's hard not giving away anything of the story itself, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. The bad: Word choice is a bit strange. As an example, I'm going to re-write your first paragraph here the way I'd have written it. She wiped at drool mindlessly with her tiny palm. It had been such a good rest; this was beyond doubt. After such a good night's sleep, well, someone was in a good mood. It had been a perfect, complete night of rest! Compared to the previous night, she was quite satisfied. It's just little things here and there, but as long as 'the bad' looks it really isn't enough to call it 'bad'. Overall: The only thing that I could find to critique was word choice, as it sounds strange to me. Updates are happening at a steady pace. The story has developed in explosively good ways, over all grammar is good, the story is readable. I enjoy the character designs and how they interact like real people would in that situation. Finally, I'm enjoying the world you've shared with us. Almost perfect marks, I look forward to reading more!
Your word choice is odd in places, all the same I'm enjoying this so far.
Thank you so much, that means the world to me! <3
Totally not because of EXP reasons, but OI! 'The Author' has a name, ya know? It's Sensei. That's funny, because only weebs would call themselves that. It's like calling yourself 'san', it's unheard of except for like... Well, moving on.
Gross, was I sleeping... I'll fix this later, too.
Reminder to myself to fix this later.
Quality is top notch. Seriously, I had to really nitpick to find ANYTHING off. I wish updates were faster, but at least they're consistently delivered. Story so far is moving along nicely. I like that the character's are being fleshed out as we go, not some info dump. The background we've seen so far is pretty top notch as well, so let's get to it! The bad: There's the obvious trope in the beginning with the all girl fighting force you see in Japanese novels these days. The meh: I didn't have anything to meh about. The good: It might be a trope there, but it was delivered in a unique way that I found highly interesting. For that reason, as well as my vested interest in this story, I give this top marks with no reservations. I've added this to my collections. The question is, why haven't YOU?
What he said, but since you speak Japanese I think you'd rather hear it like this: ありがとうねこさん!
