She's a Psycho

"Sir! You should've stayed back in the car and let me handle this" Lee appealed to his Boss, Mr Beckham as he watched him look around the hospital in disgust.

The place was certainly not for someone of his caliber. He couldn't help wondering why on Earth Mrs Beckham would put to birth here.

Well! Everyone knew just how stubborn she could be even he could attest to that.

"Never mind! We are here already" Mr. Beckham waved off his bodyguard's idea, scrunching his nose one more time before suddenly sighting the middle aged looking nurse he was referred to.

"There she is!" Mr Beckham announced, approaching her quickly. He couldn't wait to get out of here soon. Seems Mr. Lee shared the same thoughts with his Boss as he held his breath when they walked past a door labeled "Casualty".

He wouldn't even dream of ever setting his foot here. He might be a common bodyguard but he was from a noble family. He was a bodyguard with class.

"Excuse me! I'm here for Mrs. Beckham" Mr. Beckham cleared his throat and announced in his most cocky manner.

Rachel who'd been packing her stuff to close for the day looked up immediately on hearing that name. A slight guilt crossed her face and she waved it off immediately.

"He should be grateful to me," she muttered to herself. According to what she'd heard, they'd been married for 9 years without a child so who wouldn't appreciate what she did.

"Ex..cuse me?" Mr. Beckham dragged while rolling his eyes. Who was she to keep him waiting. If only she knew who he was.

Well! Rachel most definitely knew who he was. His last words brought her out of her thoughts. She blushed in embarrassment as she realized she'd been staring at him and he must've concluded wrongly.

"Oh! Mr. Beckham right?" Rachel finally found her voice.

Well, she actually knows who I am. What the hell? Mr. Beckham cursed silently.

"This way please" Rachel said as she led the way. All thoughts of going home, forgotten. She had to stay back and make sure this went smoothly.

"I'm here to transfer my wife and my baby," Mr. Beckham announced proudly.

"Oh! the documents" Rachel exclaimed.

"I'll go get it from the doctor while you meet your wife and ba..by" she dragged the "baby" while rolling her eyes.

"Never mind. I could just get it after meeting my wife"

"...and baby" he added as an afterthought.

"Besides, I need to discuss with the doctor about renovating this place" he gave the place another disgusting look.

"Oh no! Maybe that will be next time your opportuned to visit" Rachel replied fearfully but tried as much as possible to hide it. She cursed inwardly knowing fully well he'd never come back to a place like this.

This hospital was about to miss an opportunity because of her.

"And why's that?" Mr. Beckham asked as they reached the door to the room housing his wife and baby.

"The...the doctor's not on seat" she finally arrived at a good excuse. As the duo stepped into the room, she peeped just in time to wave and smile at both mother and child.

She uttered a silent prayer to the heavens hoping the resident Doctor wouldn't wanna come down and meet him.

Wait! Who wouldn't wanna meet one of the richest men in Louisiana who was here flesh and blood. Rachel didn't fail to notice the way the younger nurses drooled at him.

He was drop dead gorgeous but too bad, she had more important things to handle and couldn't really pay attention to his delicious features.

"Mrs. Beckham" Mr. Beckham announced his entrance to his wife in his deep and sexy masculine voice. Elona could recognize that voice from anywhere and anytime even in her dreams.

And when he addressed her that way, it meant trouble!

Well, he would have to cut her some slacks today. She definitely wasn't going to let him have his way.

"Mr. Beckham" she greeted back in her most confident voice as she shifted into a sitting position. His anger wavered at her confidence.

He sure wasn't expecting that. He'd expected her to be in a sober mood.

But who was he kidding?

One of the reasons he'd fallen for her was the way she'd always stood up to him. It hurt sometimes but he found it quite sexy and appealing and he knew she'd win this fight.

His eyes caught his pretty little princess sleeping peacefully in her cot and all his emotions broke loose.

"What on Earth are you doing in a place like this? You're too stubborn…."

"Way too stubborn!" He shook with more fear than anger.

"What if something had happened to you or our baby or she caught some infection? '' he rattled on giving the room another disgusting look, his hands waving around to prove a point.

"But honey you know this is my hometown. I had to be there for my sister…"

"..and you went without a bodyguard?" His voice rose. He sounded more hurt than angry. Elona flinched at his countenance, her own confidence wavering.

"Uhm sir! We could...I mean deal with this later at home" Lee risked his life to butt in. He'd half expected a heavy blow to his chin but certainly not what his boss did next.

"Oh my Ona" Beckham broke into a quiet sob gathering his wife into a bear hug. Even Elona didn't expect this side of him in such a situation.

Sometimes he could be so harsh, acting all tough and rough and sometimes he could be so sweet and romantic.

She definitely had the most amazing husband in the world and she was so damn lucky.

"It's okay Honey. I'm Fine" Elona assured him.

"And our baby is fine too" she gestured to the cot.

"Yeah the baby" he retorted. His looks suddenly blank. Rachel was about to rush in through the door when she heard this.

"What's wrong with the baby Honey?" Elona asked.

Well, she too couldn't deny the fact that there was a heavy feeling in her chest when she woke up. Like she'd lost something but she quickly waved it off. She had to be happy she'd waited 9 years for this baby.

"Nothing, Wife. Just that…'' he stood up and lifted the baby carefully from her cot. Rachel could feel her heartbeat quicken.

Elona stared at her husband with so much interest even Beckham could feel the heat of her gaze on him.

"It's nothing Babe. Just that she doesn't look like me"

Rachel froze.

But Elona did the opposite; she released the breath she didn't Know she was holding.

"Well, that's because she looks a lot more like me," Elona announced proudly. "Carrie" the name suddenly crossed her mind. She made a mental note to ask Rachel about her when she returned.

"Yeah. That's true Wife" Beckham let out a throat laugh finally.

"Do you know I hadn't even noticed that" he said, giving his princess soft pecks. In return, the Sleeping beauty awoke with a loud cry.

Suddenly Rachel realized she'd been standing still all this while. As she let herself into the room she tried to cool down her racing heart.

"Ohhh! Alright! Alright! Go to mummy" Beckham handed her over gently.

"She's so cute" He commented and Elona only smiled.

Lee reached out in time to stop the tear that threatened to escape his eyes. Watching this side of his boss was just so "beautiful" he muttered silently.

"Your name please?" Hannah asked the strange looking lady who sat opposite her but, She just looked right past her. Minutes passed by. And at some point, she'd been tempted to look behind her and find out what exactly interested her so much there.

Just when Hannah thought she'd had enough and was prepared to tell her off she finally spoke.

"Rena" The strange lady replied then the ghost-like expression returned to her face.

"Oh so she can talk" Hannah muttered silently with a smirk but on looking up, she realized Rena must have heard her remark because if looks could kill, Rena gaze right now could kill her.

Suddenly feeling scared, Hannah wished she could retract her statement. She regretted not letting Rachel handle this after all, she was more good with stuff like this.

"Rena, are you with me?" Hannah asked when she felt she was gonna bore holes into her face and look right into her soul but she was met with silence.

"Okay!" Hannah said, clearing her throat. She'd had enough.

"You're names a pretty good start to get you admitted and run some tests on you to ascertain your predicament"

"Right now I'm gonna administer some injections on you so you can rest. Maybe when you wake up, you could give us some useful information". Hannah stood up as she concluded. To her surprise, Rena nodded.

"Well, that's definitely a good start" she muttered as she headed for the door.

"That lady is weird. She's a psycho" Hannah called out to Rachel who was on her way out with a baby in her arms.

"I thought so too" Rachel said, quickening her steps and hoping Hannah just wouldn't question her about the baby.

"What's up with the baby?" Hannah asked almost immediately. Rachel froze. Her wish dying on her lips.

"The orphanage?" Rachel's reply sounded more like a question than a statement and she was out the door. She made a mental note to get a nanny.

"Oh! See you tomorrow then" Hannah called out.

Rena watched as the strange lady in a white garment ran for her life but her eyes seemed to follow her every moves as she ran through bushes and shrubs like her life depended on it not for once looking back.

Suddenly, she felt something warm trickle down her legs and there were sharp pains in her abdomen. Rena felt the pains too.

She fell abruptly on the muddy floor, her clothes now a mixture of brown and red.

"Blood?" She stared down at her legs while writhing in pain.

Then, she heard the distant roar of something, maybe an animal? On paying close attention, she realized it was the sound of an engine and there was..

"Human voices!" She heard herself whisper.

It was getting more clearer now she had to run for her life but the pains seemed to be an obstacle.

"Get up" Rena screamed at the lady but she laid there rolling all over the mud.

Rena made to get up and surprisingly, the strange lady suddenly tried to get up too. She realized shockingly that the strange lady was her.

She stood up and ran as fast as her legs could carry her stopping only to catch some air.

Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw white flash as she kept running. Then it suddenly became clear to her.

Ahead of her with her small right palms spread out directly in front of her in a way of telling her to halt was a little girl wearing a white garment as well.

Her hair unkempt. The blood and mud on Rena's dress mirrored hers as well.

She realized she was staring at the younger version of herself.

"The baby?" The little girl asked in the tiniest and clearest of voices.

"I lost it," Rena replied, sobbing.

She'd just miscarried recently and she was Mr. Carson's Mistress though he's married. Carson was the Richest and good looking man in Louisiana.

Just last week, she still had him wrapped all around her fingers with her baby! His baby!! Their baby!!!.

Now she had nothing.

"Then go back and get another one" the little girl screamed and her voice sounded like the shattering of a thousand glasses.

Rena placed her palms over ears as she dropped to her knees trying to block out the pains that threatened to rip out her insides.

Now the voices were getting nearer and nearer. She opened her eyes and the little girl was nowhere in sight.

She heard it before she felt it, the loud bang of the gun.

She felt the hot metal hit her from the back and rip through her chest. She fell to the ground as warm liquid oozed out of the gaping hole the hot metal had created.

Everywhere suddenly went dark.

That was a close one for Rachel...oops

What is wrong with Rena?

Can you guess?
