"You mean to tell me there's been a hidden dungeon beneath this place for centuries? Unbelievable!" Charles exclaimed, leaning back in his chair with a sigh.
"The people are still down there, aren't they?"
"Yes, sir," Azrael confirmed.
"I need to verify this before taking any action. With my father absent, I might send someone to investigate this matter. Until then, please stay in the castle. Both of you," Charles said, turning his gaze toward Illeron.
"Certainly, my lord," Azrael replied respectfully, and Illeron nodded in agreement.
As they rose from their seats, Charles mentioned that he would get in contact with Illeron's family back in the central continent.
A glimmer of hope crossed Illeron's face at the prospect of reuniting with his family.
After the discussion concluded, Azrael and Illeron were courteously escorted out of the chambers by the guards.
