Lightning crackled through the air, hurtling towards Kenjaku. The bolt collided with the metal crate, causing Kenjaku to leap and land right in front of Maki and the woman. Kenjaku's robe billowed in the wind as he gazed up at the figure responsible for the lightning. A smirk played on his lips before he spoke.
"Long time no see, Kashimo."
Kashimo remained silent, gripping his staff tightly as he headed towards Maki. She glanced at Kashimo before twirling her sword and lunging at him. The wounds on Maki's body were inflicted by Kashimo, the two were engaged in a heated battle for countless minutes, before arriving here.
Maki's sword clashed with Kashimo's staff, creating a small shockwave that pushed Kashimo back. Kashimo gritted his teeth overwhelmed, until he shifted his staff, deflecting Maki's blade, sending it crashing into the ground. Right when Maki pulled back her sword, Kashimo extended his hand and unleashed a bolt of lightning directly at Maki's face.
Maki staggered, blood trickling from her mouth as smoke rose from her singed face. Gritting her teeth, she charged at Kashimo, swinging her blade once more. The two clashed weapons, dancing around each other, using the cargo ship, like a stage.
Kenjaku watched the fight with a grin on his face, he crossed his arms, until Uraume landed behind him, causing him to look back. " Are we going to join the battle? " Asked Uraume, Kenjaku shook his head, " No need, the two are focused on battling each other, Kashimo didn't even respond to me. I'm guessing the bolt that collided with the crate was on accident. "
What Kenjaku said was completely true, Kashimo and Maki were completely focused on battling each other. Till the point, that they didn't even notice that Kenjaku and Uraume, were standing there. As Kenjaku and Uraume stood there motionlessly, the woman sorcerer watching in awe quickly realized that this was her only chance to escape and quickly started to walk away from the battle.
Approaching the ship's edge, she took several steps, with each step, more hope filled her heart. She was mere inches away from the edge, until abruptly, a sharp pain rippled through her chest and blood poured out of her mouth. She could only glance down, before she collapsed to the ground, with a massive hole in her chest.
Her body flipped over the ship's edge, plunging into the water. Kenjaku could only snicker as he dropped his hand that was pointing at the woman. Kenjaku stared at the ship's edge, which was stained with blood before he looked back over towards Maki, whose body was indented into a crate.
She slowly crawled out of the crater, stumbling forward, gasping for air. Kashimo seeing Maki's struggle, shot a vibrant bolt of lightning at Maki, forcing her to roll to the side narrowly avoiding the attack. Maki pushed off the ground flipping into the air. She contorted her body throwing a kick that slammed into Kashimo's chin, causing him to fly back before his body slammed into the ship's edge.
Kashimo let out a scoff, before he pushed off the edge, gingerly standing up. It was clear, to both Maki and Kashimo that their battle wasn't going to end anytime soon. The two started to walk towards each other until a voice yelled out.
" Do you know who the funniest comedian in the world, is? " This sudden voice, surprised everyone causing them to look around confused, but they couldn't find the voice. Even Kenjaku was caught off guard, he glanced to his right, and that's when, his eyes caught something, a figure standing on another ship, hundreds of feet away.
This figure was holding onto a red microphone, Kenjaku tilted his head confused, before the figure yelled out again. " The funniest comedian is me! Fumihiko Takaba! " As soon as, he said this, Takaba's body vanished and reappeared between Maki and Kashimo, surprising everyone. Takaba looked around at their surprised faces until he spoke once more. " I thought it would be quite funny for me to reappear between y'all don't you agree? "
" No. Not really. " Said Maki, who tightly held onto her blade while blood leaked down her face, hearing this response, an annoyed look appeared on Takaba's face. " Really? Then how about I show all of you, a fun time?! " Yelled Takaba, as the cargo ship, everyone was standing on, vanished and was replaced by a traditional Japanese-styled academy cafeteria...
