Seeing the two men rushing towards him a savage glint passed through his eyes as he grinned and rushed straight towards them. Both of them swung their weapons at the boy but the boy dodged the sickle rushing towards the left grabbing the hoes handle with his right hand. Using his free hand he naturally scratched the man on the face almost tearing apart his nose.
The man screamed and fell backwards trying to get away but the boy ignored him: his fate was sealed.
As for the man with the sickle he was shaking and muttering while barely holding onto his sickle.
The boy rushed towards him easily infecting him. He looked up and saw the fourteen men who were still left.
The girl on the balcony stood there staring in a daze. Seeing the bloody scenes she had retched a few times already. Her eyes were blurry and hazy but she still chose to look.
As the farmers looked at the boy panic and fear were the two dominant expressions on their face. Just as they were about to run a man in his fifties stood out. His beard at least two feet long.
"You imbeciles!"
"How can you be scared of this devil!?"
"It's a test from God"
"Kill it and prove your loyalty!!"
"Allahu Akbar"
As he said this he grabbed his hoe and rushed towards the boy. The boy showed fear for the first time since the girl had met him. She was disbelieving of it. How could someone so desperate to survive show fear in front of an old man barely living?
She got her answer soon enough.
As the old man rushed up it seemed as if the boy was frozen in fear. The old man struck pathetically but still managed to stab the boy. The boy's eyes widened. The red and green forming a sharp contrast.
As the other villagers saw this they were immediately riled up:
"If this old man can do it then why can't we!?"
"We're God's people!"
"We're unkillable!!"
"Fuck this! I'm willing to die for my country anytime!!!"
As the farmers said this they rushed up and started to stab, punch and beat the boy brutally. The boy tried to resist but could barely scratch them…
He would barely sink in his teeth before he was hit on his head. Today, the boy got a valuable lesson on quantity over quality.
The regeneration skill was also operating on full scale.
One of the farmers swung his hoe. The boy tried to block with his arm but another farmer swung his sickle from the opposite direction tearing off a chunk of flesh from his neck.
"AHHH-!" The boy screamed but another farmer swung a metal rod from behind him hitting his head. Who knows when he got behind him?
The boy stumbled forward somehow grabbing one of the farmers arm. He barely scratched him before he was knocked away.
The girl clenched her fist and teeth barely preventing the tears from streaming down.
She tried to scream:
"STOP!STOP!STOP!"
"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!?"
"HE'S A LIVING BEING AS WELL!!"
"PEACE AND MERCY THAT'S WHAT MUHAMMAD HAS TAUGHT US!!!"
She screamed and screamed until her throat turned dry and hoarse but all she got in return was curses and all sorts of profanity hurled at her until she was left helpless.
Almost half an hour later the farmers finished with their task. The boy was collapsed on the ground face down. His hands were covered in various scars but the injuries were even more numerous. In fact, his entire body was covered in various injuries. His right arm had almost been ripped off. It was barely hanging on with a piece of bone which was almost completely broken.
As the farmers backed off panting and swearing one of them suddenly spitted out black blood and collapsing. He was grabbing his left arm which had a small scratch. It could be easily ignored.
The rest of the farmers backed off fearfully from that man. Suddenly another one of them spitted out dark blood, collapsing.
"What's happening!?"
"What is this!?"
"Is it a plague!?"
"No! It's a curse!"
"The devil's curse!"
"No!No way this can't happen!"
"Maybe we need to hunt more demons like that boy and offer them to God!!"
"That girl on the balcony!!!"
"Let's start with her!"
As they were having their nonsensical conversation another three of their comrades had collapsed. Faint scratches and bite marks were visible on their skin.
As they were walking towards the house the girl panicked. She obviously understood what they were saying and what was going to follow.
She turned back and rushed towards the stairs but the fire had already spread till there.
She was panicking and grabbed her head going back to the balcony thinking:
'What do I do!?'
'What do I do!?'
'If only he was here!'
'He would know what to do!!'
'Why did those monsters have to kill him!!!'
As she looked out the window she saw that the farmers had stopped. It was because another four of their comrades had dropped down, convulsing.
They had lost a total of nine out of seventeen leaving eight.
At this moment the girl saw a sight that cause her to cry out in joy. The boy slowly stood up. His right arm limping beside him in a black shirt covered in mud and dirt which was barely on his body. He opened those crimson and green eyes of his. A dangerous glint flashing in his gaze…
