Prior to Null using her maximum technique, she was just hit by another "red" from Gojo. She was lying back first on a pile of rubble from destroyed buildings. Blood was pouring down the right side of her body. Null lifted her hand forward before turning her palm to see it covered in blood. She stared at her bloody palm as hundreds of thoughts ran through her head...
Looks like I'm not going to leave alive. I was trained since I was born to kill Gojo, yet I failed my mission and doomed my little brother to suffer the same fate as me. How shameful is that? I push off a piece of debris behind me and stand back up.
My only purpose in life is to kill Gojo. Yet each time I battle him, the gap between us is only growing stronger. Guessing from the five pillars that spouted out into the sky, my brother is battling someone right now. I'm guessing they're strong if they can keep up with him. Wish I could teach you some more things, Brat. But this is the end of the road.
I know I was ordered by Naobito to kill him. If I was about to die, but if my brother does truly care for me. He will be enraged by my death, and it'll only reinforce his will to kill Gojo. And if he does manage to kill Gojo, I guess I sorta of finally served my life's purpose.
Or I can stop lying to myself, and admit I really don't want to kill my little brother. I sigh to myself while shaking my head before I hear footsteps approaching me. I look forward and stare at Gojo walking with his hands in his pocket with the same old cocky look on his face.
He stares at me before he speaks.
" What's wrong? Looks like a lot is on your mind. But there's no need to think, you will reveal who you truly are when you're about to die. "
He's clearly mocking me. But it's best if I ignore him. There's no point in getting mad. Besides I can't die like a complete loser can I? I start to chuckle to myself while I ball my fists up...
Many years ago, inside a dark forest only illuminated by a bright white full moon, two figures could be seen sitting on the first step of a staircase that led into a dungeon. Null was sitting next to Mute when he was a toddler. Mute had just turned three, and to celebrate. Null decided to let Mute see the moon for the first time.
Mute was staring up at the moon in awe before he reached up trying to grab it. Null watched Mute with a somber look on her face before she sighed and spoke.
" You know, what the moon represents to us, brat... "
Mute looked over at his sister with a confused face. He clearly couldn't understand what Null was saying but, whether it was because Null needed someone to vent to or someone to share her pain, she kept speaking.
" The moon represents freedom to us. It's so clear to us, yet so far out of reach. Our goal is killing Gojo and yet it's near impossible. "
Null reaches up into the sky pointing her thumb, index, and middle finger at the moon before reaching into the sky, trying to grab the moon. Null of course fails to grab the moon before dropping her arm to her waist. Null looks at the moon with a depressed look until she hears playful laughter. She glances down and stares at Mute laughing.
Null stares at her laughing brother. Before a grin appears on her face. And she stares into the dark staircase below them. She ponders before speaking.
" Hey, I know you're not going to remember any of this. But know, everything I'm going to do is for your benefit. But don't worry, I'm going to try to fight Gojo one more time and if I fail, the rest is left to you. "
Null stared at her brother's confused face before she busted out in laughter...
Back to the present. Gojo could be seen staring at Null with a confused look on his face. His six eyes saw something odd. Null's cursed energy was leaking off her body wildly. Null's body was beginning to change.
Throughout the years, Null slowly lost her mind. Whether it was from the countless murders she committed or it was because she was forced to torture her younger brother. But, in the end, it doesn't matter, because just like Gojo said,
"You will reveal who you truly are when you're about to die."
At death's door, Null's true colors were finally revealed. Null's maximum technique was different from others. Instead of just maxing out one's cursed technique output, Null's maximum technique transforms her body. In the process, killing her. A gust of wind blows Null's hair wildly as her skin turns pure white and small bumps cover her body.
Gojo stared at the transforming Null confused. Null's cursed energy was growing rapidly. Null's maximum technique gives her a set of instructions that she must follow after the transformation. She must finish these instructions before she can finally rest.
The thing Null was transforming into is a vengeful spirit...
