Chapter 010- Caged in Rogue's room

Ivanna learned from the housekeeper that Mr. Quinn wasn't around. Mrs. Quinn was however at the hospital, her condition deteriorated when Roman was abducted.

Since the building was free of the Quinns, her tensed shoulders relaxed a bit. Her room was directed to her by the chief housekeeper, her thoughtful words and positive smiles made her feel welcome.

She went in search of her room, she had forgotten to ask the housekeeper which of the rooms was hers. The path she was instructed to go had four rooms, two opposite each other. She couldn't comprehend which belonged to her. But since the Quinns weren't around, she could scour the rooms to find the one that had her bags.

The first door she unlocked at the right was empty, and the light was switched on. The door at the left was locked. Leaving the last two doors opposite each other. She opened the left door, it was dark, so she slipped in to find the switch. But automatically the door closed, trapping her inside. She heard the clatter of keys, someone had deliberately locked her inside.

"Wait…!" She knocked on the door, but no response. She heard the faint footsteps of a person scampering. "Wait… Open the Door!" She thumped harder but nobody responded. The handles weren't working either.

What was happening?

The room was dark, so grimy that she could barely see her fingers. She walked deep into the room with the hopes of finding the switch, she ran her hands on the wall to find it, but it wasn't there. How was that possible?

Why would an unknown person do this to her? She barely knew anyone here.

She had a phobia for darkness, especially dark enclosed places. Her heart started to beat fast and her blood began to sprint through her veins. Different thoughts filled her head, dreadful memories were coming back.

Her limbs gave up and she slammed the floor, she was scared. Her trembling fingers positioned themselves on the ground as she crawled back to the door. Her bags weren't there.

She thumped on the door with a weak force, she couldn't breathe normally as she felt her chest tightening. She was suffocating inside the room.

She hasn't spent an hour inside the Quinns household and she was experiencing this, what would she experience after spending a week? Or a month? That's if she was still alive.

She inhaled through her lips deeply, before releasing it. Her chest inflated and fell. Her body was squirming with anxiety.

Dark places were like death to her.

She didn't realize when she became unconscious by the door.

__________

Heavy footsteps walked into the Mansion with dominance, the servant bent their head. His dominating gaze made the servants shiver with fright. Even though people took him as a saint, the servants didn't think so.

He ambled towards his room with tiredness lingering in his steps and eyes.

As he got to his door, he paused and brought out his key. He opened the door, but an obstacle thwarted the door from opening. This brought a smile to his lips. He knew who it was.

He slid through the little space concocted with less difficulty. He raised his hand and picked a remote from a box, he pressed a button on the remote and lights filled the room.

He glanced at the unconscious girl on the ground, and a smirk slanted his lips. He squatted close to her and patted her cheek. As her lashes fluctuated, he said with a deep tone. "You're in the wrong room, vanilla. I loathe it when people, especially females, invade my space."

Ivanna felt a pat on her cheek and her eyes snapped open. The lights that shined into her eyes almost rendered her blind. She fluctuated her lashes to adjust to the brightness. That was when she heard, "You're in the wrong room, vanilla. I loathe it when people, especially females, invade my space."

She knew that voice, and only one boy- man wrongly dubs her name. Rogue. Her body cringed as her face turned to the man very close to her. Her irises were focused on him.

"You're in my room, little girl, I didn't know you were that desperate to get into my pants. All you could have done was say the word." He whispered with a smirk still tugged on his lips.

Ivanna was too confused to speak. Her head was still foggy and her memories weren't back in place. But everything came back to place after a few seconds. She remembered now.

With her head close to his, she opened her mouth to explain. "I was searching for my room, and then… someone locked the door. The person-"

The knock on the door halted her explanation.

Rogue hurled himself and walked over to the door, and opened it. Ivanna watched as a female came into view, handing him a key. It was the key to this room. She didn't get to see the girl's face before the girl bowed at Rogue and ran away.

Then, the realization hits her. He was the person who instructed the girl to lock her inside the room.

Her lips widened along with her eyes. "Y-you…" She pointed her trembling fingers at him. "You did this."

The smirk on his lips broadened. "I don't know what you're saying, Miss Ivanna, I'm a saint, not that of a devilish." He denied it, but the broadened smirk told otherwise.

"You wanted me to know you did this…" Her finger was pointing at his palm. "Why?"

"You wouldn't want the Quinns to see you inside my room with a fucked expression on your face, would you? And your room is opposite mine, don't mistake it again." He walked into the room and pulled off his jacket. "And if you want to see me strip, you're welcome to."
