Chapter 16: Meeting the Satan's Sister

Opening her eyes, Raynare sees her surroundings are dark and suffocating like her head is being wrapped. She tried to remember what happened to her and remembered that an unknown guy came out of nowhere and shot her almost to death before her memory failed to give her further information.

When she realised her situation, she struggled to break free but her body was strapped to a surface and her head was wrapped by something. Then she felt someone push her neck back against the surface before injecting something on her neck.

Her struggling becomes weaker and weaker until her body becomes totally numbed and cannot move at all. She feels dread and keeps praying for someone to save her which is ironic for an angel fallen from the grace of god to pray.

"Bring her to the table." Raynare hears someone giving orders. Her body is so numb that she cannot feel anything from neck down but her head can feel she is moved. Then the blind on her head is taken off.

In front of her is more than a dozen people wearing weird futuristic military equipment from guns to armor. Two highlighted in blue, 3 in yellow and 6 in red. Only one that didn't have any highlighting colours and was simply covered in bulky and mostly shiny jet black armor.

"Administer the truth serum. Overdose her since she isn't a human, her biology should be stronger than a human." The one in jet black armor ordered.

"Affirmative, High Commander Ray" two soldiers that are highlighted in blue pull out syringes out of nowhere and inject drugs into her arm.

Raynare couldn't resist as her body is numb from neck down. She couldn't even shout as she tried as hard as she could. She wanted to cry but not even her tear glands listened to her will.

"Good. Now, let's start the interrogation shall we, Raynare. The rule is simple, you cannot lie with the truth serum but if you refuse to cooperate you will lose a limb each time you refuse, okay? Blink twice if you agree."

Raynare immediately blinks twice. She didn't dare to refuse when her own body is not even in her control.

"Hmn, restore her ability of speech." The leader ordered again and the one in blue injected something into her body again.

"Now, Raynare was it? Who ordered you to kill Issei Hyoudou and what is your reason?"

The first question was given to her and she replied immediately that the one who ordered her is Kokabiel and she was ordered to kill issei because he has the potential to become dangerous to her leader.

Hmn, she was doing this for Kokabiel but isn't the fallen angel leader Azazel? More questions but this helps me piece the puzzle of my knowledge of DxD.

"Then, is this mission approved by your race leader, Azazel?"

"No, Kokabiel is working against Azazel's will and wants to instigate a war using the sister of satans as the trigger." Raynare replied again but she visibly tried to stop herself from uttering the latter part.

Then, what they are doing is technically illegal and without the consent of their leader. Raynare is basically committing crime to her faction by disobeying Azazel and assisting Kokabiel in action that is basically an terrorist activities. Using the Satan's sisters as leverage or trigger to create a war.

What a deep conspiracy I found myself in less than a week after arriving in a new world. Sigh, maybe I am a trouble magnet after all. However, I wonder what I can do with this information… Then I remembered Asia Argento, the exiled nun that Raynare will try to kill basically to extract her sacred gear.

"Tell me, when will Asia Argento arrive in Kuoh town."

Raynare's eyes widened in surprise before she answered that she would arrive in two day.

"Good. Now, tell me every information about your allies."

An hour later, Raynare is released from the interrogation room. She said she will agree to anything as long as I let her live. Then my system received a notification saying that I subdued an enemy which allowed me to make her my minion.

She agreed to submit and received an implant on her brain stem which connected to her spinal cord. This allows the implant to literally hijack her body and use it like a puppet. I tried and it feels… corrupting that I can play someone like a toy whenever I want.

Since Raynare isn't a threat anymore, I unsummon my operators and leave only one before I go to sleep with Cheshire. Raynare tried to sleep in the living room but she kept having a nightmare that woke her up suddenly.

Next morning, I heard someone banging on my door, at 5:40 in the morning. I quickly went and checked to see Issei on my door.

"What do you want this early in the morning?" I ask after opening the door while yawning because I slept very late last night after interrogating Raynare until 2 am in the morning.

"Hehe, about the devil recruiting me… the devil called Rias Gremory visited me last night and asked me to join her peerage." Issei explains sheepishly while scratching his head, pretending to be innocent for unknown reasons.

My fatigue instantly reduced and my body entered a combat ready state. I looked at the group beside Issei and saw a red haired lady with absurd sized boobs and another one with black hair and very big boobs.

I can already guess why Issei looks very guilty. He was fucking tempted by the two pairs of jugs. Even now, he is still stealing glances at those absurdly sized boobs.

"Nice to meet you, Mister Raymond D'Angelo. I am Rias Gremory from the exalted house of Gremory. Pleasure to be your acquaintance." Rias Gremory introduced herself then her other peerage members that include Akeno Himejima, Koneko Tojou and Kiba Yuuto.

This damn brat brought the whole peerage of a devil to my front door, first thing in the morning because he can't think with his head and use his dick instead.

I sighed before inviting them in. I quickly went into my room and summoned my operators to protect Cheshire if things go south. Then I made myself an instant coffee. Since I just moved in, there isn't enough furniture for everyone. Raynare already occupied the sofa which left only two chairs and a table.

Only Rias and I were seated, the rest decided to remain standing.

"Um… don't mind me asking but why is there a Fallen Angel in your house and sleeping on the sofa?" Rias finally asked the question which her other peerage members wanted to ask but didn't.

"Don't mind her. She is now my prisoner after I defeated her. Anyway, back to our conversation. You wanted to recruit Issei into your peerage, correct?"

"Yes, I see great potential in him and he also agreed quite easily to become a devil. Issei said that you explained that becoming a devil will help him achieve his goal."

"Yes, uncle said that becoming a devil is the quickest way for me to become a harem king!" Issei declared with great vigor while fist pumping.

"*Sigh* As you know, he is very willing to become a devil for a chance to be promoted to become a high class devil and obtain his own peerage." I explained in exasperation while the others chuckled except Koneko who remained expressionless.

"Because of that, I wanted to make sure he would not be cheated when dealing with the devil. He, after all, is very easily manipulated, especially when he is thinking with his dick inside of brain." I emphasize the word dick to point out how Rias and Akeno are blantly using seduction to influence Issei.

"Then what is your condition for him to join my peerage?" Rias asks while ignoring my previous remarks.

"First is to make sure that Issei will have his merit judged fairly. Any manipulation to prevent his promotion is forbidden, either by you, your family or the devil government." I can see a frown on Rias' face.

"The first one is very easy to agree with, right? He will be promoted based on his effort."

"Yes, it is fair if he has the merit already. However, why will you suggest such conditions? We didn't even know if Issei-kun sacred gear is strong or did you already know what the sacred gear is?" Rias smirks smugly that she manages to corner me but I also have something called, UNO reverse card bich!

"Yes, however, aren't you the same? Since you are conveniently able to give Issei the summoning paper just before his date. As if you already knew that Issei will be killed and you use this chance to make him indebted to you and gain his loyalty. As if you planned all this right? Since you are one of the town overseers, you should be aware of the fallen angels' presence."

"What an interesting theory you have, Mister Raymond." Rias' face started to twitch to maintain her smile. Issei, who previously looked excited, immediately looked shocked and confused. He didn't know who to trust but he subconsciously gravitated towards Ray who saved him before and is his family.

"They, you dare to swear upon your soul that you didn't have any machinations to recruit Issei?"

Rias' smile turned into a frown immediately because she knew that if she swore upon her soul, she would suffer great consequences or backlash from lying. A vow to own soul is a double edge sword because it restrain oneself like a geass from Fate.

"Now that we have a common ground, are you willing to start the discussion of the conditions?" Ray sneered at Rias' attempt to verbally corner him when he had knowledge of anime on his side. Not much but enough to gain an edge against Rias.

"I will agree to the first term." Rias said with a soured mood.

"Good then. The next one is Issei will be given the best treatment and training that your clan can offer. In exchange for that, I will tell you the name of his Longinus gear."

Rias about to call it a scam because the sacred gears could be useless or weak but when she heard Ray call it Longinus Gear, all of her peerage eyes bulged and their mouth gaped.

This reaction is to be expected because Longinus gear is the ultimate sacred gear that can kill even a god! There are only thirteen of these gears. Each one of them is enough for factions to wage war over if the news is leaked about an unclaimed Longinus wielder.

"I agree" Rias agreed almost instantly.

"Then the last one is to start training your peerage and yourself properly. I would rather not have my nephew a toy for another king because his peerage king keeps procrastinating and hoping her arranged marriage will resolve itself magically. It would be insulting for the wielder of Boosted Gear to have such a pathetic king after all."

Multiple emotions flashed through her face from the information overload. 'How is he able to know about my arranged marriage? Who is he? The heck you mean by Boosted Gear!' These questions appeared in her mind but none were able to be talked out because she was simply too stunned.

Her peerage is quick to the action and enters a battle ready state. Lightning forms in Akeno's hand. Kiba draws his sword using Sword Birth and Koneko simply enters a fighting stance.

"Stop!" Rias ordered and her peerage complied immediately because she sounded very serious.

"Fine, I agree with all your terms but you must tell me who are you? You definitely are not a human who simply knows about the supernatural world if you know this much sensitive information." Rias demanded.

"Me? I'm just a human that still cannot use magic or tied to any factions and happens to be Issei's uncle. I swear that upon my soul" I said with a smirk.
