im really getting frustrated that matthew always seems that weak. every achievement is only made with the support of other people that are stronger than him and any relevant character is able to just bully him. i honestly feel like stop reading if he meets sif againe and is still useless and helpless...

is it possible to give a small spoiler if he ever developes feelings againe and if there will be a somewhat wholesome relationship at some point in the future?

am i the only one that slowly gets frustrated about matthew being that weak?... i mean he makes some progress in the story but whenever hes next to one of his competent friends or allys he always seems utterly useless, be it combat strength or talent.

honestly its getting kinda annoying that eli is that unaware of his own strength compared to others. every single time there is a problem his first thought is to run away.

im somewhat curious if he has lost potential permanently by giving away some centimeters of his astral cores to save wen mingna.

man i honestly love elbas. probably my favorite character of the novel.

i think the main problem i have with him atm is that we dont see him being limited in any way and that gives me a bad taste of plot armor. its find if hes very strong, its fine if he didnt work for his abilitys in a normal way and its fine that he has the "world" as a backing just like sword saint has "the way of the sword" as a backing. the problem is as far as we know he can literally do everything he wants with it. even more so he can beat enemys without even partaking in it because "the world" fights for him on autopilot. i mean sword saint at the very least uses his inherited knowledge of the sword himself. he simply should not be able to fill every role because that makes specialised characters like elbas obsolete. well i just hope eve will add some limitations for divine demon in the future.

yeah theyre all insanely strong but divine demon is different imo. everyone else has his own field of expertise. they worked for it and built theire abilitys in that field and they have theire limits. divine demon on the other hand just lets the world fight his fights. we dont even now what exactly is helping him. at this point its basically a law of plot armor. he can do everything, always and that not because he worked towards that goal but just because he wants it.

i feel like he has a little bit too much plot armor built into his character at this point.
