Chapter 38: Ballet to the Rescue
"I came to see what I could do for you as well as to find out about Garrett's whereabouts. At least the other birds knew how to direct me here because it's a well-known place," Patrice explained. "They also say there's a treasure which Raul needs and it's under the stage at Club Ethereal."
"There's a treasure hidden there and it's for Raul?" Melinda wanted to say more but then they heard the key turning in the lock as well as an urgent pecking sound at the window.
Melinda saw Lexi hop in at the window and disappear behind a book stand, just as Menessa entered with a large, silver tray in his hands.
"I brought you kids some breakfast," he said, with a broad smile on his face.
The food on the tray smelt wonderful. Raul was relieved to see that Menessa had not noticed either one of the two birds which were now inside the library.
