7. Agdus Frame

As I looked at the person before me, a description in the novel suddenly came to my mind.

'Edward stumbled upon a figure cloaked in shadows, his presence almost blending seamlessly with the darkness that surrounded him. As Edward's gaze met his, he found himself locked in an intense scrutiny, unable to tear his eyes away from the enigmatic stranger before him.

The man bore a striking countenance, marred by a jagged scar that cleaved across half his face, a testament to battles fought and secrets kept. His hair, a stark white reminiscent of freshly fallen snow, framed features that exuded an aura of silent authority. But it was his eyes that held Edward in a trance-like grip, pools of darkness that seemed to swallow the very light around them, leaving nothing but an unsettling void.

Despite the chill that seemed to emanate from him, there was an undeniable magnetism to the man known as Agdus Frame, a name whispered in hushed tones among those who traversed the murky world of shadows and deceit.'

"Agdus?" I unknowingly said his name, and the next second a dagger was next to my throat. I wanted to use my Sin Of Greed, but the System said:

[You can't use any of your bloodline abilities apart from the Sin Of Sloth right now as Shiva can see everything you do and can probably recognize your bloodline as he fought ######. Ugh, it seems you're not strong enough to know his name, well whatever you can't use it.]

"Ugh, why didn't you tell it to me!"

[You did not ask.]

And then the system went silent. I looked at the man, and before I could explain myself, he slid down his dagger and looked at me.

"I don't know how you actually sensed my presence and knew my name, but I think everyone has their secrets and the less you know, the safer you are."

"Yes, sir.", I said it as if I talked to a commendant.

"But I can't help but wonder, how do you know my name?"

"Because?"

"Just say it if you don't want to tell me."

"Well, not that I don't want to tell you but more than I can't tell you."

"Well, curiosity kills the cat."

"Yeah? I suppose but you're not a cat, are you?"

"Ahahha, yes I'm not."

"Yeah… But if you don't mind me asking, why are you here?"

"Not like I have a choice, that stupid father of yours said that I needed to protect you as the heir to House Silvercrest, first avatar of Shiva and most talented individual, but I was supposed to do that hiding myself and I just couldn't know that you somehow acquired the talent 6th sense today so I didn't really try to hide myself."

"Wait. How do you know?"

"Uh, young boy if you know my name you must know what I do and I already met people with this talent."

"Ah, okay… Well, you don't need to hide yourself anymore.", I said relieved that he didn't kill me.

"Okay."

Then there was an awkward silence as we didn't know what to say to each other so he just bid me farewell and stood guard in front of my door.

As he went out of the room, I looked at the information I have about him from the novel. He was the leader of the assassin guild and an SS+ Ranker. He was on a mission with Edward; they worked together and even became friends and through some clichéd manner became subordinate and master. But who could have thought that Agdus Frame, surnamed Voidwalker because of his affinity with the shadow element that was so powerful, when he kills someone this person literally sees unending darkness akin to a void before dying, you're probably wondering how do I know?

Another plot hole that can never be understood with common sense but after all I'm in a fantasy world so I'm not that surprised by the lack of common sense. As I thought about it I remembered how he died: he was on a mission and met an SSS Rank monster, and he died protecting one of the female leads when the MC was literally a few inches away flirting with another future female lead.

Then in his final moments he said something intriguing:

"Master, please don't be too hard on Cassius it wasn't his fault."

The readers went in an uproar and asked why he died in such a stupid manner and what he meant by not his fault when the guy wants to literally destroy the world.

But even as the novel was coming to an end and we got more clues, it was left unanswered because Edward died, we don't even know what happened afterwards as everything was in the point of view of the MC or some important female leads among his harem.

I looked at the ceiling and suddenly something came back to me; it was 3 days befor Agdus's death, he gave something to the MC from his ancient family (he was from a powerful ancient family and it was a treasure from his family.) The MC got the item and with it jumped Ranks much faster than before and eventually became EX+ Rank with its help. The item was :

[Moon necklace - Divine Rank (EX+):

- From 11 pm to 1 am your mana will never decrease

- You can choose an hour of the day when your overall Rank will increase.

- Night vision

- When the night falls you can see the mana in the air and control it more easily]

It was a really good item that I planned to have so I decided to plan my approach and get it, doing the same thing as the MC; making him loyal to me. Like, I know some things about Agdus but not enough to make him close to me enough to give me his family treasure from century, after all it took the MC 4 years to get it even with his plot armor.

So, my plan is to gradually become friends with him. As I thought about what to do, he suddenly came in and said :

"Sorry young master to barge in but the Lord called for you."

"I am coming but please stop calling me young master it embarrasses me after all you'll always be next to me no matter what I do."

"But…"

"No buts just call me Cassius."

"Yes… Cassius."

"Ahahaha, let's get going."

As we made our way to my father's office, I started talking to him but he was still silent and didn't respond to all my questions. I still learned a few new things about him and felt content with my progress after a single day.

As we entered my father's office, I saw him sitting with a serious expression and looking at me with a bit of his pressure released, and even with this bit of pressure I felt like dying and had a hard time breathing and looked at him questioningly as it was the first time he released his pressure. He opened his mouth to start talking and what I heard left me perplexed.
