Wrath of the Storm God

Kyden Price was on a plane on the way back to California with his parents, when it happened. The world received a message from “The Deities” of their solar system. The message said they were abandoning them. They would have to deal with the Rapture/Ragnarök all on their own…. Some of the gods decided to have mercy on the beings of their solar system, but will it be enough to stop the incoming catastrophe? --------Disclaimers-------- This novel will not be serious all the time. There will be a lot of jokes, especially ones that make fun of cliché things. It will be very lighthearted at times, but there will still be the serious moments. The MC will not start the novel overpowered, he will have to work towards that type of strength. The MC will start as a young master type person because of his upbringing. He will be very entitled and slightly obnoxious, but he will eventually grow out of it. There will be romance, but it will not be a main plot point. Lastly, this is only my second novel so forgive me for any mistakes that will be made. Hopefully my writing gets better as we go. I do not own the current cover. It is being used as a placeholder, but if the creator or owner would like me to take it down, please comment on my most recent chapter and I will do so.

Another Divinity Carrier?

~

"Who are you?" Ky asked with a serious voice.

"You first!" The lady replied.

Currently, Ky was in a face off with a beautiful woman.

After Ouranos sent him out of the dungeon, Ky appeared in a forest.

It was full of dirt and very large trees that appeared to be maple trees.

He didn't expect to find anyone else when he exited the dungeon, but what awaited him was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life.

Almost immediately after he appeared they noticed each other.

She had long black hair that reached her lower back, deep brown eyes, and pale skin.

The only odd thing about her was that she was very tall for a woman. From what Ky could see, she was 1.82 meters (6'0) just like him, give or take a few centimeters.

However, her height did not diminish her attractiveness. If anything, her height only increased her attractiveness.

She had long legs and wide hips. Her waist was small and her chest was a good size, giving her a dangerous hourglass figure.

This was visible through her clothes because she was only wearing what looked like a type of workout clothes. She wore black leggings, a gray zip up jacket, and running shoes.

While her beauty did distract him, Ky was not going to let it get him killed.

"I asked first!" He shouted back.

"..."

"That is so childish." She replied.

"Shut up."

"What are you, like 8?"

"Just tell me who you are and what you're doing here!" Ky was getting frustrated by her insults.

His doru was in his hands pointed at her and she had a longsword pointed in his direction.

*Sigh*

"Fine. My name is Ariel, I was here on a hike before I was taken somewhere else. Your turn."

"I'm Kyden, and I also was doing something before being taken somewhere against my will." Ky's narrowed.

'She probably went into a dungeon as well.'

Just because he assumed she went into a dungeon as well didn't mean he had to tell her about his own experience. Alas, he didn't need to.

"Holy sh*t! You're a divinity carrier!" Ariel shouted.

"Huh?! How did you know?" Ky replied.

"I wasn't sure at first, but based on your answer you went into a dungeon as well right? I can sense your divinity. Your aura gives me the feeling of a rainy day on a spring evening, but not as depressing."

'Ouranos said that divinity carriers can sense others, so if she can sense mine then she must have one as well…'

Ky focused his senses on the woman in front of him.

'Wow… It's like freshly cut grass and something else I can't put my finger on.'

"What divinity do you have?" Ky asked her.

"You first…"

"Who is the childish one now?!"

"Shut up!"

"..."

She had the exact same replies as Ky from a few seconds ago, and she was saying this with a straight face and no joking tone in her voice.

"Fine. Ouranos, the Father of the Sky, gave me a seed of divinity. That's probably why my aura feels like a storm."

"Hmmm, makes sense. I got my divinity seed from Gaea."

"Really???"

"Yeah. Why?"

"You know Ouranos is Gaea's husband right?"

"Uhhhh, no. How do you know that?"

"It's basic Greek mythology. Didn't Gaea say anything about Ouranos to you?"

"She actually didn't say much. She just explained all of this stuff to me then kicked me out. I think she was mad at something, but I'm not sure what."

Ky and Ariel then spoke about what their respective divinity providers told them, and it was basically the same exact speech.

The two young adults were having a conversation like two friends who were catching up after a long time, without even realizing it.

"So what should we do now?" Ky asked.

"Well, I guess we should go into town right?"

"Where exactly is the town? I actually have no idea where I am right now."

"We are in the Joseph D. Grant county park. We're about a 30 minute walk away from San Jose, California."

"Ah, okay. Let's see what the situation is in the city then."

Ariel nodded her head in response.

The two made their way through the forest with Ariel leading the way out.

Ky struck up a conversation after 5 minutes of unbearably awkward silence.

"So, have you heard of Mana Assimilation?"

"Yeah, I got a scroll for it in Gaea's dungeon."

"Same here. This mana stuff is really interesting don't you think?"

"Yeah. I want to learn how to use my earth manipulation once we reach the city."

"Oh, cool! I got wind manipulation."

"Just like the earth and sky… Even our hair colors match and our eye colors are like our attributes." Ariel pointed out.

"My hair was already black, but the divinity seed turned my eye color from blue to gray."

"Ah. My hair was blonde before and I had green eyes, now both of those have changed." Ariel replied with a hint of sadness.

"Don't worry, you're still very beautiful with your current hair and eye color."

"Thanks." She blushed, but didn't look away.

"How old are you, pretty boy?" Ariel asked, reciprocating Ky's flirtatiousness.

"18" It was Ky's turn to blush, but unlike Ariel, he looked away in embarrassment.

"I'm 25." She responded.

"Milf..." Ky mumbled.

"Huh?"

"Nothing!"

She eyed him from the corner of her eye, but didn't say anything else.

"I can see the city." Ky said.

The duo finally made their way out of the trees and ended up on a hill overlooking the city.

Ky would have shouted it in excitement if not for the condition of the city.

"It's been a week since the mana core was activated on earth, and San Jose already looks like this. I wonder how the more populated cities are holding up." Ariel said in a small voice.

The city was currently in ruins.

Luckily it looked like most buildings were still standing. Some of them weren't so lucky, but it was only a few in sight that were decimated.

Even this far from the city, Ky and Ariel could see monsters roaming the streets of the city.

There were even several parts that were on fire.

There were many cars on the road, but not a single one was moving. There even seemed to be the aftermath of many car crashes.

*Sigh*

"Should we still go down to the city?" Ky wondered out loud.

"Yeah, we can go to my house and get supplies or stay there for now. I also want to go to my parents house and see if they are still alive." Ariel responded.

"Okay."

Ky was somewhat sad at her answer because it not only reminded him that his house was in a completely different city, but he was also an orphan now.

Ariel looked at him with concern after noticing the sad tone and look on his face, but didn't say anything else.

Ariel continued to lead the way as the duo went down the hill and into the city.

Almost immediately after reaching one of the streets, a monster came after the two young people.

It was a small green goblin that looked like it was straight out of a video game.

It had green skin with bruises all over it, only a brown loincloth covering its manhood, long nails, and a perverted expression on its face while looking at Ariel.

Unfazed, Ky said, "I feel like this is supposed to be the cliche moment where I get mad at the goblin for looking at you like that, even though we just met an hour ago."

"Are you saying you're okay with how it's looking at me?" Ariel asked with an eyebrow raised.

*Sigh*

"Hey you perverted little demon! Stop staring at my future wife like that!" Ky had an incredulous look on his face, and genuinely seemed offended.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Ariel bent over with her hands over her stomach in laughter.

'Her laugh is like that of an angel.'

Ky smiled at her, satisfied that his acting made her laugh.

'You know what they say, "If you can make her laugh and giggle, you can make that a*s clap and jiggle.' He thought.

He wasn't flirting with Ariel only because he wanted to get into her pants, but he would be lying to himself if he said that wasn't a consideration.

"Hahhhh." Ariel let out a breath after she calmed down.

"You wanna take the goblin or shall I, pretty boy?"

"Rock, paper, scissors?"

"Sure."

To the goblin's bewilderment, the two humans in front of him began playing a game to decide who would kill him.

He expected them to be shivering in fear right now, not doing this.

"Rock."

"Paper."

"Scissors."

"Shoot!" They said in unison.

Ky threw out paper.

Ariel chose…

A gun.

"..."

"Ariel…"

"You lose pretty boy." She said with a smirk before facing the goblin with her sword facing it.
