Watching over their shoulders as they danced, Ace and Scarlett watched Marcus like a hawk. Scarlett knew him well enough to know he didn't attend events like this unless he was getting something out of it for himself.
"I know my sneaky uncle is up to something. Why is he talking to that guy from parliament? It's that the one who was against Bella being a princess to begin with?" she asked, stretching her neck to see.
"What do you mean, he was against it? I thought you said everyone here was happy about the coronation?" Ace asked, thinking Scarlett needed to be straight with them because things were getting serious.
