IMPROMPTU MEET
Nattie was at home in bed when David's text came in. She was literally about to take a nap after the whole meeting with Maddie, Cass, and Ava. She groaned when the text came in at first but when she picked up. the phone her mood went from zero to a hundred in seconds. For a while, she just sat there staring at her phone. When people say your brain tells you what your heart wants to feel. This was a classic example of that moment. She remembered when Cass had talked about Brian asking her to prom earlier, she immediately felt her stomach sink. She had secretly been hoping against all odds and all he was going through, that David would ask her to be his date for prom. Although she did not want anyone to know. Well, at least not yet. She had begun to enjoy all the moments she spent with David, even though most of their meets were over Dante and his issues. She had come to cherish each and every one of them.
