I once watched a television program that went as follows.
"What would happen when we make a decision that we will regret later?"
I never seriously thought about that, as I find it irrelevant in my life.
Or so I thought.
I, a young man with black hair and black eyes with a terrifying look, am the third son of a house of country barons.
I was named Rudel von Bradford, a reincarnate on top of everything else.
I died a tragic death and awoke in this fantasy world of swords, magic and airships.
Yes, airships. It's pretty bizarre, isn't it?
Anyway, back to my point.
I am a citizen of the Altfode Kingdom, for certain reasons I came to this country, Aster Supreme Kingdom to achieve a goal.
Today we were starting the last school semester, I was getting ready to go downstairs for breakfast.
I have my own house given to me by the embassy, but I don't live in it for now, as it is so much fun to be here.
I went downstairs and found an unexpectedly strange scene.
The five idiots─ five attractive young men from prestigious families were kneeling.
It reminded me of a group of children being sermonized for misbehaving.
The reason for seeing them like that was because of the person in front of them.
A girl of small stature, just like her breasts, was smiling.
But not in a charming way but in a cold way.
Her orange hair with carrot-like antennae swayed from the way she hummed, her closed hazel eyes indicating how happy she was.
She was Erselica van Reinfield, a reincarnate like me, she was also my cousin from my previous life.
The reason Erselica is smiling... and holding a knife in her hands is because of what is behind her.
A pile of boxes were stacked all over the first floor of the mansion where we live.
As I went downstairs, I asked one of the two servants who were looking at the situation with complicated faces.
He was a boy of about thirteen with brown hair and scarlet eyes, Allen.
"What's going on here? Ah, good morning."
"Good morning, Count Bradford."
Replied a young maid with mocha tan skin, black hair and eyes, just like Allen she was a servant and friend of Erselica, Cana.
Allen answered after showing me a receipt.
"Look at this."
Looking over the receipt, I made an expression of disgust.
"... Is this real?"
"If it wasn't, we wouldn't be in this situation."
The reason for all these boxes are just problems, unnecessary purchases by these guys.
The word "unnecessary purchase" fits short... they ran out of all the money I gave her.
The list of things they bought is so ridiculous that I don't see anything that is actually useful. Just pure junk.
One of them spoke up.
"Emm, Erselica, don't you like it?"
Said a handsome young man with silver hair and purple eyes, he was the crown prince of the Altfode Kingdom. Liam von Altfode.
As an unimportant detail, this world is that of a game, and Liam was the protagonist.
But this boy was such an idiot that he feared for the future of the Kingdom.
Erselica answered him after making a sound with her neck.
"How do you think I'll be happy?"
"Have you seen the zeros on this receipt?"
"Don't you realize how much you all have spent?"
Even I was scared, the sound her neck was making was scary.
I could even notice how her closed eyes tried to open in a tiny way, I was terrified.
Next to speak was a handsome young man with long silky hair and green eyes, Frey van Nightray.
"Wait a moment, Erselica-san. We bought all this for you."
"We wanted to make the entrance to the new semester wonderful for you, since it's our last semester here."
"Oh, really? Then why do I only see beauty items for long hair?"
"... That's because they're for me too. Ah, but mine is yours as always."
Frey was a narcissistic jerk, hence, he was trash. That's why I couldn't empathize with him.
A new guy spoke up, he was a huge muscular gorilla with red hair and eyes, with a stern look on his face, Chlust van Arses.
Chlust said as he stood up and flexed his overdeveloped muscles, he had no clothes on either, he wasn't naked, just walking around in a speedo and his body was now orange like oily.
Put on some damn pants at least.
Just remembering the time I found him doing pushups with his glutes made me want to puke again.
"Wait a second Erselica, I bought oil for you."
"I know I used some on myself, but the oil is special and for your skin to always be silky and shiny. like this!"
Chlust struck a pose where his arms and legs showed off his legs.
She drooled as she said "I-I'm not falling for that you idiot!".
So I don't believe her.
Next to speak was a boy with relaxed looking, light blue hair and eyes. In addition to his glasses he was wearing a swimsuit.
Warren von Gravel walked over to one of the boxes and pulled out a cleaner.
"Erselica give me a moment please. I bought all this because lately the bathroom has been getting dirtier than it used to."
The reason for that is Liam's fault.
After arriving at this place, he got the ridiculous idea of being a ramen master.
No joke, this guy wants to be king of ramen before being king of a country.
I seriously want to cry.
What the hell happened to him to make it worse like this?
"W-well, that's vital. You're forgiven, and you. What's your excuse?"
She asked the last of the five, a boy with long spiky hair as purple as his eyes, Clovis von Arkwright.
Clovis said after pulling some party supplies out of a box.
"Watch please. With all this, I can open a show at the academy and make a lot of money."
"I've improved and I'm sure─ Uwahh, wait Erselica please!"
Erselica walked annoyingly over to Clovis, she was going to punish him.
Next was Liam as he just bought noodles, tons of them.
I put my hands in prayer sense and then went straight to breakfast.
◇
The first day of school was over very quickly, it couldn't get any more peaceful my life.
After arriving at Erselica's mansion, I was served by a beautiful maid who waited on me.
She was a young girl, in her early twenties, beautiful face with long brown hair and scarlet eyes, she was Allen's older sister, Ada.
Ada was a maid who came to take care of me and spy on me so I wouldn't do anything wrong. She said so, it was very cute the awkward way she says it.
Besides, it's pleasing to have her here, as her huge breasts act as a muffler every time she falls down, like now.
"Good afternoon young mas─ kyahh!"
She tripped over her own feet and hit her face.
As she got up, I saw she wanted to cry, but she tried to act brave.
Truly, thank you for coming.
"Good afternoon, young Master Rudel."
This time I was greeted by a woman with a cold personality as elegant in her manner of speaking.
She was a servant sent directly from the Bismarck Household, Felicia van Arkin.
Her light green hair is pulled back in two braided buns behind her head, her light gray eyes were hidden by her glasses.
She was a woman just like Ada came to watch me, but unlike Ada, she looked at me with total coldness.
Why is that?
That was what I wondered in the past, but not now.
Erselica shouted.
"There is no food!"
"Master, the prince said before he left he made ramen for everyone."
"I'm going to throw up if I eat that again."
I said.
"Then I'll go buy something for us all to eat for dinner, I'm bored and want to stretch my legs."
It was true. I have been feeling bored lately.
Could it be that I've finally become an old man?
"I'll go with you. There are things I want to buy too."
Who said that was the girl behind me.
"Sure."
I replied that, as I returned my gaze to its original position, I noticed how Felicia was looking at me with total coldness.
Sorry.
◇
The lights were coming on in the streets of Aster.
The city looked just like the 1950's photos and movies I saw.
There were late model vehicles that were actually classic vehicles of the era.
It was a beautiful sight as it reminded me a bit of my former life.
From the sound of the cars, to the sound of the streetcar picking up passengers, to the sound of the street vendors asking you to go to their stalls.
Everything gave me a good vibe.
"Please take that happy expression off your face. It's very unpleasant for you to make a facial expression like that out of the blue."
"Are you having obscene thoughts right now?"
"You should find a place to get rid of them, Master."
The one who spoke to me in such a disrespectful manner that deserves the death penalty is not a person, it is an object.
An artificial intelligence named Ixion, its body is a spherical gray color which measures the same as a softball.
His only eye is a red LED lens, his male voice of a young man in his twenties is an electronic one.
This piece of junk was part of an ancient humanity which he lost in a war and ended up on hold until I found him.
He has told me several times that he dislikes being around me, I should use him as a garbage can just for telling me that.
I replied in an angry tone.
"Shut up, you idiot. I was just thinking how wonderful it is to have moments of peace and quiet in my life."
"You're right, peace and quiet in your life is in short supply, but it's because you pick fights with people you shouldn't be. Rethink your wrong way of acting and then you will understand that you don't deserve this tranquility."
"You are a..."
I became very angry and moved my hand toward him to grab him.
"Come here."
"First be a good Master before you wish for a good life."
I looked like a child trying to grab a balloon.
*Giggle*
"You two really get along well."
"There's no way I do!"
Whoever said that innocent comment was my date.
A beautiful girl with platinum blonde hair tied in two fluffy twintails falling over her shoulders.
Her beautiful amber eyes radiated a warm light that enveloped you with happiness just like her gleaming smile.
She was Lucy Algrand, the reason I came to this place.
I came to prevent both the end of the Kingdom and to obtain a weapon, which turned out to be an ally, as Erselica was wrong about it.
After many unexpected events with her, where she revealed her real name, Lucyelle Liz Vermillion, the heiress of the Vermillion Household originating from the Seven Aristocratic Families, now known as Six Great Nobles, became the Priestess.
The Priestess of the Sacred Tree is an existence similar to the Saint of the Kingdom, someone important to us.
Well, looking at my right hand, I remembered that I am the Guardian of the Sapling, as the guardian's emblem is on my hand.
Because of that, I found out that Lucy loved me, I didn't know since I never imagined that something like that would happen, again.
And in the end, she became my girl, now she's part of my girlfriends.
That's right, girlfriends.
Besides Lucy I have two other wonderful girlfriends waiting for me at home.
The two of us were on a date, because I want to spend time with Lucy.
After what happened days ago, I no longer have a problem holding her hand or kissing her, Lucy is a little embarrassed to do it in public, so when we want to give each other some affection, we go to my house at the embassy to give each other joyful moments.
I enjoy it more of course.
Lucy wore a beautiful dress with white gloves, which concealed the priestess emblem.
Everyone knows she is the priestess, but among so many people it is hard to recognize her without the emblem.
I replied after getting tired of trying to grab Ixion.
"... This guy and I didn't get along at all, it's a master and slave relationship gone wrong."
"I'm your servant, not your slave, would you like me to bring you a dictionary so you can see what it means?"
"Don't make fun of me!"
"I do not. You only seek to achieve comments like that."
"That's not true!"
"If you say so..."
"Hahaha, really. I can't tell if you're siblings or just best friends."
Ixion approached Lucy face to face... or face to eye.
"Please erase that. To say or suggest that I am on the same neural or logical level as the Master is an insult to me,"
"It's insulting to me too to be compared to you!"
"Hahaha, that's why I said it."
"Despite the fact that they are seen fighting, it's not like you fight over something serious and hate each other, you fight over nonsense, like two kids."
That was a critical blow to Ixion, I could see him shake briefly as he descended to the ground.
"To be compared to Master on the same psychological level... that's the worst humiliation I've ever received."
"For me it's worse! It means I'm just like a piece of junk like you!"
Ixion rose up and tried to escape.
"If you'll excuse me, I'll go erase my recent memories so I don't feel bad."
"Don't run away!"
◇◇◇
Lucy went after Rudel who was trying to catch up with Ixion.
Her smile grew as she watched them yelling at each other.
She thought.
(If they really hated each other, Rudel wouldn't go after Ixion, as Ixion would have already flown away leaving him behind.)
(They are just like children.)
In the end, Rudel didn't catch up, but Ixion returned after reporting that he found a fancy restaurant.
◇
Ixion's bastard went to do the food shopping for the idiots and so on.
Apparently it's not the first time he's gone to the supermarket to do so.
Seriously. He says he even has a membership card.
I don't know what to think about that, more because of the fact of his very human attitude in that place.
The restaurant we were in was a low cost one, that didn't make it a non-fancy one.
You could say it was for the lower nobility and not so rich merchants.
I looked over the menu with Lucy to see what we would order.
For my part I wanted meat and vegetables so that it would be well balanced.
While Lucy wanted dishes that were delicious, but not fattening.
I looked at her big breasts that stood out in her dress, so I'm sure where all the fat was going.
The waiter came over and we ordered our order.
He did not serve non-alcoholic champagne. I can't drink alcohol for reasons unknown.
Lucy didn't want to drink either as the aroma was strong for her.
But this champagne is made from fruits that only have a light intense aroma, but they are not for alcoholic drinks.
Even children and sick people drink it.
It's wonderful to be able to drink alcohol again.
But I want to drink a real beer!
"Hey, did you get mail from those two?"
Lucy asked me something.
I looked at her to see since my concentration was on a big bottle of wine that smelled so delicious.
"Yes. They told me everything is going normal. They already want the year to be over so they can get home and be together."
"I see, it won't be long now."
Lucy met my girlfriends, Alisa and Airi.
Apparently there was a problem between them which then went on to lecture me.
They both told me that I could have as much fun with Lucy as I wanted, as when I went home I should give them three times as much fun as I gave her.
While Lucy just said that those two need to let me breathe a little.
I didn't understand what she meant.
She just stared at me.
I was embarrassed for childish reasons.
I averted my gaze.
"Even if we're a couple, it's still embarrassing to be stared at."
(Even more so for having a scary face like this.)
Lucy said after taking my hand.
"It's okay to look at you. Since I love you, I just thought that soon we'll stop being just the two of us and it'll be four of us spending time together now."
It seems Lucy was remembering when she was upset with me for lying to her. I didn't tell her I had girlfriends and that upset her.
Now it just bothers her that I can't give her time and devotion to her when I go home.
I took her hand and looked at her in the most serious way I could do.
"Even if I have more girls with me, it won't mean I'll neglect you."
"I promised you, I'll make sure to make you happy, them too. That is why, Lucy, don't worry about thinking you will live a life of unhappiness by my side."
"I will strive every day to make you smile as you do today."
Her smile grew bigger, she closed her eyes and said.
"Thank you. I already knew that, but hearing it only makes me happier. You really are the only man for me, Rudel."
"Sorry for the delay, here what you ordered."
The waiter came and brought us our dishes. But there was something strange.
There came an extra portion of cream with buns covered in chicken sauce.
"Excuse me, we didn't order this."
"It's on the house. We get discounts for couples."
"That's cost effective?"
I shouldn't say that on a date, but I'm a man who thinks about not wasting money unnecessarily.
"It may seem that way, but we actually make a lot since couples are specifically looking to come on this day."
"Oh, I understand. Thank you."
"Enjoy."
The waiter left, I grabbed a loaf of bread and put the white cream on it, it smelled like mushroom with cheese, very weird combination, but it tasted delicious.
Lucy tried it too.
"How yummy it is. It was Ixion's great idea."
"... Yes, it was."
(Even if no one asked for it, that guy does things to make me happy.)
(Maybe... should I change my attitude towards him?)
◇◇◇
The days passed quietly.
The clamor in Aster was growing louder and louder, the New Year's holidays were approaching and people were preparing to end the year.
In a huge mansion, since telling it castle was too small for its size, a girl was doing her homework.
Sitting near a desk was a girl of good looks, average height, long and slender limbs, violet hair tied in two pigtails and amber eyes.
She was Diana Algrand, Lucy's younger sister.
They were twins, Lucy was the lively older sister, while Diana─ Diantha Liz Vermillion was the mature and responsible younger sister.
Their personalities were different, like the size of their breasts.
While Lucy was the heroine of this possible sequel game, which was based on an otome game, Diana was a background character like Rudel and Erselica, since like them, she was a reincarnate.
Diana was doing her homework at the house of her fiancé, heir to a house of the six great nobles.
According to the plot of the game, her family was killed on a tragic night by the villain, the Acting Chairman.
Therefore, Diana wanted her sister to become the priestess as soon as possible, in order to defeat the man.
She tried to make her fall in love with the capture targets, beautiful and attractive boys who would make a woman's heart race.
But he failed, Lucy did not fall in love with any of them and after the problem with one of those heirs, Lucy ended up with Rudel.
Currently Diana only cares about making the Acting Chairman pay for his sins and rebuilding her house.
They already recovered their vassals and even their territory.
Her house is being rebuilt.
Meanwhile, Diana lives with her fiancé.
"Ngh... the schoolworks just because it's the last semester has gotten worse. I don't even have time to go for walks anymore."
She stood up and walked over to her closet.
"I'll take a bath now that I'm done."
She began to undress, her figure was just like that of a model.
Her underwear was mature like her personality, but without going up a notch.
Then.
"Good morning, Master Diana."
"Kyah!"
She shouted in panic then resumed her composure.
"Don't scare me like that!"
Diana was speaking to a sphere similar to Ixion, but his body color was purple and his glowing lens was yellow.
His name was Zero and he was a pay item found in Aster's dungeon.
She along with another person went looking for him and both ended up becoming his masters.
Diana was embarrassed at first to have Zero see her naked or changing, but then she understood that it was just a sphere with a male electronic voice, not a real person.
As she put on her bathrobe, she sat on the bed and asked.
"How's it going?"
"No change."
Diana was asking about various things to Zero, including whether the Acting Chairman was planning anything.
Due to the news that the daughters of Vermillion Household were still alive, his reputation started to go down.
Why keep it a secret that they were alive?
Did he kill their family?
Why would the Acting Chairman hide that he was responsible for destroying the priestess's house?
Those questions were circulating all over Aster, there wasn't a single person who didn't already know who Lucy was or that the head of Rosenberg Household killed their family.
As a politician, he was sinking every day.
Diana was happy about that.
She was even invited last week to a radio show to talk about the future of her house.
Lucy didn't go since she didn't want to, Diana went to show her face.
There she said without hesitation that it was the end of the Acting Chairman.
She put Zero on alert to look for any intruders, but no one has come for his life.
Neither poisoning her food nor following her.
She thought this was proof that the man's punishment began.
On the other hand, she also sent to keep an eye on Rudel.
It bothered her how close he and the Acting Chairman were. To the point of wanting to engage her only daughter to the Hero of the Kingdom.
In the end they went through inconveniences and it didn't happen.
After hearing that, Diana sighed.
"It seems like everything is going smoothly to the point that it's scary."
"By the way... how's Zack?"
Zack, the latest capture target, a boy who only happened in dungeons according to the game.
After certain events, Zack ended up injured and was recovering in a secret location, the reason for this was partly because Zack was angry at his father and didn't want to see him.
To the point of skipping classes.
Diana was worried about that, she thought that finally Zack would return to the academy to study.
She even thought about inviting him to eat at a fine restaurant so he wouldn't only taste junk food or processed food in oil.
But... she had a fiancé, Lugh.
For Diana, to take a man other than her brother, father or fiancé out to dinner was frowned upon in noble society. But she would only say they were friends, so there was no reason to make a fuss.
What she didn't understand, was that that was the reason why it's dangerous that way.
Zero replied after staring at her in his usual pleasant tone.
"Master Zack is getting better every day, he spends training and will soon be recovered. His injuries were mostly emotional."
"I see, good to know."
Diana smiled to hear that Zack was feeling better.
Zero moved closer and let out a comment at that smile.
"Are you worried about Zack-sama?"
"Of course I do, he's my friend."
"I don't mean in that sense. I mean that you do care about him in a... more human way."
"What are you talking about?"
"There is nothing more human than friendship."
"No. The more human thing I mean is... if you are concerned about him, in the same way that a female is concerned about a male."
Before long, Diana understood what Zero was referring to.
Her face turned red as a tomato.
"W-W-W-W-What are you talking about you idiot!"
"We're nothing of the sort!"
"Really?"
"Developing hormonal feelings is normal for humans. And in your situation even more so."
"Don't talk nonsense!"
Diana stood up angrily.
"Zack is just my friend! My fiancé is Lugh and I love him!"
"I'm not saying that. A human being can have friends and partners alike, and in this society of nobles even more so to be able to have them both─"
Diana threw the pillow at Zero.
"It hurts me~."
He said in a lying tone.
He got up and floated near her shoulder.
"I forgot. Some airships from the Kingdom came in recently."
"Airships? How many are there?"
"They don't number more than fifteen, they're not even large in size, they seem to be just escorts and also airships for diplomats and transporting magic stones."
The magic stones released from within the sacred tree was known as an orb. A huge "rock" similar to crystal.
It provided a lot of energy to Aster and part of it was due to the reason for being a powerhouse.
Zero showed a hologram of what happened hours ago.
Diana broke out in a cold sweat and suddenly exalted.
"It can't be!"
"This is impossible!"
◇◇◇
Classes in the Altfode Kingdom, the homeland of Rudel and the others, welcomed the new semester with open arms.
The days passed quietly.
Nothing unusual or chaotic was happening.
In one of the rooms sat two girls, cutting out figures to place in a collage.
A romantic event was coming up soon, but since there was no partner, it would simply be ignored.
One of the girls looked elegant, fine, of the highest society.
She was Alisa─ Alicelotte von Bismarck, the daughter of a duke and also the villainess.
Her hair is golden like the sun, which is tied in a ponytail that reaches to her back, with a bow braid across her head, her red eyes like a rabbit's give her a strong look.
The girl next to him was the opposite, she was shorter and gentler.
In case Alisa was a noblewoman, she was a commoner.
Irisdina─ Airi, cheerful personality and good girl like fields flowers.
Her haircut was a bob style that reached her neck and her color was light blonde. Which matched her beautiful bright blue eyes.
The two of them had a special bond.
Originally they were the villainess and the heroine, they were supposed to hate each other's guts, but due to Erselica and Rudel, that never happened.
Now they are best friends, almost sisters and, above all, Rudel's fiancée.
While cutting out some figures, Alisa noticed that Airi was depressed, she asked her.
"Airi, are you feeling bad?"
In response, Airi shook her head, her hair tossed from side to side in denial.
"No. I'm fine, I'm just walking around deep in thought."
"Is it about Rudel?"
"A little."
"Don't worry!"
Alisa exclaimed with a confident smile.
"Rudel will be fine, there are only weeks left until the end of the year and then he comes home. We have to be patient, we've been waiting for him for a whole year now."
Airi nodded.
She brought her hand to a scissors to cut out a newspaper, when that happened.
(Why are you acting like a saint, when you're really a witch?)
She remembered a strange and frightening dream she had.
In that dream, she was running through the streets of the burning capital.
Liam appeared half-dead in front of her, called her by her nickname and then said the words. "Airi, run away... Ixion betrayed us."
That made Airi panic until Ixion descended with a black color on his body.
He said things to her that made Airi cry and then executed her.
She quickly withdrew her hand from the scissors and clutched her head in response.
Her shoulders were shaking as if she was freezing.
Alisa stood up after seeing her shiver in fear.
"Airi, seriously, are you feeling sick, does anything hurt?"
Alisa was worried about her friend.
Airi looked at her, but that only made her condition worse.
She remembered a detail before "Ixion" killed her.
She was stabbing Alisa's belly.
Her best friend and sister, who while spitting blood was cursing her for causing all that tragedy.
Airi covered her face so as not to remember.
Alisa touched her forehead to check if she wasn't sick.
"You don't have a fever, but in any case it's better to be safe. Bell, please help her."
Alisa turned to someone else inside the room.
It was not a person, but an object. An AI like Ixion, but with a different role.
Bellion─ Bell is an AI with a white colored body, green lens and female voice of the same age as them.
Bell was found in a secret laboratory in the Kingdom.
She approached and began to analyze Airi.
After a while, she beeped.
"Don't worry Alisa-chan, Airi-chan is in good health."
"But emotional problems are another detail."
"Emotional?"
"Yes. She suffers from stress because of something psychological."
Alisa knelt down to look at Airi's face.
"Airi, we're friends, if anything happens to you, tell me."
"I'll help you with anything."
Her friend's smile along with her soothing, trusting tone of voice made Airi take her hands off her face.
"Alisa, I'm sorry."
"There's nothing to be sorry about."
"Now tell me what's wrong with you."
"... Before that, Bell-chan, I want to ask you something."
Airi turned to Bell.
"Yes, what is it?"
Airi was quiet for a few moments and then said.
"... Bell-chan, will you betray Rudel-san?"
Alisa sighed and brought her hand to her head.
"So that's it. Airi, ignore Bell's bad jokes."
Alisa and Airi had heard several times from Bell, that she wanted to destroy humanity, she would say that while helping them with various things.
Bell responded the instant she heard that.
"Not at all."
"I love Master, I love you too, so I would never betray you."
"Thank you."
Airi smiled at hearing that Bell would never betray them, but her smile was wiped away by the other name she said.
"What about Ix-kun?"
This time it was Alisa who answered.
"That's impossible."
"Ixion has helped Rudel from the beginning, after everything they've been through, and even after all their fights, Ixion wouldn't betray Rudel."
"But Alisa, what about the time he betrayed him in Aster?"
"Ixion said it was necessary to preserve Rudel's safety, and even the time we got engaged, if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be engaged to Rudel."
"I understand."
Airi was convinced from Alisa that Ixion betraying Rudel was insane.
But when she saw Bell, the floating sphere that was never silent fell silent.
Airi asked her.
"What's wrong?"
Bell answered her.
"Well... Ixion and I are totally different, our processor─ brain is totally different from you humans."
"My personality is the opposite of that cold and moody Ixion."
"Therefore..."
"Bell?"
Alisa stared at Bell, she was confused by the evasion to what answer she should say.
"What I will tell you, is entirely what I consider to be my answer, I don't guarantee it's what you want to hear."
Bell gave her answer, both of their eyes widened like saucers as they heard it.
