Angeline glanced at the face of the man. She made no mistake in her suspicions regarding his abilities. She shouldn't even be wondering why he won so many tough deals. But with each of those victories, more and more were attempting to take his life.
She also realized in those moments that she should be careful with her thoughts when the two of them face each other. Like the moment she was with Jacob with probing, delicate discussion.
"You may deny what I said, but I found out that you were possibly my secret angel," he laughed.
"But how can you be sure?"
"Last night. I started thinking about how you could easily figure out why I brought you with me. And you even know how to deal with Drake nicely. Then I saw your reaction before you looked at the picture. You were aware that I was watching you."
