The Beautiful Servant

The morning sun shone brightly on the roof of the palace, the entire premises was clean, but they were a few maids cleaning the premises, they were dressed in orange colored hanfu and white hair pins.

A group of maid servants dressed in white and lime green colored hanfu all stood in a row, each of them held a big bundle of clothes in large baskets, among those maids servant was a beautiful female, who looked as delicate as an egg, she had a pair of beautiful obsidian eyes, and a black long hair which was styled with white hair pins, she has a pair of beautiful pink lips. Her white lime green hanfu was clean and she looked neat and smart, she carried her own baskets along with the other servants while they walked towards the laundry.

Yang Ting Ting was the most beautiful servant in the castle, though she was the emperors daughter so she was supposed to be a paragon of beauty.

Yang Ting Ting had barely dropped her basket down when she heard a particular voice calling.

"Ting Ting!" Her Father's second wife and step mother.

Wu Roulan had never been a kind mother towards Yang Ting Ting and her life changed after she appeared as her Father's new wife.

Yang Ting Ting turned into a laundry maid servant ever since Wu Roulan entered her Father's life, she had turned her into a worthless maid servants for her daughter.

Emperor Yang Mu Chen married Wu Roulan two years after Empress Feng Tian's death.

Wu Roulan was one of Yang Mu Chen concubines, who had her first daughter when Yang Ting Ting was born, the three other princesses were born by the other concubines and as a matter of fact, Yang Mu Chen had five daughters and no son.

Yang Ting Ting looked up and saw her step mother, she looked angry and harsh, Yang Ting Ting heart began to pound inside her chest with the fear that she was going to be scolded by her step mother.

For once Yang Ting Ting had tried to be courageous, she didn't like Yi Han her kind maid to be always covering up for her, but when she did, she got locked up in the dungeon for two days without food.

Yang Ting Ting walked up the stairs to meet her step mother, she fixed her gaze to the floor. According to the castle rules, servants weren't supposed to be looking up at their masters, they had to look down when their mistress spoke.

"And where have you been?!" Wu Roulan threw the first angry question at her.

Wu Roulan could be described as beautiful, she had long black hair, a pretty round face and red lips. Despite her stunning looks, Wu Roulan was wicked and very unkind.

"I was going to wash the clothes of princess Yang Chun Ying" She answered in awe.

"Hmph!" Wu Roulan grumbled in dissatisfaction. "And have you given her the morning tea?" She continued, hoping to scold Yang Ting Ting this morning.

'Oh no!' Yang Ting Ting had forgotten to give Yang Chun Ying her morning tea, this is awful. She had left her quarters in hurry, so she had forgotten to give her the morning tea.

"I asked you a question!" Wu Roulan barked at her, when she wasn't responding.

"No" Yang Ting Ting muttered slowly.

Wu Roulan raised a brow, "No? You mean you haven't given my daughter her tea? You left her to be starving in the room, how inhumane! You shall suffer for this" Wu Roulan spoke.

Yang Ting Ting was tired of begging Wu Roulan, and yet she was still going to be punished, so she decided not to beg.

"Go and kneel in the court yard!" Wu Roulan shouted at her.

The court yard was the place were all the servants rested during their free time, so she was going to kneel in front of all the servants?.

Yang Ting Ting turned to go when she heard Yang Chun Ying voice.

"No mother! She deserves a bigger punishment for keeping me hungry since dawn" Yang Chun Ying spoke in anger, steam were hissing out of her ears and and her head was at the verge of erupting. "You lazy bones!" She scoffed.

Yang Chun Ying was tall and looked quite like her mother, except that she was not as beautiful as she is.

She inherited all her mother's behaviors of been harsh and devilish, and she has not even an iota of human kindness inside her.

"Precisely! And what punishment should we give her?" Wu Roulan asked smiling sinisterly.

Yang Chun Ying walked forward in a sly manner. "She should kneel in the sun when it's noon" She answered.

"Yes exactly, oh how did I forget that sweet punishment?" Wu Roulan laughed, "But first, she should kneel in the court yard"

Yang Ting Ting felt nothing but pity for herself, she couldn't fight for herself nor defend herself. Her father was going to kill her if she did.

But she was tired, 'How can an eighteen year old me be treated like nothing?' She wondered.

"Yang Ting Ting!" Someone called.

It was Yang Mo Chou her second half sister. She was also strict and jealous of Yang Ting Ting beauty.

Yang Mo Chou wished she could scar Yang Ting Ting smooth face.

"Where are you going? Have you forgotten that you have to clean my room?" Yang Mo Chou asked in anger.

Yang Ting Ting was tired of this, she wasn't the only servant in the castle, so why do everyone bother her?

"You should watch your mouth before you speak to me, I am your older sister" Yang Ting Ting told her courageously.

"You dare speak to me that way?" Yang Mo Chou glared at her deadly. 'I wish this girl should just die!' She thought within her.

"Yang Ting Ting, didn't I ask you to kneel?" Wu Roulan walked with Yang Chun Ying and the two other wives.

"No," Said the first concubine. "Everyone is tired of her appearance in this house," Wu Roulan spoke. "Because she killed her mother! We need to do something about her, we need to get rid of her forever!"

At that moment Emperor Yang Mu Chen came to the scene.

"She will be getting married!"
