CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY SIX

As anxious as I am in getting back to Jamie, who by now must be going crazy and ready to trip off again, something she does when I don't pay her much attention or when I am caught up in my own problems or trying to eliminating my problems.

With both my wife and mother's life being at risk in the world of my father and grandfather, I have to do what is necessary in protecting and keeping them safe.

"I have somewhere to be" I told Douglar, "maybe we can catch up when next I visit." I finished, turning in the direction the of the elevator.

Chuckling dryly behind me, "oh, I just wanted to let you know, your grandfather and the lovely Jessica Scott, whom I think would have been a better choice of a,wife for you, hired me to find your wife" he paused for emphasis and your baby." Douglar laughs, with a sinister gleam in his eyes, as he leans closer to me.

Without a second thought, I punched him square in the face, grabbing ahold of his jacket, so that he won't fall, sending another punch on the same spot, with my knuckles feeling the impact of the punch.

Still holding on to Douglar now with my two hands, I raised my right knee hitting him in the groin, watching him bend over in pain. I pulled him back up, his face now covered in sweat with specks of blood at the edge of his mouth.

Glaring down at him, fighting the urge to throttle him despite all of the witnesses. "Please convey to my grandfather and sister-in-law, message received." I responded with a sneer before using all of my strength to throw him away from me.

Without a backward glance, I stormed out of the bar, aware that I will have to make a visit to Papa's very soon, because there's a lot more going on there, than I thought.

"F**K!" Justin muttered, while the lift descended to the carpark.

Too angry to verbally communicate with anyone, I pulled my side piece out in anticipation of a confrontation downstairs.

The engines of two of my vehicles were already running, so Justin walked across to the vehicle we came in while Cam and Bob, walked across to ensure that our guys occupied the other two vehicles.

In five minutes tops, we drove out of Papa's car park full speed ahead, the inside of the vehicle in total silence.

I started flexing my fingers as the pain in my knuckles increased.

"F**k, Jamie's going to give me hell for this." I muttered to myself, glaring at the back of Justin's head as he starts to laugh.

Shaking his head, he continues to laugh outrageously, "man I'm sure that Douglar boy, wished he didn't resurrect from the dead, after tonight's beating." Justin continued laughing.

I've been thinking about Douglar, but not along the same lines.

Frowning, "my grandfather knew he was alive all this time. Whatever their game is, they've been playing it all my life." I said staring at the back of Justin's head. Justin was there that night and we bolted after the incident, without double checking the scene of the crime.

"Did you ever suspect Douglar was alive?" I asked Justin, remembering that I had to drag him with me as, seventeen year old me ran.

Bob turned around to face me, since I was sitting behind him alongside Cam.

"So let me get this straight." He started, "You killed this Douglar guy and he came back from the dead to threaten your wife and ended up getting a kickass from you?" Bob asked and I just nodded, while Justin starts chuckling, again.

"He's lucky the joint was packed out, otherwise he would have died a second time at your hands." Justin continued and I realize what he says is true, but what is also true is that he knows Jessica and together with her and my grandfather, they are seeking to find my wife and unborn child.

"I've got to move mom and Jamie." I finally decided, that as much I desire to keep Jamie close to me, I have to secure her, but where is safe?

I'll have to seek my father out for his assistance, because mom has a runway event coming up and I need for her and the patrons to be safe.

My grandfather knows no bounds when he wants to have his way, now I am simply going to have to do things his way.

Classic case of fighting fire with fire.

Cam's phone beeped and I turned to watch him answer it, because we need to know that we're not being followed.

"Yeah" Cam answers quickly. After a moment, "good, thanks." He finishes and hangs up.

Turning to me, "we're clear." He confirms, turning to stare out his side of the window again, in silence.

Tomorrow to worry about Cam, because tonight I need to fill Jamie in on where I have been and what's been happening.

Bob broke the silence in the vehicle, when he spun around again to face me, "are you going to tell your wife, that you held her sister at gunpoint." He asks and although I want to say no, I have a feeling, Jessica already notified Jerome, who my wife could bully into repeating to her.

I just shrugged away his question, still unsure what my next move with be until I speak to dad.

"Do you think Jamie will have a problem with that?" Cam suddenly breaks the silence, as Justin drove into the village leading to the lake and Jamie.

"I hope not, because I have a bullet with Jessica's name on it and I intend to use it in the not so distant future." I said with as much venom as I could muster.

Justin waves at our night security when we passed through the front gate, realizing I only have seconds to compose myself.
