Chapter 68: A Miracle.

As the members of the Royal Knights assemble, Mereoleona informs them that she is appointed the captain of the Royal Knights.

She simply allows them to barge in and asked them to keep winning, the master plan was oftentimes having no plans... And Mereoleona was someone who knew this the best, she picked up Asta and Zora with her and entered the hideout with the others.

The Knights met the Eye of Midnight members, and the fights were ending with the Knights capturing the Midnight members but it all changed when the captured inmates were disintegrating away like withered leaves.

The hour of elven reincarnation was upon them all and the flashes of light marked the beginning of humanity's 'supposed' end. Mereoleona, who was fighting against Raia was ambushed by the Magic Knights who were reincarnated as elves, but she did not cower before the insurmountable mountains that the elves were, she fought with an untamable spirit worthy of being a lioness of flames.

"Seriously, it's incredible, even after taking all those attacks, you are still standing," Raia spoke in his usual uninterested voice, but there was a silver of genuine admiration in it, the woman who stood before them had earned their respect, she was a warrior, through and through, she did not buckle, nor did she cower.

She fought with a smile on her face even when she was faced with four elves, each of whom had more mana than her, each of whom had magic that was twice, no maybe four-times the stronger than what they had as humans.

"It's nothing, I heard of a man who could make it snow over an entire kingdom for a month just to make sure he has the last word in. Compared to him, you guys are nothing special..." Mereoleona spat with a smirk.

"Woah, I never thought I had such a good image before the Lioness of Flames. Guess, I have to live up to that, right Ryu?" A soft voice spoke with a chuckle, a voice that Mereoleona knew well but had mixed feelings about.

"What's happening, I have lost all control over the snow." The elves could feel the mana around them tremble, they could feel that the newcomer was not something that they could handle just from that stunt alone.

Someone who could make them lose control of mana was absolutely unheard of, they were from the race loved by mana, but now...

Raia was already having second thoughts about staying in the same place as this monster any second longer, but he still gulped down his worries and stood there as he prepared the strongest spell in his copied arsenal.

But before he could even start Aster appeared right before him, with a hand placed on his shoulder, "calm down Raia, you are safe, I won't hurt you. Please don't hurt the humans, the villain behind the scenes has always been hiding in the shadows."

"What... are you talking about?" asked the confused Raia.

"You will know when the time is right, but for now, please don't hurt anyone, you wouldn't want that, and he wouldn't want that either," Aster whispered to Raia and left the place with Mereoleona in his arms.

"You know some healing magic right?" Aster asked Ryu as the three were flying towards the capital.

"Was there a doubt on that? the light magic is really awesome, watch this... Light Magic: Healing Ray of Light."

A thousand motes of light floated around them and healed the lioness in Aster's hands. The magic was brilliantly executed and the efficiency and control were over the charts, Aster was one thing, but the man, known as Koro the Flash was no pushover either.

"Who are you guys, commoners who are born with a great amount of mana are already uncommon and you two appear together along with Madoka, nothing about you three adds up to the equations.

"Quite perceptive for someone I thought was a war-maniac tyrant." Koro Sensei chuckled.

Aster let her down and a cluster of snowflakes formed under her feet to let her gain a footing in the air.

"We can be honest, but you need to know that if you refuse to join us, I will freeze your memory of this instant and continue on as if it never happened," Aster spoke as his ice-blue eyes met her soft blue ones.

"The world you are in isn't the only one and we came here from different worlds on the behest of the system to run a few errands on its behalf. Join us and you will find the life of battle and adventure that you have always longed for, don't worry we will save the Kingdom either way for that is what we came here for."

"What would it entail if I join your merry band?" she asked.

"You would have to run errands with us once in a while and it would get you rewards from the system itself, you will get an opportunity to fight strong people from other worlds and go on the adventure that you have always been waiting for." Koro Sensei explained.

"Come on, stop being wishy-washy, you are a lioness aren't you? Join if you want to or reject it if you don't, simple, right?" Aster chuckled as he took out his pirate compass to check.

And the next thing they three knew was a wildly grinning Mereoleona and Aster were having the most violent fist bump in history.

"Welcome to the group, I will fill you in after we deal with the damned bastard who has been pulling strings in here for centuries." Aster snarled and the three were teleported away.

They reached the capital and the shadow palace was already opened. The three of them found a ruined capital along with a few dozen elves guarding the place where the castle should have been. Aster chuckled, and with a wave of his hand the elves dropped to the ground, asleep.

Ice Magic: Winter's Lullaby.

He kneeled to the ground and placed both of his hands on the ground and a complex magical circle started forming and spreading across the ruined capital.

A soft blue light enveloped the capital as everything that was once broken slowly returned back to how they were, the power of transmutation was on full display and with Athena dealing with the calculations and detailings necessary, Aster could go wild with his mana freely flowing through the land.

Koro Sensei smiled at the display of magic and placed a hand on Aster's shoulder, he started channeling his healing light through Aster's magic to heal everyone Aster's magic would touch. All he needed to do was start the reaction and then Aster's ridiculous amount of magic did the rest and carried on with the job.

The capital had regained its majesty back in a matter of minutes and the citizens who were hurt and injured were admiring this as a miracle bestowed by God himself, even their clothes were fixed to the point where they looked brand new.

Every human in the capital knelt in the worship of the blue light that reminded them of the clover leaf, of the faith, love, and hope the light had bestowed upon them all. The ones who saw this happen quickly gathered around and this brought many others, the people who were present there that day had borne witness to a miracle.

"We might as well start a construction business, what do you think? we will be making billions by the night... NYUHUHUHU~"

"Yeah, and name it Frozen Octopus Construction services, go right ahead my friend." Aster chuckled.

It was then that Mereoleona knew that even with all her strength, she was nothing before the truly strong characters. She grit her teeth and a burning desire to get stronger was welling up from the bottom of her very being. 'Just you wait, soon, I will definitely catch up to you guys.'

The people kneeled before Aster and started praying, some were thanking his grace and some were praying for the safety of their loved ones. Aster waved his hand and a flurry of snowflakes brought them back to their feet.

"I am no God, I am a living and breathing person just like you, I feel the same emotions, I eat the same food, so there is no need for any of you to kneel before me."

"You know, there is a term, it's called 'noblesse oblige', it means the strong will do for those who can't do it for themselves, it's a weird concept, but since I can lend the fallen a hand, why won't I? I return, do the same, be kind to the others as you would wish they were to you. It's fine if we are all different, but I am sure, if we have the heart, we can understand one another."

"Please help the ones I could not, as we deal with this menace once and for all." Aster smiled brightly at the people who had moist eyes filled with determination, they felt like they were in the presence of a true KIng who lead by example, a man who embodied the clover itself, a man who brought them, love, faith, and hope...

"Now, let's join Madoka at the shadow palace to see if she has left anything for us to do... I really want to go home and sleep." Koro Sensei chuckled.
