Hate toward his mother

"What are you gifting her as a birthday present?" Mu TianYu asked and swirled the wine in his glass.

"She said she doesn't need a gift. My presence at her party is enough for her."

"And you believed her?" Mu TianYu spat out his wine and looked at him with wide eyes. "Brother, from the evening she was singing that you will be attending her birthday party and will gift her an expensive present."

"She is going to be disappointed." Mu TianYu shook his head.

"What will you gift her?" Mu Yuehan asked.

"I already gifted her a customized I-phone. Her old phone was outdated."

Mu Yuehan nodded his head. He was about to say something when Mu Yifei walked toward them. "It's cake cutting time and I want to cut my cake with my brothers."

Like a proud sister, she wrapped her arms around both her brothers and walked toward the centre of the living room. She looked no less than a princess dotted upon by her brothers.

"Here, your birthday present." Mu TianYu looked at Mu Yuehan with wide eyes who presented Mu Yifei with her birthday present.

'Wasn't he in denial a few minutes ago?'

Mu Yuehan looked at his sister with a soft expression on his face. He patted her head.

"What was the need for this?" Mu Yifei said but the expression on her face was saying something else. She was happy and excited to get the gift.

"Unwrap it and see if you like it or not." Mu Yuehan dotingly smiled.

Mu Yifei eagerly nodded her head. She took the gift, looking like a child. She unwrapped it with tenderness. Her eyes shined with excitement when she saw the violin which was gifted to her.

"You remembered this." She smiled over tears.

"How can I forget about it?"

Three years back, Mu Yifei was watching a performance by a very famous violinist on television and she randomly wished to have his violin. Mu Yuehan did not have much interest in music but he heard that wish of his sister.

That violinist died and his violin was put in an auction. Remembering the wish of his sister, Mu Yuehan ordered his man to buy the violin at all costs.

"You are the best gege, your gift is best like always." Mu Yifei hugged Mu Yuehan, feeling lucky to have him as her big brother.

She looked up at him. She wanted to be strong and have a big heart like his.

Standing beside, Mu TianYu shook his head with sadness. Why was it that all his gifts were dull in comparison to that of his brother? This year he specially ordered an expensive iPhone with diamonds and gems work on it but still, it looked so dull in front of the gift by his brother.

"Yuehan." Mu Yuehan stiffened when he heard a familiar voice from behind. He turned and came face to face with his mother, Han Chunhua.

"Missus Mu." Mu Yuehan greeted her with a curt smile on his lips, without any emotion in his eyes.

In the past

Mu Yuehan had a happy family, a family of three, his father, mother, and him. They were a close-knitted family and loved each other.

His mother used to look after him, cook for him, bathe him, and help him with his studies whereas his father was responsible for earning money.

However busy his father was, he always ensured to get some free time on Sundays to spend with his family. He also found time to take his family on vacation, once in a year and Mu Yuehan loved that time.

Bedtime used to be the favourite time for Mu Yuehan. His mother recited a story for him, and his father laid beside him on the bed, making their family complete.

Once he slept, his father would take his mother to their room for their nightly activities. His parents loved each other the most.

Many times, naughty Mu Yuehan had walked onto them kissing each other, and he loved to do that. He just loved to see his parents all lovey dovely.

His family was perfect!

His father was very loving but he was also strict. Mu Yuehan was forced to attend taekwondo classes from the age of three. His father did not listen to his single pleading.

But then again, whenever he returned home hurt because of the training, his father was there to apply medicines to his wounds.

He joined music classes, swimming classes, cricket classes, basketball classes, dance classes, and many other classes and he was perfect in them, only to see the proud smile on his parent's faces.

His father was a typical business tycoon but he knew how to be a good father and husband.

Everything was going perfect in their lives until his mother died. Both Mu Yuehan and his father were broken after her death. A pillar of their family was gone.

The condition of Mu Yuehan was worse. He cried for a long time. He locked himself in his room, refusing from coming out. He stopped eating or drinking. He was having sleepless nights.

Seeing his condition, his father on a suggestion of a friend decided to remarry, to give a mother to Mu Yuehan. He married Han Chunhua, a widow, and a mother of two.

From the time of marriage, they had a mutual understanding that they were marrying for their kids. Mu Yuehan's father gave love to Mu Yifei and Mu TianYu where Han Chunhua treated Mu Yuehan like her son.

Their family got completed. Mu Yuehan treated Han Chunhua like his mother. He could not love her like his real mother thou. Qin Yifei and Qin TianYu were his siblings, he never treated them as steps.

Everything was going so well until four years back. Han Chunhua did a mistake, due to which Mu Yuehan was no longer treating her like his mother. His father left for the Himalayas to spend the rest of his life in a resort where he met his wife for the very first time.
