Golden snake

"So are you taking a tour of the city today Lien?" Yu asked,

"Yeah I am taking her, I have some really nice place to show her" Wang responded,

"Great well, I have my training to do so I won't be going anywhere anytime soon, I hope you have fun," Yu said,

"I am sure I will, " she responded smiling,

"Great maybe the best idea is for her to return home," Jen said and Wang hit the table just a little, and out of fear they all jumped even Yu.

"What?" Jen asked,

"If you blab another word, I will make sure you never speak again, " he responded and Yu laughed,

"Whatever" Jen replied, then left.

"What is her deal?" Yu asked,

"Let's just say she is kind of sensitive to outsiders" he responded,

"Is she a demonic cultivator too?" Yu asked,

"Something like that, " Wang responded as a Lien drank her milk.

"She was referring to me wasn't she?" Lien asked,

"What makes you say that?" Wang asked and she smiled,

"I noticed the way she has been towards me ever since I came" Lien responded and he sighed.

"Sorry, maybe she is jealous of something, " he said and the girl's eyes widened.

"Drop the topic, I am done, I will go take a walk now, " she replied and he smiled wickedly.

"Want me to come with you lady Lien?" he asked,

"Nope, thank you, " she responded then left.

As the girl walked in the city she saw different types of animals, but one really caught her eyes and that was the golden snake that stared at her from a cage as she passed by.

The snake raised up and looked at her.

"It's a rare color, " she said as she walked up to the guy that was selling the snakes.

"How may i help you miss?" the guy asked as he saw her staring at the snake.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" he asked,

"Yes, it is, " she responded.

The guy smiled at her then handed her the cage with the small, slim golden snake and she collected it.

"Why are you giving me this?" she asked,

"You are our king guest, consider it a present, " he responded and she smiled.

"Uh... thank you, " she said,

"My pleasure, " he responded and she left with the snake.

The girl walked to the valley of the different colors of blossom trees.

She sat down by the stream where the waterfall was and looked at the snake as it glared at her.

"Okay, the weird little snake, what's up with you?" she asked,

The snake braced its head on the door of the cage, the girl sighed.

"You want to come out, fine, but bite me and I won't spare you, " she said as she opened the door and the snake crawled out.

It curled up by her feet and placed its head on the soft blossom leaves.

"Weird creature, " she said to herself as she stretched out her hand towards it.

The snake raised up and looked at the girl then she touched it and it rubbed his head against her palm.

She smiled as it crawled up into her lap, then curled up and closed its eyes.

"Where did you get that snake?" Wang asked appearing out of nowhere and scared her to death.

"I hate it when you do that, " she said and the snake looked up at him the laid back down.

"Seems like it does not find me dangerous, which mean that is your animal guide it will protect you in the time of need unless you do not like it and want to try another type of snake or animal?" he asked then the snake looked at her with its eyes shining.

"No, it's fine, I will keep it, this world is... Different from normal cultivating" she said as Wang sat beside her.

"Yeah, it is different, cultivating does not have to be the only source of power" he replied.

"Well, I guess I do have a lot to learn, " she said,

"Yeah, you do but unfortunately you won't be able to, after all, you will be getting married soon," he said and she sighed.

"Yeah, my wedding to Hu," she said.

"Having second thoughts?" he asked,

"Nope, " she responded.

"Come on let me take you to the highest point in this kingdom, " he said as he got onto his sword and flew up in the air, then stretched out his hand to her, the snake woke up and crawled up to her neck then wrapped itself around her and she held on to Wang's hand then he pulled her up on the sword.

He went high up in the sky and she looked down at the kingdom from above smiling.

"Wow, it is even more beautiful this way, " she said,

"Yeah, it is, " he replied.

He then took her to the highest mountain in the kingdom, they call it Bolt. It is a weird name because every time there is bad weather or something bad is happening or about to happen a lightning bolt would hit the waterfall on the mountain.

The waterfall was the one with the longest drop and in the night it would shimmer, then the magical creatures would surround the trees and fruits under the moonlight.

"It is beautiful here, the mountains, trees, and even creatures," she said, smiling while he stared at her.

"Yeah, it is, well it is already afternoon want to get lunch?" he asked,

"Yeah, sure, " she responded.

He then flew down back to the city with the girl and they went to the sushi shop for that's what both of them wanted to eat.

As they sat down to eat the snake woke up when Jen suddenly came, the golden snake glared at Jen and Wang saw.

"What are you doing here Jen?" he asked,

"I came to tell you her things are ready for her when she is ready to leave" the girl responded.

"I do not like her," Lien said to herself and the snake heard then started hissing and looking at the girl.

"What is wrong with that stupid creature?" she as the snake raised up its head.
