Chapter 2

Aspen POV

After entering my office, I immediately continue the work I previously left off,see we(the company and I) are currently working on realising a new line. We have been preparing for this for two months now and I'm very excited 😊. I am usually very involved in the production process. Every Fabric, Design and important details goes through me first.

Anyway right now I was working on some last minute design.

As I was working my intercom buzzed. I pressed the red button"Miss the meeting room is ready now". "alright Laura" I respond

Time skip

Evening:

As I step out of my office building,My driver brings the car around the corner and opens the door for me.As I settle into the car my phone starts to ring when I retrieve the phone from my bag I see that it is my friend calling.

Mia Calling

"Hi Mia, what's up" I say after picking up the phone. "Hi Pen" she jokingly called me "I was wondering if you would like to have dinner with me and the rest of the girls" Now thinking about it I realise I haven't eaten anything since breakfast "Alright Mia what restaurant do you have in mind?" I ask "I was wondering if we could go to your favorite restaurant" she replies "Alright I will meet you there after I change out of my work clothes" I say "Alright let's meet up at 7 pm, so you end up having an hour to freshen up" she says "Thanks Mia" I replied. The thing is out of all my friends I'm closet to Mia, I'm one of the soft spoken persons in my friend group.

Later that Night at 7pm;

As I step into the restaurant I look around and spot the table my friends are sitting and I join them. "Hi Guys" I said as I pull a sit to join them."Hi pen" Mia says with a smile "Hi Aspen " Elle says,"Good you are here let's order"Brittney says. So from that intro you probably know who I'm the least close to in our Friend Group. The other thing is Brittney is the daughter of my Mom's Best friend. From a very young age they seem to force this strange friendship on us. Anddd Brittney is close to my younger sister that she is with me because their personalities are more fitting to each other. She is very rude and bratty. I honestly just tolerate her because of my Mom."Alright let's order" I say as I see the waiter approaching our table.

After ordering Elle started"So I heard your mom is hosting an event are you attending?" "Yeah it's kind of mandatory for me to attend😔" I replied with a sigh.

"why do you always make these events sound like a bad thing please just stop your whining" Brittney says harshly. I was startled with the harshness of her words as I had done nothing to provoke her."There's no need to be rude,I also did not want to attend one of those stupid events but my mom insisted that I attend 😔"Mia said. When she was done talking, the waiter arrived with our food. So the conversation died naturally.
