Chapter 19: Well, Well, Well

"Relax hotshot. I'm not here for trouble" Eric says to Arman as he stood up thinking Eric would do something like the first day. But Arman sure is surprised to see a smile on Eric's face. It looks so real. Laura is also clueless. No one knows Eric's true intentions. No one knows if he even has any.

"Oh, yeah? Then why are you here?"

"Do you own the cafeteria, man?"

Arman looks embarrassed as he just got a slap on his face in front of everyone. He looks at Laura thinking his reputation might be at risk. He must say something to him too.

Arman opens his mouth to say something but Eric just moves away and sits beside Max. Rita's and Hyun's eyes widen as they watch him sit very close to Max. Rita is enjoying the show but Hyun, however, isn't.

Arman looks at Laura with innocent eyes and she just pats his head and chuckles.

"Why are you here?" Max says with a pitched voice. He sounds so sissy. He clears his throat to ask again but Eric says,

"Once again, you don't own the cafeteria as well"

"I meant, why beside me?" Max says with a raised eyebrow.

"Why are you being so cocky today? You kissed me yesterday and now you are going to pretend like nothing ever happened?"

Oh. So this is his real intention here.

"Wait. What?" Arman and Laura ask in unison.

Arman looks at Laura and, she looks at him.

"Why are you surprised?" Arman asks.

"Why are you?" Laura asks back.

"Exactly. Max is, like, the gay slut so I shouldn't be" Arman makes fun of Max right in front of him. Arman's smile fades as he turns to Max and sees his frowning face. Max has it enough.

"I didn't kiss you. You kissed me!" He says pointing at Eric's soft beautiful pink lips. Eric bites his finger and "animal" from Max is what he gets in return. Max was about to lick his own finger but Eric suddenly held his wrist.

He gets closer to Max's face and his shining eyes makes him scared a bit. He holds Max's finger and sucks it slowly still maintaining eye contact with Max. His intention was to lick it but sucking it is intense.

Laura, Arman, Hyun, and Rita. All three's jaws drop open at the scene and Hyun looks as he though he's going to explode.  Raven from behind them starts screaming at this. So loud Max fears she's going to hurt her throat. She falls unconscious on her friend's body. Well, she knew Connor would hold her that's why she chose to fall on him.

"Thanks, Connor" Raven says and pretends to be unconscious.

"You're welcome?"

Max's heart is pounding so hard that maybe everyone around can hear it. Eric releases the finger and looks at Max making puppy eyes and pouts.

"Don't break my heart please"

Holy. shit.

Rita's face slams hard on the table and Arman is as shocked as ever. Hyun looks like his soul is slowly leaving his body and Laura is the only one giggling.

It's clear now that Eric wants to turn Max's friends against him. For a second, Max thought Eric might actually be a nice guy. He stands corrected.

Rita pulled up her face and grasped. She looks directly at Max with squinted eyes,

"You pretty little liar! You said he kissed you!" She screams.

"He did! Why are you believing him and not me?" Max yells.

"I did not. You did" Eric shouts.

"What's going on?" Arman yells.

"OK. I'm out" Hyun takes his books and leaves like nothing matters right now.

"Calm down, everyone!" Laura tries to stop the third world war.

"Oh, you poor, poor soul," Rita says to Eric.

"Max is such a heartbreaker," she says looking at Max.

She slaps Max's hand.  "Bad boy 😑" she scolds him.

Eric managed to get everyone's sympathy without much effort. Max can't believe that his own friends are believing Eric instead of him.

Rita is holding Eric's hands and is trying to comfort him. Like, Eric is a child who actually needs to be comforted.

Yeah, right.

Something about her makes Max understand the real reason behind Rita being so kind to Eric. Eric is hot. Rita is a girl. Girls like hot guys. Rita is just finding excuses to touch Eric.

Damn you, Rita.
