KATRINA'S P O V
‘‘What blind date are you talking about?’’ I asked when I realized what Tina had just said. ‘‘I am not going with you!’’
‘‘Oh, come on…’’ Tina huffed as she sat across from me, looking at me pleadingly this time. ‘‘Just this once, please…? I already set it up!’’
I expressed my displeasure by shaking my head. ‘‘You should’ve asked me first before you planned about something like this, Tina…’’
‘‘I’m sorry, okay…’’ she apologized, raising her hands up in surrender. ‘‘I’ll make sure to ask you next time. I just can’t cancel this one…’’
I let out a sigh of defeat. ‘‘Fine. But this would be the first and the last time that you will arrange a blind date for me. Cohen and I are still married, so it's not appropriate for me to date another man. What do you think would other people say about me?’’
Tina laughed, throwing her head back, which made me glare at her. Did I say something funny?
