Chapter 58: Ray's Love Life

I yawned as I woke up with a hangover. Shouldn't fall into the temptation of others and drink a lot of alcohol…

Anyway, I open my augmented reality phone displayed by my implant directly on my eyes. My schedule said I'm having a holiday today after last night's fiasco. Knowing that I didn't need to work today made me want to fall back to sleep but my body is hot and sticky from sweat. Also heavy, which I can guess it's the girls that brought me back last night when I'm drunk.

Opening my eyes for real, I saw the room isn't my room which means it's the trio's house I'm sleeping at.

"Raynare…" I lazily called to wake her up and release me so I could move out of the bed but she only replied with a grunt under the sheet.

"Raynare?" I called again but there was no grunt from under the sheet. Instead the one next to mtle hidden under the sheet popped out and she is Raynare.

Hold on a second… I realized something wrong that caused a chill down my spine and sobered my head immediately. There is too much body under the sheet to be Raynare and Mittelt only. I quickly lifted open the sheet and saw not one but four extras that shouldn't be on my bed with me. All of them are naked too.

"Xenovia, Kalawarna, Ravel and Roseweisse…" My blood turned cold immediately. WTF I did last night when I'm drunk!

I jumped out of the bed immediately which instantly woke up everyone. The girls are groaning and complaining they were woken up too early. However my focus isn't on their speech but rather on their lower hole. All four, Xenovia, Kalawarna, Ravel and Roseweisse were reddish pink and swollen while white fluid stains are seen on either the dried up one or the freshly leaked out one.

Sound of shattered glass was heard in my ears as I was overwhelmed with shock. I massage my temple while moving out from the room, dressed with a towel wrapped around my waist. I walk out to the private garden connected to the pool and find a table there to sit. Then I pull out an unfinished cigar, still lighted from my inventory and smoke the shit out of it to clear my messed up mind.

Xenovia I didn't mind since we do express our love to each other. Kalawarna is ok I guess we can still talk over it. The same with Roseweisse and she probably wouldn't mind as long as I take responsibility. However, Ravel made me dread the consequence of defiling the purity of the Phenex clan princess without their permission or any marriage between me and Ravel.

The devil race didn't have aversion to sex outside of marriage. In fact it's normal for even those underage by human standard to have sex and its acceptable by devil society as they are devil, the creature of sins. However that's for the commoner devil. The noble houses and clans is different and having sex before marriage is frowned upon for female devil. They are expected to preserve their purity for their future husband and used as tools to bridge between families or clans like Rias Gremory. She tried to give Issei her purity to nullify her engagement contract to Riser Phenex.

The more he thought about it the harder his headaches were and inevitably his hand reached into his inventory and took out alcohol to drink away his trouble. A temporary escape but an escape nonetheless.

"Should we help comfort him?" Roseweisse asked as she peeked at Ray, drowning away his problem with alcohol.

"Yeah, what if darling reacted badly and rejected us?" Ravel said as she already intimately calls Ray as darling.

"Probably but very unlikely. If I can guess, he is probably worried about the aftermath of stealing your virginity without permission from your parents." Raynare explained while lifting her sore body up to a seated position. Having to take the burnt of feeding Ray viagra to have sex with six women, her body now is extremely tired and exhausted that even moving herself without help is near impossible.

Raynare glanced at Mittelt, the cause of why Ray needed Viagra in the first place. To make it short, Ray should normally be able to handle 4 virgins without needing Viagra but Mittelt didn't follow the plan and hog Ray for a while when she and Raynare are tiring out Ray a bit before the newcomer takes their turn. By the time it's their turn, Ray's little brother already limped and Raynare forced to resort to Viagra but she had to tame his overflowing lust that the four couldn't take one without being turned into a ragdoll.

The culprit is still snoring and returns to sleep when Ray suddenly wakes them all up.

"My father and mother actually approved my relationship with darling as long as darling promised to marry me. They didn't even mind if I'm not the first wife, surprisingly."

"Hmn.. That's good news. Anyway, let's clean ourselves and make ourselves presentable to him when he drowns enough in alcohol." Raynare ordered her fellow sisters as the one befitting the first wife position.

"Let's." The group agreed before they helped Raynare to the bathhouse that was shared with Ray's house. They have a decent sized bathhouse to accommodate their big numbers.

"Just haul her to the bathroom and throw her into cold water." Raynare grinned sadistically and told Roseweisse who was about to carry the sleeping Mittelt.

"O-oh okay." Roseweisse nodded and carried out the order given to her.

In the afternoon, Ray finally sobered up and took a long soak in hot water. He wanted to forget about the problem and move one like nothing happened but he knew it's impossible. Especially when Ravel's parents and Roseweisse grandmother are in front of him.

He was tempted to commit seppuku and sacrifice one life to prove his sincerity and beg for forgiveness from Ravel's parents but they suddenly said they would give him their blessing with the condition that he promised to marry Ravel within six months due to the clan's political reasons.

Ray accepted without hesitation, the solution to his predicament. Then on to Roseweisse grandmother, all she asked is for Ray to take responsibility and marry Roseweisse. Definitely not threatened by any means.

Ray melted to the couch immediately after Ravel's parents and Roseweisse grandmother left. He wanted a break which thankfully is plenty after their recent victory against Loki which increased the morale of the alliance and strengthened their belief that they are winning the war. Khaos Brigade's sudden reduction in activities helped to make people believe the rumor although the top authoritative figures like Ray knew this is just another calm before storm situation.

"Marriage huh…" Ray muttered then sighed as he stared at the ceiling.

"Uh, darling…"

"Hmn?" Ray grunted with his eyes closed when Ravel called his name.

"About the weddings, let me take care of it. I know darling is already busy with your jobs. So, let me take care of it." Ravel tried to gauge Ray's response to the subject but she found no anger or anything negative in his expression other than neutral expression while he was in deep thoughts.

At least she knew what Raynare said is true that if the deed is already done, Ray wouldn't fixate on it and simply move on and adapt to the changes like how he didn't care to find out how it happened and instead worried about the marriage and increased responsibilities.

Marrying one means marrying all or dissatisfaction will occur according to Ray. If he promised to marry Ravel within six months, this means he also have to marry the others also in one go according to their agreed numerical order with Raynare being first then Mittelt, Xenovia, Kalawarna, Ravel then Roseweisse the last and most recent one. Ray simply hoped Ravel's parents agreed to make the wedding small scale and invite only close friends and relatives.

Ray sighed again. "Okay" He replied to Ravel.

"By the way, since we are given a few days of holiday, why don't we go to the human world and have a vacation?" Raynare suggested.

"Yeah, it's been a few months of constantly working around the clock. We should have visited the human world again." Mittelt agreed to Raynare and the other girls nodded their heads too. All agree to the idea Raynare proposed.

"Sure, why not." Ray didn't bother to argue because he also got tired of the Underworld after staying here for months. This place looks mystical and fantasy at first but after staying here, he would rather have earth than an Underworld that didn't have hostile flora and fauna everytime he tried leaving the civilization into the depth of the land, trying to make him their dinner.

With a plan for vacation, Ray and the girls went to pack their luggage. Xenovia, Ravel and Roseweisse went back to their respective homes to pack their stuff before joining Ray again later. The latter group packed not just for the vacation but also everything else as they wanted to move in with Raynare or Ray's house.

In the late evening, Ray had free time after dealing with the girls and the fallout of what happened last night. He is now walking around the base with Cheshire and her no longer kitten cat on my shoulder.

A military base it is, the Satan Lucifer who is incharge of this base construction. He didn't skip on the beauty aspects of the base. There is a large park near the residential district, where Ray is bringing Cheshire for a walk at. Other than the two of them, there are also other families in the park with their children. They are the family members of the soldiers. Though Ray carefully avoided them because he didn't like to be swarmed by the people since he is rather popular.

Ray brought Cheshire to a rather secluded area of the park that had a large pond filled with fishes. This is Cheshire's and her cat's favourite place to play at. When Ray let her down, she immediately ran to the pond with her cat.

"Hey, be careful when running. It's slippery near the pond." Ray lightly scolded Cheshire while taking out fish feeds from his inventory and giving it to Cheshire. "Here, go feed those fish." Cheshire accepted it before thanking Ray then started grabbing fistfuls of the fish feed then throwing it into the pond.

Those fish immediately went into a frenzy and crowded the pond edge where Cheshire is feeding them.

"Come fishy fishy, eat a lot nya and grow big for me to eat. Nyahahaha" Cheshire laughed like an evil villain and her partner in crime, the cat also meowed along with Cheshire.

Ray just silently observed Cheshire while enjoying nature and her ambience. Perfect to alleviate his accumulated stress.

After feeding the fish, Cheshire asked Ray to visit the park since she wanted to visit her friends. Ray didn't have reason to disagree and brought her to the park after adequately hiding his face with a hat and sunglasses. He wanted to add a face mask but he thinks it's overkill and would make him more suspicious instead.

"Let's go." Ray pat Cheshire's head before carrying her on his arm toward the park.

"Come kitty, let's go and play with friends." Cheshire called her cats that immediately leap to her as she was carried away by Ray to the edge of the park.

Ray released her and let her go to her friend and play while he stayed at the sideline watching. He is satisfied with just keeping an eye on her as Cheshire plays chase with the cat.

Speaking of the cat, the cat has grown to be almost the size of a puppy already and she is still growing bigger without any sign of stopping. Ray wondered how big the cat would be when grown to full size. The cat also shows mastery with simple use of elemental powers like right now the cat uses wind to push her up to a tree to escape Cheshire that lunged at her and almost hit the tree trunk but Ray partially equipped his Ladon MK VII, only the left gauntlet and create a barrier to stop her fall.

While watching out for Cheshire, he also multitasks on his status screen. With the constant soldiers going into Mission stages and trains, he raked a massive amount of money that definitely had more than ten digits. Those money he used to outfitting his operators that currently reached 56 operators.

Ray rarely skips his grinding, partially due to wanting to unlock more functions and hoping his system will give rewards when he reaches a certain milestone. The other reason is Lancelot, or rather, the holy sword Arondight. The sword turned into a living being that can be leveled up and he needs to reach a certain level to unlock the skill he is very sure is noble phantasm from Fate, Arondight Overload and Knight of Owner. Though it would be a long journey there considering the former need level 500 and the latter need Level 1000 or the max level to unlock.

The saving grace of this predicament is unlike himself, everyone else takes half the exp he needed to level up. His current level is 563 while Lancelot is 512 and unlocked Arondight Overload.

The noble phantasm is very strong against enemies that are weak against holy and light attributes. He tested the weapon and asked for Michael's assessment on the level of the noble phantasm. To his surprise, Michael said the attack without boost can heavily injure or kill a High Class opponent and especially effective with high regeneration type like vampire because the attack is basically an extremely condensed and compact torrent of light beam which deals damage continuously in very fast speed instead of single attack.

With Lancelot's help, Ray can hold the attack instead of releasing it to effectively turn Arondight into a knock-off but better lightsaber. Though Ray disliked it because it didn't fit the ecstatic with his armor is fully jet black with an accent of dull golden and multicoloured orbs of blue, green and grey, respectively came from Albion, Ddraig and Ladon clones.

Because of that, lately Ray has been trying his best and always throws himself into the hardest stages with any free time he has on each day. Though tomorrow he will stop because he and the girls, old and newly joined, decided to go on a vacation on Earth.

"Papa! I'm hungry."

"Meow."

One kitten and a cat complained about their hunger and followed by growls from their stomachs. Ray looked away from the invisible screen then looked at the two before he nodded and took out two small ziplock bags. One contains cookies and another is chunks of fish meat in cube shape.

Ray gives Cheshire a chocolate chip cookie then two fish cubes to the cat for them to snack on while he brings them back home. The sun is about to set which means it's transitioning to night time. Then Ray swoops them two and walks home.

"*Sigh* Cheshire… What did I say about eating slowly and with good manners?" Ray said when pieces of cookie rained down his head.

"Nya, so- *munch* -wy papa. *Gulp* Hehe…" Cheshire replied, definitely isn't repenting since this isn't the first or last time it happened. Cheshire is a messy eater when she is very hungry.

"*Sigh*... You were such good mannered when with Aunt Miki but not when with me. Papa's feelings are hurt." Ray pretends to grunt in pain and holds his left chest to joke around with Cheshire. "Do you like Aunt Miki more than papa?"

"Nyo, Cheshire loves papa the most!" Cheshire panicked a little and hugged Ray's head and apologized. "Cheshire one day grows up want to marry papa, nya."

Ray immediately stop in his track and gasped with his eyes widen in shock, surprised then terror.

"Who.. who teaches you these words!" Ray immediately asks Cheshire, inquisitively.

This kind of thing isn't what someone her age should know and learn. He even purposely made her avoid most adults because knowing this ero world, they will corrupt his cute and cuddly little Cheshire.

"Eh, Cheshire learned from the tv brother Lancelot watch when papa is working nya. Uhh… Ah, brother Lancelot call it soap opera!" Cheshire cheered innocently when she remembered the words correctly.

Meanwhile Ray is grinding his teeth. He is careless, this is Underworld and the tv is hooked to the Devils tv channels. However, regret is futile now.

"Uh, Cheshire."

"Yes, papa?"

"A daughter shouldn't marry her father, Cheshire. Incest is not good." Ray tried to teach her common sense.

"But, the tv says if Cheshire loves papa, Cheshire must become Papa's bride nya. Besides, papa isn't Cheshire's biological papa. Marrying papa isn't incest nya."

Ray hated how she was always smart at the wrong time and situation. Cheshire might not be smart in understanding due to her 'set' age but she can absorb knowledge perfectly fine since she isn't a normal human but a shipgirl that is more similar to biodroid than human.

Without a counter to her argument, Ray left speechless and gears in his head is working overclock trying to dissuade his adoptive daughter while on his way back home.

As much as I want to have a sweet home Alabama situation, Cheshire isn't the biological daughter of Ray as she said and I did it just for the joke/comedy and didn't actually plan for father X daughter relationship in the future. However the possibility is there.
