There's one tennis match out there that is known as the battle of surfaces. During this match, one half of the court was clay and the other grass. This was a pretty famous match back in 2007. The grass court player had 48 straight wins over a 5 year period (on grass) leading up to that match whilst the clay player had 72 over a 3 year period (on clay).
They were basically undefeatable on their preferred playing fields.
The match itself was definitely a bad representation due to how the grass had a bug infestation and had to be replaced and that the replacement grass just wasn't optimal.
