CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY FIVE

Instead of leaving grandfather behind Mr. Lawrence dragged him by the collar and pushed him into the SUV before turning to me, his eyes softening from the icy cold glare he's been sending after recognizing the necklace Justin give him.

"No, you can't go with us," Mr. Lawrence stopped me, which makes no sense.

Exchanging a quick glance with Justin, I frowned at Mr. Lawrence. "We have as much right to be there as you because when.." pausing because I almost confirmed that I knew the owner of the necklace. "When whoever you're going to visit finds out I rescued your daughter, they're going to come after me." I explained, pushing my way forward once again.

Mr. Lawrence shook his head and looked into the SUV where grandfather sat with his head bowed, staring at me, pleadingly.

Returning grandfather's sorrowful silent plea, Mr. Lawrence asks, "do you recall during the phone call, the man, this monster" Mr. Lawrence says with scorn, pointing to grandfather, "mention the only call he wanted from him was news of the lawyer's death?" Mr. Lawrence asks and I nod slowly, watching Mr. Lawrence turned to grandfather once again, with a cynical snicker.

So Lawrence knew!

"Do you want to do the honors or should I?" He mocks grandfather.

I fought back a snicker, watching the man who made choices to have me killed, the man who had Ralph killed, as he silently plead with me.

"Don't do this," grandfather begged, causing me to wonder if he ever loved me. Here he is begging for his son, the f**king murderer, whom he sent after me for the Daniel's Empire, without any remorse.

"Maybe confessing to your wrong doings would gain you some pointers" Mr. Lawrence, chuckles, clearing mocking grandfather, "unless making peace for the crimes done against him, is not part of you or the boy we're about to visit, plan?" Mr. Lawrence's angry words were meant to aggravate grandfather, whose no longer pretending to be sad and broken but he's now glaring at us, his jaws clenching and unclenching hatefully.

If Mr. Lawrence reveals grandfather and Clyde's plans for me, I mentally vow, grandfather will not be leaving with anyone other than me.

Tired of pussyfooting around, I turn to address Mr. Lawrence. "I take it I'm suppose to be the dead lawyer?" my eyes flickering between Mr. Lawrence and my grandfather.

Mr. Lawrence nods, keeping his eyes on grandfather, who sat unmovable. His expression cold and hard just as his heart that's black and evil.

Rushing forward, catching Mr. Lawrence off guard, I yanked opened the door and dragged grandfather, throwing him bodily out of the car.

Chuckling at the old man on his hands and knees fighting to stand, without anyone's help, watching him try to straightened up. Mr. Lawrence kicked his leg, causing grandfather to yell in pain as he fell to the ground.

"Think about my daughter and what you did to her, before you try to stand again." Slamming his door shut, Mr. Lawrence walks around to his vehicle, nodding for his battered and bruised daughter to join him.

"Whatever you do, I will support you all the way," Mr. Lawrence promises, throwing the necklace towards my chest, pointing to grandfather who made no attempt to stand again.

Having the King of the Daniel's Empire at my feet, with only one thing on my mind.

DETHRONE HIM!

Leaning downwards, I dragged him upwards, with as much hate as I could muster, I connected my right fist to his jaw hearing the sound of bones cracking.

I'm sure my hand would be black and blue but I have no remorse for the man who returned a hateful glare at me, with blood oozing down from inside his mouth.

"This was just for one of the bullets found in Ralph's body," I advised him through gritted teeth, flinging him backwards unto the ground.

"You know what to do," I said to Bob and turned to Justin, "let's go visit grandmother. I believe it's about time to take my rightful place in the family.

Patting me on the shoulder, "remember what I said," Mr. Lawrence reminds of his allegiance to me and the Daniels Empire. "You should hold onto that," he points at the necklace that's now hanging through my bruised fingers, chuckling dryly when I see two of the men riding with Bod, dragging the grandfather towards the back of his vehicle.

"Let them hunt for him while you rebuild what he has broken." Mr. Lawrence tugs at his daughter's hand but she suddenly pulls away and throws herself into my arms, crying hysterically.

"I'm so sorry for being part of your grandfather's plan to destroy your marriage." She apologises and confesses. "I never knew killing you was part of their plan. You have to believe me Logan," Angela Lawrence continued hugging me and crying against my, my arms hanging limp at my side. As I felt her loosening her grip around, me I reached out and grabbed her before she hit the ground.

Having no remorse for the pain I had inflicted on her to get to this place because my wife and unborn child is my number one priority.

Moving forward, Mr. Lawrence hugged both his daughter and I muttering, "thank you, thank you so much for bringing her back to us." Mr. Lawrence wept against my neck.

By the time the Lawrence's took their leave, Bob had already left to transfer grandfather in his new home or torture chamber at the Castle, which because of it's renovations he will not recognize.

Grandfather believing he was meeting his trusting friend only came with his driver whose also loyal to my father but we will have to see just how loyal he is.

One of guard out front allowed Justin and I to enter, while grandfather's special guard, looked on with his normal bland expression, believing everyone's a threat to grandfather.

Whistling I turned to the guard, "is grandfather in?"
