"Hey? Guys, this game suddenly seems to get interesting!"
Instructor Ding instantly perked up, his previous drowsiness swept away.
When he played Sisyphus before, he vaguely felt it was boring, but couldn't quite put his finger on why.
But now he suddenly understood, it was boring because it lacked "proper pacing"!
Although the road to Purgatory was fraught with peril, with a careless slip resulting in a rock tumbling off the cliff, there were many areas along this road that were not so dangerous.
For instance, every time one reached a platform, there would always be a stretch that was relatively flat.
Previously, when Instructor Ding passed through these parts, even though there was no danger, he could only progress at a rather slow pace, which was why it felt boring.
In other words, the entire game process proceeded at the same speed, and it was uncomfortable because you couldn't speed up when you wanted to.
But after discovering this "acceleration" move, things changed.
Before, Instructor Ding was like driving an old car on the Mount Akina Race Track that couldn't accelerate, only stop. The track was indeed difficult but didn't offer much driving pleasure.
Now, the car could accelerate!
And so, driving became full of strategic possibilities.
"Guys, I'm going to try it out, let's see how much time I can save on this road by speeding up!"
Instructor Ding used the main path ahead as a test track and was shocked to discover that this "accelerated push" could actually halve the time compared to methodically rolling the ball.
Of course, how much time could be saved depended on the length of the route.
Because speed accumulated gradually, the further you went, the faster it got.
On relatively flat ground, the boulder even reached downhill speeds, making one worry whether Sisyphus could keep up.
Thus, "acceleration" turned into an important core mechanic of the game.
If you want to play it safe, of course, you shouldn't accelerate at all, and meticulously overcome all obstacles.
But if you're confident in yourself and want to go faster?
Then seize every opportunity to accelerate and pass obstacles at the fastest speed allowable, to chase the limit.
Add the fact you could use the mouse to fine-tune the direction of the rolling stone by holding down the right mouse button, and this feeling... surprisingly shares some uncanny similarities with racing games...
The audience in the live stream were also shocked.
"Damn, Little Ding is awesome, he's found another major BUG?"
"Are you not only an Innate Live Broadcasting Prodigy but also an Innate Bug Prodigy?"
"Suddenly this game seems fun!"
"Quick, Little Ding, show us some speed, let's see how fast you can go!"
Instructor Ding was having a blast pushing the boulder, nearly overturning and falling off the cliff several times.
"Alright, alright, no more playing, guys, I've decided to continue my assault on the Eden at the top of Purgatory now, awoo!"
Instructor Ding finally found the joy of the game and escaped the previous boredom. He planned to climb up a few more layers to wrap up today's broadcast successfully.
But just then, he stopped.
"Hold on, guys, is that some kind of noise?"
Instructor Ding had by now reached the level of the Gate of Purgatory, with the massive Gate of Purgatory clearly visible in the distance, flanked by the huge Angels guarding it.
But he also noticed that there seemed to be a noise coming from behind him again.
It was the Infernal Great Dragon, it came back!
"Huh, guys, why has this dragon flown back again?"
When Instructor Ding first scaled to the level of "those who died an untimely death yet repented at the last minute" yesterday, he was blown off by the airstream from the Infernal Great Dragon's wings.
Today, on his second ascent, he encountered the dragon at the same time and place.
But this time, Instructor Ding was smarter. Instead of moving, he stood still and waited for the Infernal Great Dragon to fly away, and sure enough, he passed safely.
Instructor Ding didn't think much of it, assuming the dragon would only appear once, so he pushed the boulder onward, climbed approximately one and a half levels up, and approached near the Gate of Purgatory.
To his surprise, the dragon flew up from below again!
"It looks like this dragon is supposed to keep flying up from that cave at the bottom of Purgatory? Seems like it's trapped in some kind of cycle, just like Sisyphus...
"And the trigger points seem to be fixed as well.
"Hey, guys, I suddenly thought of a way to die.
"Oh no, I suddenly thought of an interesting way to play."
Instructor Ding, pushing the boulder, reached the edge of the cliff, just as the Infernal Great Dragon had only just flown out of the lowest cave. As it flapped its wings and slowly ascended, it would still take some time to reach him.
"Guys, do you think I can jump onto the back of this dragon?
"If I manage to jump on it, you guys wouldn't mind sending me some free gifts, right, brothers?"
After saying that, Instructor Ding immediately pushed the huge rock, circled around at this level, and then started to accelerate!
This idea had also appeared in his mind in a sudden burst of inspiration.
Facing the only object in the entire world of Purgatory that moved over a large area, it was normal for players to think about "riding it for a bit."
If the dragon's wingbeats could blow away a huge rock, then there was a good chance its model also had collision, right?
Of course, it wasn't ruled out that the dragon lacked collision and was only a texture, but such things could only be known after trying.
Before, even if Instructor Ding wanted to try, it was no use because the distance wasn't enough.
The Giant Dragon flew close to the cliffside. Its wings might graze Sisyphus, but the dragon's body was too large after all—Sisyphus couldn't jump that far.
But now, Instructor Ding had discovered an acceleration bug!
So, theoretically speaking, as long as he was fast enough, he could roll the huge rock down from the cliff and just happen to land on the back of the Infernal Great Dragon!
The success rate wasn't high, but it was worth a try.
Because once successful, it meant no more need to painstakingly climb; he could directly ride the dragon to the top of Purgatory, which would be insanely thrilling!
Very quickly, Sisyphus controlled by Instructor Ding ran faster and faster, and the rock he pushed rolled as if it were flying.
The current situation was extremely perilous, the slightest mishap could send you tumbling down the cliff to doom—oh, I mean, starting over from the bottom.
But the atmosphere has already built up to this point, and Instructor Ding couldn't possibly back down now; he could only leave it all to luck.
"Brothers, let's go!"
With a loud shout from Instructor Ding, Sisyphus also pushed the rock off the cliff!
At that moment, Instructor Ding's heart nearly stopped.
But in the next second, a miracle occurred.
The Infernal Great Dragon actually flew up from below at just the right moment to catch Sisyphus!
The moment he landed on the dragon's back, Sisyphus worked hard to stabilize the rock, and he actually did it.
"Damn!!"
"Brothers, am I awesome or what! Although it was a bluff, I made it!!"
Instructor Ding shouted excitedly in front of the screen, and the live stream chat was flooded with a barrage of 666s.
Now, Instructor Ding dared not move an inch, his hands left the mouse and keyboard for fear that even the slightest touch on the movement keys would destroy this perfect balance, causing Sisyphus to fall off the dragon's back.
It must be said, the view from riding the dragon was truly amazing.
Though Purgatory was vast and not all scenes could be seen even while riding the dragon, the view from this perspective was already considered absolutely stunning.
"So this is the correct way to play the game?
"Can you actually ride the dragon all the way up?"
But soon, Instructor Ding realized he was wrong, and incredibly so.
The Infernal Great Dragon seemed to feel someone on its back and began to shake its body increasingly during flight!
In other words, in about half a minute, Instructor Ding would be thrown off.
The result was naturally simple: both the man and the rock would be sent plummeting back to the beach below!
Instructor Ding panicked, hastily moving the camera around amidst the violent shaking of the screen to check the surrounding environment, trying to jump back to Infernal Mountain.
But upon checking, he felt his heart cool down by half.
At this point, the dragon had only carried him to about half the level's height; no matter how he jumped from this position, he could not reach the platform above and would only crash into the cliff walls.
It was also impossible to push the rock and run at this point; doing so on the violently bobbing back of the dragon was tantamount to suicide.
"Screwed! Whatever, guys, let it be!"
Instructor Ding gritted his teeth, held the right mouse button to hoist the rock, and then leapt fiercely towards the direction of the cliff!
Then he watched wide-eyed as Sisyphus quickly fell through the air.
Obviously, not being close enough meant just that; it seemed unlikely there would be another miracle this time.
But just as Instructor Ding had entirely given up and left it to fate, another completely outrageous thing happened.
The Infernal Great Dragon's wing, which had been flapping downwards, happened to lift up and collided with Sisyphus!
Acting purely on instinct, Instructor Ding pressed the spacebar, and then, Sisyphus once again jumped up using the dragon's wing!
Only this time, the jump was much higher than any before, like being catapult launched, directly passing one and a half levels to reach the second floor above the Gate of Purgatory!
Until Sisyphus landed, Instructor Ding's jaw hung open on camera, unable to believe what had just happened.
After a long while, he spoke, still full of shock: "Bro-, brothers, this game... it actually has bugs!"
