chp 16: Electing new ceo

Melissas face has lost all the color now. Warning bells started to run in her mind so she ran back to her room nd packed her stuff quickly. She was leaving the house when she bumped into a maid. So she bribed her to not to tell anyone tht she was there.

Melissa wasn't sure that the maid will keep her mouth shut so she hurriedly called evelyns father.

"Hello" a charming male voice sounded.

"Hi it's me sorry to disturb you so late but we need to get a flight as soon as possible"

"Huh why? I m still in my office"

"Because bellas evelyns nd my life are in danger. I will tell you further details after we meet up just book the earliest flight that is available."

On the other side james was called in hunt corp. All the shareholders were sitting in the conference room with his second uncle and grandpa.

'Wht even grandpa is here. Whats going on'

"So why did all of u called me here?"

One of the shareholder stood up and claimed

"We all are here to vote for the nxt ceo of hunt corp"

"Vote?" James laughed.  "Everyone knows i m the heir so what is the vote for?"

"Vote to get you removed and choosing Mr alex hunt as the next ceo"

James was bewildered. Alex hunt was james second uncle.

"Grandpa you agreed to this?" Everyone looked at old master who was the chairman.

Old master cleared his throat then said seriously

"We should decide who will be the next ceo on the basis of who will profit the hunt corp more"

All the shareholders nodded in agreement. James was confused as to where was his grandpa going with this?

"So james had told me recently that he will bring howell corp into the family by marrying their 2nd daughter" Master hunt paused then looked at james

"Isn't that right james?" James was preplexed.

'When did he?if he remembered correctly he had been refusing all the time'

"What how could that be? And even if tht happens she is the second daughter not the heir" alex interrupted.

"Hmmm the howells owed james an apology so to show their sincerest apology they have choosen the second daughter as the heir who will marry james"

Before james could say anything old master added " so if james fulfill his promise and get married to ms howell in a week i will  announce him the next ceo" shareholders couldn't rebuke now so they agreed

"But if he couldn't you guys can remove him and vote for someone who will bring more profit" with tht he stood up "meeting adjourned" his assistant announced.

James couldn't believe his ears. He thought his grandpa was just joking when he had put forth the condition of marrying bella but now he has announced publicly. This means it was no joke his grandpa really wanted bella as his granddaughter in law.

James pulled his hair showing his frustration.

He went to chairman's office and knocked. "Enter"

"Grandpa what was that?"

"That was me saving your ass as usual" grandpa smirked.

"Wipe that smirk off your face old man. I have told you countless times that i won't marry her"

"Why? She is the most beautiful woman. And all the times that i have interacted with her she seems really intelligent so even if you Don't love her you can still marry her based on these reasons alone. So what is the problem?"

"These are all the reasons why i can't marry her." He shouted realising that his emotions got a little out of control he calmed himself a little and said

"Grandpa plz find any other girl and i will marry her without a problem. just not bella"

"No! I have spoiled u long enough not this time bring her home as daughter in law or forget about hunt enterprise. Now get out" old master seemed really angry now so james left.
