Chapter 73: Filler Featuring Raynare and Few Others

"Mistress Raynare, please take a look at this! We managed to find an archive on the west side and I think this is the information that you are looking for." A man the age of 16 yet looks like a fully grown man at height of 176cm, fully geared with technomagic exoskeleton and armed to teeth with inferior copies of Ray's weapons he tried to make in past free time.

The man ran over to Raynare while waving the papers on his hand and a few more behind him, carrying piles of dusty files in their hands. When he passed the papers to Raynare, she started reading with her natural nightvision as a supernatural race and found many interesting pieces of information.

"Umbrella corporation, initially a private pharmaceutical company… the corporation was dismantled when women in society came into power." Raynare glosses over the information before turning to the next paper. "When war broke out, they went into hiding… developing weapons to oppose IS and focused on human mutation to create a superior race of stronger men. Basically an eugenic project."

As Raynare continued to read, she soon found that the corporation had a lot of secret bases all around the world, hidden from public eyes and a lot of personnel working for the corporation as the corporation at the root is a private military company. This means that they initially had a lot of people from before the IS introduction to the world and definitely still does now. They are probably hiding in their secret bases and facilities all over the world.

After looking over the information, Raynare knew she hit a jackpot for investigating this abandoned facility that one of her men discovered through information gathering from the underworld's informants.

"Send more people into the archive. I need you to search for any information about the location of the Unbrella's bases and facilities." Raynare ordered and the previous man that handed her the papers, saluted and started asking for the people spreaded all over the facilities to gather in the archive.

While the man is contacting his fellow mens, one of them reported a gruesome discovery in the deeper levels lab.

"Mistress Raynare, someone discovered something unusual in the floor 7th west lab, room labeled Project T. They requested Mistress Raynare to check it out because it looks very important." The man reported and Raynare nodded. She ordered the men above to search the archive while she headed down to the said lab and checked out the interesting stuff the team below discovered.

"These… are mutated humans. Are there more of them?"

"Yes, Mistress Raynare. We found 5 more separate labs containing various mutated humans and animals. Although this is the most dangerous looking one and Greg over there hacked the terminal to find this one is labeled Tyrant. A Bio Organic Weapon made Umbrella corporation as super soldier but this one is the first prototype and a failure because of a major defect of its degraded intelligence." A soldier reported to Raynare.

"We also found out they were developing viruses to create these mutants." Greg at the terminal added as he is still reading through all the information he found at the terminal.

Raynare went over to the terminal and read it herself for a few minutes before she made her decision.

"Download all the information in the terminals and purge all these mutants then the facility. We have to destroy everything here just to be sure. Also tell the boys on top to prepare an antiviral disinfection procedure. This facility was apparently abandoned because of the virus that leaked within the facility and we might carry them on our body right now." Raynare leaves her order to the group before leaving the lab to go deeper into this subterranean research facility.

She was wary because if the virus was leaked within, there should be an internal virus outbreak that caused the staff members to be mutated and yet they hadn't yet found any enemies since they entered this facility. Not even a decomposed corpse, skeletons or even sign of struggle. The facility is still in good condition without bullet marks, blood stains or anything. It's very suspicious.

As she walked down the hallway into the next floor, all she heard was the sound of her metallic boots that echoed this empty facility. It was eerie, almost like walking into a haunted house but Raynare isn't any random person to get scared of such supernatural stuff. She is a fallen angel and former angel even, the haunted feeling isn't going to affect her but she still could shake away the feeling that something isn't right. Something feels very wrong.

When her senses triggered, she instantaneously conjured a Light dagger and threw it into the pitch black hallway and lit up the path it passed through for a moment before it planted into the wall, all the way to the hilt of the Light dagger.

She was at first confused because her dagger hit nothing and she trusted her instinct honed for a decade that something was there a moment ago. She immediately turned serious as she fully equipped her exoskeleton suit that previously she only partially wore for better movement as the suit she had was a defensive one and quite heavy compared to the all-rounder type the boys were wearing. Then she brought out her magic catalyst in the form of a rifle that she can pour her magic to cast her magic very fast to look like she is actually shooting a rifle instead of casting magic.

(The rifle uses the same idea from Saga of Tanya the Evil. The user can pour in mana to shoot magic as the rifle itself is a complex technomagic magic stick/catalyst.)

Raynare uses her magic to enhance her senses as she sweeps through each room and still finds nothing. She relaxed herself a bit and contacted the teams above to be wary of their surroundings. She didn't want to take chances after all and get scolded by Ray for being careless which resulted with the death of his people.

As Raynare moved deeper into the facility, she finally reached the last floor of the facility and she was standing in front of a vault-like door that surprisingly didn't need a key to open. From the way it was built, the door is made to lock things inside and only opens from her side. The whole floor is just this vault-like room and a lot of servers that are no longer operational due to lack of maintenance.

Along the way are more empty rooms filled with research equipment, untouched and in good condition other than layers of dust from years of being abandoned.

Raynare looks at the vault, curious of what is on the other side but after knowing what this facility is creating, there is nothing good for sure. She instead start carving runes and magic circles to explode this facility to oblivion. This kind of magic isn't exactly her specialty but she had to make due since Roseweisse and Xenovia are also busy chasing after the Umbrella's trail all the way to Russia. Meanwhile Ravel is busy working almost 12 hours a day managing their new company that just started to grow with Kalawarna. Mittelt is holding the fort over at the Island to maintain the magic wards and take care of Cheshire. The vampire duo in the basement isn't exactly useful in demolition work anyway which leaves her to deal with this herself unless she seeks help from Ray. Which she did.

"Hello honey, are you busy right now?" Raynare called him but she can hear sound like an angry mob of women cursing at him. Something about defiling their Cecilia.

"Uh.. kinda. So, why did you call?" Ray replied with a slight hurried breath while sound concern for Raynare.

"Sure… just make sure you use protection, Ray. Unlike us, normal humans get pregnant easily and she is still a student to be burdened with motherhood." Raynare joked with a sly chuckle that made Ray whined in defeat to correct his wife.

"Just say what you want. I'm busy running from people that are going to hang me alive and flay my skin open."

"Just need an extra hand to blow stuff up." Raynare told Ray before she completed another rune and moved on to the next spot to start carving again.

"Kay, I'll send Lancelot in a moment." Ray said before he hung up on Raynare.

"Hum.. juicy story to share with the others." Raynare said before she continued humming to a music while carving runes on the floors and walls of this place.

Moments later, a magic circle with Ophis magic crest appeared and Lancelot teleported over with a confused look as he was cleaning Ray's dorm room a second ago. He is still holding a scrubber and wearing a waterproof suit that he used when he clean the bathroom.

"Oh, Mistress Raynare. Anything I can help with?" Lancelot asked as he removed the scrubber from his hand but still wearing the white waterproof suit.

"Yeah, see those runes?" Raynare points on the freshly carved but inert runes. "Fill them all up with mana. As much as you could." She continued her instructions before returning to carve more explosion runes.

Lancelot nodded in reply and immediately went to complete the task given by Raynare. His used mana immediately refilled because Ray equipped Arondight in his weapon slot and benefited from being in contact with Ophis.

An hour later, every team exited the facility and bathed in disinfectant multiple times before Raynare triggered all the explosion magic and runes.

At first, the ground shakes violently. The smoke exploded out of the entrance disguised as a mining shaft. Then the ground caved in because the facility was turned into rubbles. Raynare gives a finishing touch by remoulding the earth and plants with magic to cover up the place before they flee the scene with teleportation magic.

Minutes later, a squad of American military IS arrived to check the source of the violent earthquake but nothing was found even after a thorough investigation and chalked off as freak seismic activity which is uncommon but not that rare either to warrant a thorough investigation by researchers.

When returned to the island, Raynare dropped off the important information in Ray's office to be sorted out by either Kalawarna or Roseweisse, whoever returned first, later.

Then Raynare went to take a shower to wash off all the sweat and dirt she accumulated from her previous activity before changing to casual clothes and finding the others in the mansion. When she arrived at the garden outside, she found Mittelt lounging lazily at the garden with her hand on the master ward, siphoning her mana while looking after Cheshire and someone else's children, playing what kids normally would.

"Raynare… how's the mission goes?" Mittelt called out Raynare when she saw her walking out of the mansion.

"Good I suppose. However, we have to wait until the information is sorted out and verified before I can say it's a great success." Raynare replied as she walked to a chair next to Mittelt before taking a seat next to her.

"You know, you've been staying here at home too much lately, Mittelt. Going to get chubbier if this continues." Raynare teased Mittelt that become lazier lately and preferred to not take part in any mission like everyone else did.

"As if. We can literally burn calories just doing nothing but regenerating mana naturally. Besides, I also exercised regularly too." Mittelt retorted Raynare words but blushed on the latter part while Raynare looked at her with deadpan stare.

"What? It's true that I exercised regularly." Mittelt defended when Raynare looked at her like that.

"Sex don't count, idiot midget."

"Stop calling me midget, cow tits."

"Just admit that you envy my babies here." Raynare played with her boobs as she gloated at the cute, blushing and also angry Mittelt that looked like an angry cat minus the hissing. She always had fun teasing Mittelt as the one with the smallest breast. Even Ravel have bigger breast than her which made Mittelt's breast the prime victim of Raynare teasing

"Why would I envy your cow udders? Ray liked mine just fine. Hmph!" Mittelt pouted and looked away from the smirking Raynare.

"*Sigh* Mittelt, Mittelt. He is just being polite and said it to make you happy. Last night when he had his turn with me and Roseweisse, I remember he said he liked Roseweisse breast the most because hers is very well-endowed and soft like touching a cloud, he said." Raynare recalled for Mittelt while trying to hide the widening smirk on her face as Mittelt was obviously worried and had doubts from the words that Raynare spoke to her.

"Did he ever touch your boobs before? Oh, sorry. You didn't have one…" Raynare had to force herself to not laugh that her face twitched as she tensed her facial muscles to hold her smirking expression.

"You! You.. I'll tell…"

"Tell who? Ray? Why not now? We go ask him now if he liked your chopping board or my melons here. In fact, I heard he made a move on the Cecilia girl that is only a few cm smaller than mine which should tell you Ray definitely prefers a bigger one than a flat one like yours."

Without even waiting, Mittelt already ran into the mansion to change outfit and went to meet Ray immediately. Raynare only wanted to meet the new girl in person and needed an excuse to do so. That's why she is baiting Mittelt but she wouldn't move an inch out of this Island normally which is why Raynare has to resort to this method.

"Cheshire!" Raynare called and Cheshire, who was playing with her friends and cat, immediately looked toward Raynare.

"Yes, mama?" Cheshire said as she walked closer to Raynare.

"Do you want to meet your papa, his new girlfriend?" Raynare cooed while rubbing Cheshire's head and chin that made her melted to Raynare's hands and purred adorably.

"Meet papa? And new mama?" Cheshire asked confusedly.

"Yes, yes. Cheshire will probably meet many new mama." Raynare smiled warmly to her adorable daughter as she explained.

"Many mama?! Let's go!" Cheshire cheered

Raynare chuckled at the eager kitten before she carried Cheshire in her hand and ready to leave with Mittelt. However he had to find Lancelot first and ask him to take care of the master ward while they were away.

(While Ray is in the academy playing student and interacting with girls, his wives is running a multi-billion dollar company, hunting evil organizations and taking care of the island. Truly living life like the mc from The Ideal Sponger Life manga. If only its me... fugg tax, fugg bills, fugg rents and everything else. Though I wonder how will it turn out when the Infinite Stratos main heroins finally meet Ray's family. The other students too I guess.)
