Divinity Inside You

"With that arrogance, I think you can live in the forest. Probably getting eaten by a werewolf or something," Azrael remarked, nonchalantly shrugging off the challenge.

Shadow neighed and pushed harder against the magical gate, determination evident in its efforts. The enchantment, however, held firm.

Glancing at Azrael, Shadow whimpered, its eyes adopting a pleading look reminiscent of a puppy seeking approval.

"Would you spit on me again if I open it for you?" Azrael inquired with a raised eyebrow.

Shadow neighed in response, a sound that almost seemed like a promise not to repeat its previous, perhaps impulsive, behavior.

"Alright, let's make a deal. You promise to never spit on me again, and I'll open the gate," Azrael proposed, holding out his hand as if sealing a pact.

Shadow nodded, a flicker of understanding evident in its eyes as it neighed in agreement. Azrael took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for what was to come.
