I wrapped my hands around her to lift her up from my closet. And moved slowly to my bed, trying to make sure not to wake her up.
“She must be really tired…,” I thought, laying her slowly on my bed and putting the blanket over her.
She moaned before opening her eyes slowly.
“Did I wake you up?” I said, gazing at her.
“I’m sorry…, I just,” she said, sitting up in the bed.
“Media is outside, you can’t leave now…,” I lied.
“You can rest here… and leave tomorrow,” I said, trying not to meet her eyes.
“So...I’ll be down,” I said shrugging, and started to leave when she didn't respond.
“Don’t leave….,” she said, after me holding my hand.
“Huh..,” I mumbled, turning around with my wide eyes.
“I mean, I don’t feel good about this… you can sleep here…,” she stammered letting my hands go.
“Okay, sleep here?” I asked, clearing my throat.
“I’ll sleep there on the couch,” she replied, shifting her gaze to the couch of my room.
