Chapter 19 A Peaceful Time

Ashley's POV

It has been a few peaceful days since I arrived home. It was not even a surprise that my dear parents rescheduled everything on their planner just to make sure I was really okay. Yuki has also taken leave for two days just to help me to properly take care of Aiko, who has also been trying not to leave my side.

That was the kind of reaction I was naturally expecting them to have, so I was not surprised at all. The only surprising thing is probably when I received a floral bouquet of lovely flowers, a handwoven basket of delicious fruits, and a whole chocolate cake from Miles. Technically it was delivered here to our house by his private secretary instead.

I'm sure his mother was behind the whole thing, just like what my dear mother would do if I was in his shoe. I still fully remember his reaction after having discovered his photo with Alecia, that day.
