Huge shoutout to the hungry physicists that chose easily memorizable names for the phases of a "theoretical type of degenerate matter that is postulated to exist within the crusts of neutron stars." This matter is known as Nuclear Pasta and has quite a few phases that happen to be named after things that could be eaten. For example, we have the gnocchi phase, the spaghetti phase, the lasagna phase (named after lasagne), the bucatini phase also known as the antispaghetti phase, and finally the Swiss cheese phase.
These kinds of technical terms are much easier to memorize and can help people familiarize themselves with what would have otherwise been a very complex topic. Thus they are very much appreciated.
