"Alright, girl, stop making trouble," the Grand Sorcerer's deep voice rang out, stopping the girl. His gaze swept over Yin Zhu, indifferent and emotionless. It lingered briefly and, upon sensing Yin Zhu's graceful demeanor, he couldn't help but show a hint of surprise, particularly with Yin Zhu's clear eyes, which made a deep impression on him.
The girl glared fiercely at Yin Zhu. "Don't let me see you again, or you'll be sorry."
"My mother said I've been good-looking since I was little. I don't need to be any more good-looking," Yin Zhu replied naturally. To him, it was just a statement of fact, but to everyone else, it came off as sarcasm. In an instant, the mercenaries around them burst into laughter. Not many dared to offend an S-rank mercenary team. In the eyes of many, only Yin Zhu, with his noble and elegant demeanor, definitely seemed like a young noble lord.
The girl turned back to glare at Yin Zhu once more, as if to memorize his figure, huffed angrily, and strode away.
Registering Iron Briar Thorn as a D-rank went very smoothly, perhaps due to Yin Zhu's recent altercation with the girl. Ge'en finally achieved his wish of becoming the leader of a mid-tier mercenary team. In gratitude for Yin Zhu's help, not only did he give Yin Zhu the twenty Gold Coins initially promised, but he also personally escorted him to the front of the Milan Magic Martial Academy.
"Yin Zhu, we're heading back. The cost of living in Milan is too high; we can't stay here. You must be careful on your own. When we get another mission to Milan, I will definitely come to see you. Also, you're too naive and kind. No matter what you encounter in the future, always try to protect yourself," Ge'en advised Yin Zhu like an elder. The innocence on Yin Zhu was something he hadn't encountered in many, many years.
Yin Zhu's eyes reddened slightly as he nodded and said, "Uncle, take care on your journey. If it weren't for your help, I wouldn't have known what to do."
Ge'en laughed heartily. "There will be other chances to meet. I have to go, and you should hurry and report to the Milan Magic Martial Academy. Oh, and that Miss Anya is definitely not an ordinary person. Even the Dragon Knights have to be polite to her. If anything happens to you, remember to ask her for help. I think she took a liking to you and won't refuse."
Yin Zhu watched as Ge'en's figure disappeared before turning to face his destination.
The Milan Magic Martial Academy was adjacent to the eastern gate of Milan City. Only by truly coming here can one understand why the highest academy of all human nations on the continent is situated on the outskirts of Milan City, rather than within the city itself. The reason is that its grounds are simply too vast. The academy's tall perimeter walls merged with the city walls of Milan, stretching almost as far as the eye can see.
Yin Zhu had heard from Anya on the way to Milan that the Milan Magic Martial Academy, also known as the Milan Royal Academy, commands an exceedingly high status within the Milan Empire. As the continent's number one academy, it has cultivated numerous talents. All young people feel proud to be able to study at the Milan Academy. The Emperor of the Milan Empire is the honorary principal of this academy. Apart from the Milan Royal Clan, the only way for anyone to attend the academy is to pass the tests. It has been said that the Milan Magic Martial Academy is second only to Faran as a stronghold of the powerful on the Ryuzakinus Continent. The city's eastern gate is the only one that doesn't need to be manned by troops, as the students alone form a mighty defensive force.
The academy's grand main gate was twenty meters high and nearly fifty meters wide. The gold-inlaid plaque bore the emblem of the Milan Empire. Even standing at the entrance, one could feel an ancient aura wash over them.
Passing through the gate, a broad avenue wide enough for dozens of horsemen to ride abreast extended straight ahead. Mammoth trees lined the road, their expansive canopies shading the sky, their lush branches and leaves bearing witness to the longstanding existence of the Milan Magic Martial Academy.
The abundance of vegetation made the academy's air very comfortable. Yin Zhu felt as if he had returned to the blue sky and sea. Taking a deep breath, this was the first time since he had left home that he felt such comfort in his surroundings.

There were many students coming and going, and Yin Zhu noticed that all these students were wearing a uniform of red and white, with different crests on the left side of the chest indicating their various fields of study. After a brief observation, Yin Zhu found that those branded with a magic hexagram pattern were mages, while those with the pattern of a longsword and shield were warriors, and the archers had a delicate longbow pattern, and so on. Next to these patterns, there were varying numbers of small red and white stripes, the meaning of which he didn't know.
Originally, Yin Zhu had planned to ask for directions to the registration area after entering the campus, but as soon as he set foot inside, he realized that wasn't necessary. There were clear signs along the avenue directing him to the registration area. He didn't realize that he had just arrived on the last day of enrollment at Milan Magic Martial Academy. If he had followed Qin Shang's arrangement to become a teacher, it would've been straightforward, but now, without the recommendation letter, becoming a student was not so simple.
Following the marked signs, Yin Zhu quickly found the registration area. A row of exquisite houses stood deserted, each covering at least several hundred square meters. In front of each house, different disciplines were listed. The disciplines were broadly divided into two categories: magic and martial skills, with many subcategories. At the door of the last house, Yin Zhu saw the words "Divine Music Master".
Inside the spacious Divine Music Master registration area, there was only one person, who was taking a nap on the desk. From her long, spread-out hair, it was apparent that she was a woman.
"Hello," Yin Zhu tentatively called out.
"Huh?" The woman lifted her head from the desk with a dazed expression. A delicate and pretty face appeared before Yin Zhu. She looked to be in her mid-twenties, with blue hair that cascaded over her shoulders, somewhat disheveled from her nap. Since she was sitting down, her figure wasn't fully visible, but she was definitely a beauty. As Yin Zhu had woken her from her sleep, she exuded an aura of lazy elegance.
"Hello, I'm here to register."
"Oh, you're here to register? Fill out this form, please. The registration fee is ten gold coins. If you don't pass the entrance exam, the fee is nonrefundable," she said, while casually slapping a form in front of Yin Zhu and tossing a goose feather pen on top of the registration form.
"Thank you, teacher," Yin Zhu responded, noticing the form only required five simple items to be filled in: name, gender, age, cultivation level, and place of birth.
"Ah!" Just as Yin Zhu was about to start filling it in, the female teacher screamed suddenly, standing up abruptly with her dark green eyes fixed on Yin Zhu in astonishment.
Startled by her scream, Yin Zhu instinctively stepped back a few paces, almost tripping over a chair beside him. "What's wrong?" he asked.
"Are you sure you haven't gone to the wrong registration room?" the teacher murmured in wonder.
Yin Zhu turned and glanced at the Divine Music Master sign at the door, then nodded and said, "No, this is the right place. This is the registration area for the Divine Music Masters."
The female teacher let out an exaggerated gasp of astonishment, "My goodness! Is this what they call 'a splash of green in the midst of a sea of flowers'? Our Divine Music Department is finally going to have a male student. It wasn't easy! Hurry up and fill out the form and pay the registration fee. The entrance examination for the Divine Music Department must have already started, but there's still time to make it."
