Getting Prepared For The Makeover

While Hassan's mom and I ate our breakfast, we started to get to know each other more. Her and my mom would be best friends if they ever met each other, there was just so many similarities between them. How they talked, how they dressed, and even how they carried themselves. My mom would always walk with confidence and she would always tell me to treat myself like a queen. Hassan's mom was very positive, you could tell by the way she spoke and the words she would say. No wonder where Hassan gets it from. Then we started to talk about Adesh and Hassan's brotherly bond.

"Adesh became really close to Hassan when his father died. Adesh is just like his father in so many ways," Hassan's mom said as she stared out into space while we sat on the couch waiting for the designer.

"How so? If you don't mind me asking." I asked she smiled.

"Well for starters, he looks just like him and he would always crack jokes and make people laugh. I swear if he wasn't a doctor, he would be a comedian but his parents wouldn't allow that." She went on and I nodded paying attention to what she was saying.

"The only time I saw him down was when he found out he had cancer." She looked down for a moment.

"Do you miss him?" I asked as I rubbed her hand.

"Everyday...but I have Adesh to remind me of him so that's amazing." She smiled widely and I smiled along with her.

"That is amazing." I nodded.

The doorbell rang throughout the house and Hassan yelled saying he got the door already. We both stood up from the couch and made our way to the entryway of the house. The designer was a woman, her skin was dark just like mine but you could tell she was Indian by her features. She looked my age but taller and skinnier, her outfit was an all-black suit. She had her hair in a bun and wore a dark purple lipstick color on her lips, she was a very attractive woman.

"Hello, Miss Abdul. Nice to see you again." The designer smiled as she gave Hassan's mom a hug as soon as she saw her.

"I know, I feel like it's been ages." Hassan's mom smiled widely once she pulled away from the hug then the designer looked at me curiously.

"Who is this lovely lady?" The designer asked then Hassan's mom stepped out of her way so she could look at me.

"This is Eve, Hassan's girlfriend." She smirked as she looked at Hassan, he was blushing so hard.

"Nice to meet you, Eve. My name is Amara." She held her hand out and I shook it.

"Nice to meet you too, Amara." I smiled and she nodded.

"Well! Let's start heading to the room. Come on in, everyone." Amara clapped her hands before four people came inside the house. Two women had clothes covered in plastic on their arms and two men had come in with nice shoes am guessing it's for the outfits.

𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚?

"Oh okay," I whispered to myself, surprised by the people coming into the house in coordination. Hassan came over to me with a smile on his handsome face.

"Have fun, babe." He kissed me on the forehead before he walked upstairs.

"C'mon, Eve." Hassan's mom grabbed my hand basically pulling me as we walked further into the house.

We passed the theater room and game room before we made it into a room that was covered in gold and baby blue colors. The room had a window that showed the bright beautiful skies and our lovely garden. The people that came into the people were getting all of the outfits situated as I sat down with Hassan's mom on the small blue cozy couch that was in the corner of the room.

"We are going to dress you up so nicely," Amara smiled as she grabbed my hands "I promise." She said and I nodded with a smile.

.......

"How do I look?" I turned around from the mirror to face Amara and Hassan's mom so they can look at my outfit. This was the fifth outfit I tried on and it was the last. I felt pretty confident and beautiful in this outfit so this might just be the one.

"You look amazing, Eve." Hassan's mom smiled widely.

"Yes, you look beautiful!" Amara shouted making all the assistants smile at my outfit in accomplishment. "Is it alright if we can flat iron your hair?" Amara asked.

I thought about it for a second then I nodded my head making Amara smile widely. I haven't straightened my hair in years so this will be good and plus I want to see the actual length of my hair. I know it's grown a lot for the past six years.

"Eve, you can take off the dress while we set up in the bathroom, to do your hair," Amara said.

"Okay, thank you." I smiled. Amara smiled back before she walked away with the rest of her assistants out of the room.

"You are going to look so beautiful, Eve! I am even more excited for tonight." Hassan's mom squealed as she helped me take off the outfit for tonight.

"Do you have a dress already?" I asked as I changed back into my pajama set.

"Yes, I do. The Queen always has to be ready." Hassan's mom exhaled and I laughed.

"What time is it, do you know?" I asked and she went over to grab her phone off the couch.

"Let me see," She said as she turned on her phone screen. "Oh! It's 2:30." She exclaimed surprisingly.

"The time goes by fast, huh?" I said and she nodded in agreement as she put away her phone.

"Eve, we are ready for you." Amara peeked out the door and Hassan's mom grabbed my hand.

"Do you think I should take a shower first?" I asked before we started to walk.

"If you want to," Amara said as she nodded.

"I say no because we usually dance a lot at parties, our family especially is known for that so I suggest that you take a shower when you come back from the party." Hassan's mom suggested and I nodded.

"Okay, then," I said before I walked out of the room with Amara. Hassan's mom was following behind me as we walked to the nearest bathroom.

This was another guest bathroom but it looked more like a makeup room especially because of how big it looked. A white chair was in the center of the room, a big mirror was in front of it with lighting all around making the room shine more. The carpet was purple and the walls were white, a painting of the family was above the small white couch behind the makeup chair.

"You can sit down, Eve," Amara said snapping me out of my thoughts.

I took a sit on the makeup chair and the assistant took my hair out of the bun it was in and started to massage my scalp. It felt so good having someone massage my scalp, I swear this lady had to massage people's heads for a living. Once she was done massaging my scalp, she started to part my hair with a comb. Afterward, she put half of my hair up in a bun leaving the rest of my hair down then she started to straighten the back of my hair with a comb. At first, I felt tense that a woman who was not black do my hair but afterward seeing the results and how gentle she was with my hair made me feel comfortable and relaxed. As soon as she was down straightening all of my hair everyone in the room started to clap and she smiled widely.

"You can take a look." She kindly said. I moved my hair around then I turned around to see the length, it was all the way to my back. I felt so beautiful with my hair like this, the assistant did a great job with my hair.

"Thank you so much, I love it." I gave her a hug, at first she was shocked but then embraced the hug that I gave her. When I pulled away, I saw Amara and Hassan's mom smile widely at us.

"Am glad you like it." The assistant said then she bowed her head at me then at Hassan's mom before she helped with the other assistants pack everything up in the makeup room.

"I told you we would make you look beautiful." Amara rubbed my arm then I gave her a hug.

"You sure did," Hassan's mom said as Amara and I pulled away from each other.

After the assistants were done packing up their equipment in the room. We led Amara out the front door, Hassan's mom gave her a hug before I gave her one last hug. She went in a black Jeep with the rest of her assistants and drove off. Hassan's mom and I waved as they drove out of the driveway, she closed the door behind us once we walked back into the house.

"Now the makeover isn't done yet, " She wraps her arm around mine. "Someone will come over around seven to do your makeup." She continued as we walked upstairs.

"What time is the party?" I asked.

"At nine," She said as we walked down the hall finally making it to two double black doors.

"How long will we be there?" I asked and she stopped midway from opening the doorknob to look at me.

"For three or four hours, depending on the family." She shrugged her shoulders before opening the door. Her room was so big and spacious. I mean, of course, it was a master bedroom so it had to be spotless.

The marble floor was black with a white fuzzy mat underneath the bed and in the middle of the room. The walls were beige and the ceiling was white with a black and white chandelier hanging above. The room had a fireplace and a white couch by their window that had a view of the garden and the ocean just like the view in my room. The bed was so big and looked so cozy! It was a black canopy bed so it stands out in the room the most. The headboard was black and there were four white fluffy pillows. The covers were thick and grey with a satin gold covering on top of it. There were two black nightstands with black lamps on top of them.

"Did you hear me?" She asked. I instantly came back to reality and looked at her.

"No, I didn't. Sorry." I said. She smiled before she continued to talk.

"I said you should sleep, for the time being, you woke up pretty early." She said. I nodded my head before I walked to the double doors.

"Your bedroom is beautiful by the way," I said.

"I can tell by the way you were looking at," She chuckled. "Thank you very much." She bowed her head a little.

"Alright, see you later," I said before I walked out of her room, closing the doors behind me. I decided to go to Hassan's room, he was probably waiting for me to be done.

Once I made it to his room I opened the door to see no sign of him. I walked back out and headed to my room. I sat on my bed for a moment, thinking about what happened last night. Was Jordan really a drug lord, even when I was with him? How did Hassan find out about Jordan anyways? All these questions but I wasn't coming to an answer.
