Chapter 003- Missing Ivanna

"My goodness," Mr. Quinn was the first to speak after the screen went blank. The four of them and Mr Quinn's assistant were all startled by the death of the young girl. To sum it up, she was brutally murdered. But Ivanna could bet that Rogue wasn't shaken.

"The men who did this are beasts. They must be found and killed." The assistant angrily spurted.

"How could you comprehend it's a man, it could be a woman," Rogue said.

Ivanna couldn't believe he was this calm while the rest of them were alarmed.

"A woman isn't this brutal." Ivanna blunted out. She didn't know what came over her. "It might be a man wooing her, or asking for her hand in marriage and she refused. Obsessed men are the worst kind of men."

She could swear the mansion fell many degrees around her. His eyes which had been on hers since she started talking narrowed.

What did she just do?

"An obsessed woman is vengeful and four times more dangerous than a man," Rogue argued. His eyes were still burning into her.

Seriously, can't he look elsewhere?

"Are you implying she's gay?" She questioned with furrowed brows.

"Whatever way you choose."

"Stop, the both of you." Mr Quinn butted in. Nicholas glanced at her with a strange look, understanding the look she rolled her eyes.

Rogue wasn't looking at her anymore, his eyes had turned to his phone.

"Excuse me," He excused himself and strode towards the bathroom.

Ivanna found this suspicious, primarily due to nervousness. She also excused herself a minute after he left.

She unhurriedly roamed to the bathroom. The males weren't far from the females, so she tiptoed towards the male bathroom.

The bathroom door wasn't locked. She peeped into it and saw Rogue whisper-yelling to the phone.

"Fuck! The girl knows."

"Yes, she's here at the party."

"Fucking take care of her or I'll do it myself." He disconnected the call, running his fingers through his hair with unclothed annoyance, disarraying it.

Ivanna steps back when she realizes he is about to leave the bathroom. If she chose to flee, her footsteps would be heard. She decided to hide.

She hid at the side of the hallway leading to an unknown location.

Her heart was throbbing painfully.

She didn't need a professional to tell her he was talking about her. She was right all along.

She flinched when a slam sounded across her. Rogue just left the bathroom. But what she found strange was his footsteps. She wasn't hearing his footsteps.

Suddenly… a different voice spoke out behind her.

"Being too curious isn't a good trait, Miss Pierlot. It's destructive."

Ivanna didn't get the time to react before a cloth fell on her nose, suffocating her.

She struggled. But he was strong. The face held nothing. Nothing but disgust and killing intent.

Finally, she gave in and blacked out.

_____________

Ivanna whined as she tried to unfurl her eyes. Her head was aching. She was lying on a mattress. Soft, comfy mattress.

She moans in contentment, disregarding her discomfort. Home is bliss. She thought.

She heard a clangor and reached for the nightstand with her eyes still closed to get her phone. But the nightstand wasn't there.

She forced her eyes open, only to discover herself inside a strange enclosure. She jolted up in alarm, staring at the room.

Her eyes fell on the wall clock, causing her to acknowledge how late it was. Ten in the night.

She stretched out and massaged her forehead. She needed to leave here. She browsed around for her bag, but there was nothing but a wall clock in the room.

She knew nobody in this country, she left the country at a young age. And she wouldn't be that drunk to depart a party with a mysterious guy to an unknown destination. Like hell, Nicholas wouldn't allow her to take alcohol.

She slowly climbed down from the bed and tiptoed to the door. Thankfully, she still had her clothes on. She opened the door gently, it wasn't locked. Surprisingly.

The corridor was dimmed, but that was perfect for her. Before she could step out of the room, she recalled something. Rogue.

She suddenly remembered blacking out, and that was because a guy had covered her nose with a piece of cotton fabric.

Without wasting time, she ran out of the room.

She was kidnapped. Unmistakably by Rogue.

As she clambered down the stairs, she noticed the house was mum. Everything was plunging in her favor. She dashed into the living room, the house was too big to be left empty, not even a maid was in sight.

The main door finally came into sight.

She learned to always look where you're going, but at that minute she didn't forget, she just didn't care. However, she ended up positioning her legs into a rope which tied her instantly, hoisting her up.

A cry evaded her lips.

Her legs were pointing to the ceiling, she was upside down. She became thankful at that very moment that her gown was body-hug.

She notices footsteps. Men. They were laughing. Two of them.

It seemed they played a stunt on her.

"Get me down!"

None of the men answered.

Her legs were hurting and they didn't seem to care.

Just then, the main entrance opened, and he walked in. Rogue.

The living room wasn't bright, but she could see his frowning face.

"I thought you ended her," That was the first thing that came out of his mouth.

Couldn't he get her down first?

"Merton thought it would be fun to play with her first." A middle-aged man said.

"Well, I guess that won't hurt," Rogue commented, glaring at both men. He still hasn't glanced her way.

"Silas prepared a surprise for you." The man, Merton said.

They were speaking like she wasn't hanging upside down on the ceiling.

The two men exited the room and re-entered with a table and chair, while the other man, Silas, had a dish in his hand. They dropped them close to her and placed the dish on top of the table.

"A dinner with a view," Silas said, and the two men burst into laughter.

With a blank expression, Rogue walked towards the chair and sat down. He removed the cover from the dish, and Silas filled his cup with wine.

"Not bad," Rogue commented. He took a bite from the dish and sipped his wine. Finally, he glanced up at her. He raised his cup towards her, intending to give it to her, but her current position made him chuckle.

He was mocking her.

After another bite, he stood up from the chair and wiped his lips. "Don't let me repeat myself, Merton, kill her."

As he was about to walk away, a car was heard entering the mansion. It happened so fast, that the person in the car was already at the door.

Hope filled her heart. She wanted Rogue to be caught.

But he seemed rather calm when a knock came on his door. He strode towards the door, just after he glued her mouth with tape. She had no idea where the tape came out from.

He opens the door.
